Yes I love these restorations. The item looks like it's been on the bottom of the sea 200 years. Just rinse it off under a tap and it is like new again!
Amazing...almost magical the way you did that. You must have gone to the best conservation university to learn those techniques and how to use tools with such precision...not to mention the chemical expertise. And saving that rust...magnifico!
Just Starting of the video the box front is The Dyers’ Company slogan is one of the ancient Livery Companies of the City of London. da gloriam deo, interesting video 👍
I already know that this gun was used in 1824. I just wasn't keeping track of the time-line regarding when it was in service. This was the same time when our American ancestors were traveling further westwards into states like California, Washington, and Oregon. They first started traveling from the coastal Virginia. Alaska and Hawaii weren't admitted to the union until 1959. It's all about the gunslingers of the western frontier. Am I speaking of outlaws like Jesse James and Billy the kid? 🔊
This pistol first registered in 1820 and became gun maker to his Majesty George IV, H.R.H. the Duke of Gloucester, the Emperor of Russia & the King of Bavaria.
@@AngelChimentiEl revólver es una pistola, se puede sostener con una sola mano. Lo que lo hace diferente es simplemente el rollo de bala que puedes girar en el medio del arma para poder almacenar balas dentro.
Great beautiful gun , you never should sand the engravings , no cold bluing, no metal conservation , you should never ever sand or clean Up old coins and medals they Lost all numismatic value, the gun it self were really rusty but It was in great fine codition I believe and no ofense my friend this is not a restoration work it looks more as a cleaning one. Best regards , great job. Just for curiosity what is the caliber of the gun? And if you had any chance to fire It? Thank you .
I appreciate your feedback regarding the pistol restoration. I apologize if the choice to sand the engravings didn't meet your expectations, but I understand that it might not have resonated with everyone's taste. We value your input and take your opinion seriously. If you have any suggestions for future restorations or improvements, please feel free to share. Your insights help us learn and grow. Thank you for taking the time to express your thoughts. Pistol is in Working Condition. All the engravings and marks are well persevered. and also war medals.
There’s better ways to restore guns like these. When you use heavy wheels like that, it grinds the old finish off. If you boil it in water for about an hour and use 0000 steel wool on it. This is called rust-bluing Nearly every other restoration channel uses wheels and ruins the gun. You gotta stand out man. Check out Mark Novak’s Anvil videos. By far the most useful restoration tips on UA-cam.
No es una pistola, es un rebolber porque tiene tambor rotativo, las pistolas de esa época solo tenían un sistema de un solo tiro y algunas solo dos,( por lo que se!).😊
Not so good video... slow.. and you missed the most important part .. showing/using the working "action" of the pistol... and how live ammo loaded and fits... OVERALL mark C-
Thank you for the feedback. I appreciate you pointing out the areas where the video could be improved. I'll make sure to include the working action of the pistol and demonstrate how live ammo is loaded in future videos. Your input helps me improve the content I provide.

Scratching the rust with a knife. Please!¬ That's as far as I watched it.
Using a knife is like swearing.
That’s some pretty new rust

What a bodger, scraping rust with a penknife, and not even a decent screwdriver, shouldn’t be let loose on a rusty garden gate let alone a firearm.
this guy is a butcher
Lots of fresh rust on that.
And as for the war medals...

Thanks for the throwback to 2009 with the best cellphone I used to own. A black Motorola Razr.
You also have it.great
I'm sure there are other ways to remove rust that don't involve a pen knife
😁
Parabéns ficou muito bom
👍👍👍
При такой ржавчине, такая хорошая резьба на болтах, сам состарил сам расцарапал😂
Great restoration

Why do you save rust?
For create something
You need to use gloves prior to opening these types of items to be on the safe, just my opinion. Great job on restoring this item.

It could have been made better with sand and polish in the end.
Thanks for Ur interest
I am with the other guy; you don't remove rust with a knife. And why would someone send you a gun in a box that is worth more than the gun.
👍👍 This box is not worth more then 2$ but pistol estimate is 1200$ to 1500$.
This type of firearm was popular in North America from 1830 until the American Civil War.

Una restauración preciosa

So the non metal handle rusted too??
