This still happens to me.. One video that I posted like 5 months ago its views are still growing.(normally my videos go dead in like 2 days cauz I'm still a very new channel - 6 to 7 months old)
What's your channel name ?
@@rajatdas2441 dude click his pfp lol

I hope this will happen to me too. I got 18sub only and got started a month ago.. My gaming channel didnt reach a thousand views yet. maybe for the coming months hopefully...
Making evergreen content makes a lot of sense since trendy content can die down quickly. Trendy content can probably lead to instant growth though, whereas evergreen is more slow and steady. Nice video as always! :)
How do you have 317 subs?!?!!!!
@@suryakamalnd9888 what do you mean? Too high or too low?
@@sule_ytMy channel is 7 months and I'm still at 57 subs but your channel is 6 months old and you have 320 subs... How so high?!?!?!
@@suryakamalnd9888 Well, I only have 62 subscribers. :)
@@sule_yt still more than me...
Highly recommend doing this, content like these are very nice to have because you ultimately won't have a ''dead'' channel when you're taking a break, also when your niche ever happens to get more attention, those type of videos will start to blow up. I have a few of these videos and when my niche got more attention I was receiving 25.000 views every day ( I normally get 5.000-7.000)
Wow congratulations dear
Yo simply addicted what's up
I have been studying these videos for ages its really helping me grow thanks!
I've found our best "evergreen" content had the worst starts in our analytics. However, after 3, 6 or even 9 months, those videos began to rank and consistently bring in views. Now we try to sprinkle in evergreen content with our normal videos that don't have as long of a shelf life. We've found this to be a successful strategy where we don't bore our audience with too much search based/informative videos. As always, it just depends on your niche/audience. Happy creating, everyone! 😍👍
thank you this is really encouraging
One thing I’d love to have with Vidiq is a video planning tool. Just like a worksheet that outlines all the steps of the video making process with tips for each step!
but make it free
Great suggestion!

I have a couple of videos that I would consider almost evergreen (gaming video tutorials that could go out of date one day) and it's very comforting to know that there are thousands of people watching my content every day without me feeling this pressure to upload more and more. Would recommend!
Nice💡
I agree with your term "ALMOST evergreen" content, lol 😄 I consider my videos are almost evergreen too (like giving solutions/tutorials to solve a puzzle game).

I think you guys should do a deeper dive into the game dev niche. It’s a really weird part of UA-cam. A lot of small channels get a ton of views due to just how much content game devs consume (my first video has over 1.3k so far) but then there are weird plateaus where pretty “big” game dev UA-camrs are in the 4-5 digits of subscribers, then there are a handful with 6 digits like Sam Hogan and Thomas Brush, then we have like 1 dude with over a million subs (Dani, there are probably more but most likely not) I never have an issue with SEO because the only thing anyone ever looks up is “Devlog”. Over 70% of my views come from browsing features. It’s just really whacky and I think VidIQ could dig into this world way better than me looking at analytics. Also you guys are doing the lord’s work and every creator really appreciates all you do!

Evergreen and interesting....you're halfway there.
I want to ask a question about my channel
When I posted a video a couple of days ago my video get for example 500 views In a day but now my video in 2 or 3 days get only 10 or 20 views what happened to my channel can you please answer to my question
Is it possible for shorts to ever be evergreen content? Or do they all continue to slowly drop off eventually?
shorts usually get pushed suddenly by the shorts tab but the problem is that they come down fast too. Maybe it can get few views over months but it's not totally a good evergreen video
@@sciencedestination4677 I mean I have shorts from half a year ago which still get 10K views a day but it still is slowly always dropping off so I’m wondering if I can ever expect it to settle at a certain amount and live on at that view rate
I agree. I have a video from 2019 that is one of my top perfomers videos. The worst part is the software is a little dated from what the UX/UI industry uses as they have move on with better tools. I am thinking of doing a revisited video to the new updates (if there is any) but not 100% sold that it will get the same traction as the original video
I appreciate how you broke everything down. Please allow me to question you about a small issue. Within three weeks after I uploaded the video to my channel, it started receiving views and subscribers. The issue is that as soon as I posted a new video, the old one instantly stopped receiving views, but the new one started, and I had to upload another one before the same thing happened again. So, I want to know is that supposed to be normal? If not, could you please explain?
Evergreen content is so much more consistent compared to doing trends. Trend hopping, while helpful, will eventually die down where evergreen can forever help build a channel. Nice vid 👍

90% of my UA-cam channel is SEARCH-BASED, evergreen content! Tutorials / Information that people in my niche really NEED to know. The other 10% of my channel is more personal, and trend-related! Question for VidIQ - Could we possibly see in the future, a change to video length requirements to run ads? I feel with more and more people consuming shorter and content everyday, that maybe allowing 5min+ videos to have ads? Instead of just 8min+ videos. I noticed a lot of my favorite channels have been releasing shorter videos, like sub-8mins because they average higher view duration which pushes the video further... Thoughts on this? Do you think 8min requirement for ads is still a good length?
good
How do you do an evergreen content about video games?
Any type of tutorial you do - may and will be made obsolete by reworks and balance changes. Maybe in a year, maybe two, but it will.
I think I need to focus on the tips you shared. I recently started to shift my channel from Gaming streams to Photography content. I should plan on making a review or tutorial video for the same.

Yeah he's right! Where others in my news show the latest updates or let's plays I create stories. These stories are fun even for new audience after years! I got lots of views on older video's even if I only post 1 video a week. But there's a little catch: If I do NOT upload one video every week, the algorithm is stopping to promote my other video's. So yeah "forever" is a big word... you still have to work for it.
Nice one dear
Done Please 🖤
This is 100% true I have a video with around 40k views that is constantly my most viewed video every month since the algorithm first pick it up it's now a year old and for the first month or so it flopped like all my other videos but once the algorithm picked it up it's generated tons of views for my channel (the video has 40k views and my total views for my channel is around 130k)
Yepp. Thats the plan. Besides recent updates and news, I will implement discussions on evergreen topics 💪
Wells said Dan! Looks like this video is for me since that's what my goal is for all my videos, to create evergreen contents!

I have 3 videos that I consider evergreen. These video are a kind of unboxing videos. In each video I explain why I bought a specific backpack. I show each feature on the pack so that the viewer has an idea of what they will be getting before they go shopping for backpack. I have a small channel, as you can see. I am happy when I can get 20 views a day, ecstatic if I get 30. My best performing video, without promotion, is a backpack "tour" that has gotten 4,694 views since I published it on 5/29/21.
My niche is hiking and recreation. I am trying to find more evergreen topics.

I make videos around true crime stories, I would imagine while it is not always the most searchable, it is fairly evergreen given the fact the documentary-like nature of the content usually does not have an expiration date.
My trip report was an unexpected evergreen and I’m forever grateful for it! 🍄✨

Currently 95% of my videos on my channel are only relvant for 24 hours, I'd say some are relvant for 7 days, and very few are relvant for 3 months. This is because the game I make videos on changes a lot in such short time frames.

I'm currently creating information content that is packaged in visualization data, some channels have a lot of views, but not a few novice youtubers have trouble getting views..

As a gaming (mostly RPG) channel I’ve had the most success with Skyrim and Morrowind related content as people are still searching for those games quite a lot. Not to say they’ll be popular forever, but Skyrim is still everywhere 11 years later

I made a UA-cam short on roblox limiteds and it got thousands of views a month and it’s 88% search term
It was really interesting ! thanks for sharing ❤
Exactly what I've seen from my experience. 'Mavi Design' being a tutorial (evergreen content) channel I've had videos get almost no views for months until it started ranking highly in some key search results. Since then, they've been bringing consistent views every week. The growth is slower than when covering trending topics, however the growth is steady, more predictable and longer-lasting 💪
