I made this pie and it was delicious! The only change I made was instead of the Carnation milk, I used 2% milk. It came out perfect!! I will use this recipe again!! ❤
Mrs Dee, I made this pie yesterday for thanksgiving because chess is my wife’s favorite pie. We had it today and she absolutely loved it, thank you for sharing your recipe. Also this was my first time ever making pies and it was super easy to follow your lead, Happy Thanksgiving and God bless
The first time I ate chess pie was in junior high school in mid-70s in Cincinnati. It was the most popular dessert in that school. I've been looking for that recipe for quite a while and yours looks just like it. I'm going to make it today and I'll let you know if that's the one I'm looking for.😀
Hello Mizz Bea. My family really enjoyed this pie. It’s so simple to make but delicious. Thanks for your love and support. God’s Blessings to you and your family ❤️❤️❤️
This turned out good but a little too sweet for my preference, so the 2nd time I made it I reduced the sugar to just one cup and squeezed an entire lemon into the mix. It came out perfectly sweet and tart. Hope this helps someone. Thanks for the tutorial anyway ❤️
Hello Ms Diane. Yes...You saw this on my other channel. When I have my family on my videos I’m putting them on my family channel...while not wanting to deprive my larger channel viewers of our new recipes. I was told this by one of my viewers. Thanks for your love and support. God’s Blessings to you and your family ❤️❤️❤️
I noticed you didn't use the mixer when you were combining the sugar and the butter. The last pie I made never set up and was runny. I'm wondering if the fact that I use the hand mixer to combine the butter and the sugar might have caused this. Is there a reason you don't use the mixer here? Thank you
It's good to tell us if you use an unsalted butter how many eggs any measurements of anything that you are using for this pie will be appreciated we don't know how much do we need of each ingredients

An egg pie is slightly different from this Chess Pie. I will be making one soon. Egg Custard Pie was my Mother’s favorite pie. She used to requested me to make one for the holidays. Thanks for your love and support. God Bless You ❤️❤️❤️

It's good to know that the 2% milk works in this recipe. I didn't want to have to buy milk different than I normally use. Thanks
It looks great! Thanks for making it and sharing it!
