Overall I liked it. But like you said would have been nice to get Ethan Peck to cameo too.
Even if no cameos felt there should have been something more to Burnham’s assumption that mirror Spock was all out evil. Unless I missed it she didn’t ever find out the good ge tried to do.

I tried to figure out when the Mirror Doc and her crew escaped the pocket; at first I thought they emerged in the 24th century, but then it seems unlikely that she would make herself known to the FED, they'd accept a Terran into their ranks, and then put her on the most important mission for Starfleet EVER!!
Speaking of time; one thing that's stretching credulity is the clues are all safe and secure exactly where they were left 800 years ago (from end of Dominion war to 32nd century)! No one colonized Lyriac, floods hadn't turned the breeding grounds of the CGI bugs into a swamp, and the ISS Enterprise didn't blow up (even after it appears the Burn screwed up the portal into the Pocket Universe)
Imagine a group of archeologist trying to solve a puzzle created in the 13th Century and finding clues scattered around the globe. But the Stone Circle where the first clue was stashed was bulldozed to make way for an Amazon fulfillment center; the library of the greatest school in Europe was sacked by the French in the 1700's, the British in the 1800's, bombed by the Austrians in 1908, bombed by Americans in 1942, and then burned to the ground by Communists in the 60's; and then the statue that pointed to the final clue was torn down by a mob of angry peasants 5 years after it was erected!

    Nice breakdown.

I am really hoping that there is some kind of temporal event that erases this entire version of the Star Trek future. There are so many issues with this show but the biggest insult was the concept of "the burn". It is such a disservice to what Gene Roddenberry created and the whole series should just be deleted and never mentioned again.

I give it a 4/10. Yes, it was boring. Raynor was the highlight of the episode. Also the cat.

They should've just called this series Star Trek Michael "Space Jesus" Burnham. or Star Trek "OMG MY EMOTIONS & FEELINGS!"
I had hoped this last season would focus less on the emotional drama than the previous 4 seasons, god was I naive! It's even worse in this season, everyone is having a borderline emotional breakdown yet again.
The fate of the galaxy is at stake and there's mere minutes to spare in so many situations, oh but let's all sit down around the fire with a cup of cocoa and talk about our feelings..again..and.....again.
I mean is this all to appeal to "modern audiences"? It's just freaking stupid.
I love the fact you can just beam aboard or dock with the flagship of a military superpower like the Federation, Terran or otherwise and just bypass every security protocol within seconds, or unplug one cable and it overloads the entire ship.
And don't get me started on the bloody flamethrowers on the bridge, they clearly weren't content with the over the top exploding consoles and sparks, now we have to see flamethrowers every time the ship takes a bump.
How many times in this one episode alone could they have either killed, or stunned the two love struck villians?
The entire galaxy is again, at stake, but only Michael "space jesus" Burnham can save the day with her overly emotional diplomatic tongue it seems.
And of course, it had to be Booker who somehow had a link to the villians father, it couldn't be anyone else!
