- I’m an only child and friendship hasn’t always come easily to me because I spent a lot of my time alone as a child. Being alone comes naturally to me; being a friend does not. Yet, I have been blessed with a friendship that has been a source of healing for me and today we’re going to talk about how it happened.

She reminds of my BFF...esp when she says "What had happen was..." I miss my BFF so much. She passed in 2021 right after she turned 51. We had been friends since babies. Praying God will bless me with at least one person who can not replace her, but be a trusted confidante. 🙏🏾

You realize a lot of your friendships were birthed from a place of toxicity or insecurity... I been so worried about and feeling guilty about this season of exclusion and isolation and a need for total restart.
It’s important to evaluate the relationships in your life and figure out if they’re life-giving or just familiar! 🩷

This really hit me! Yes I have my husband who’s been my best friend for 20 years, but I don’t have any friends. I’ve been there for many, showed up, was a shoulder to lean on, but that didn’t create friendships. The one that actually did form, was extremely taxing. I was tasked with being to her what her husband and mom weren’t being. I tried my very best to keep up with all of her demands and expectations, but in the end, it just wasn’t good enough. I honestly believe in my heart that the Lord created me to be a friend to many, but not to have a friend and I’ve become ok with that. It was so hard to accept, but I’ve accepted it. When I hear people talking about having friends, my heart literally rejoices for them, because I know the value of friendships. ❤
It's a gift to have the capacity to be a friend to others! I pray God surprises you with a no-strings-attached kind of friend that pours into you the love that you've shown so many others. 🩷

It’s crazy that I’ve always been the best friend to others but I have never had a soul be a TRUE best friend to me this video has put a lot in perspective I am a middle child so I am accustomed to being alone … I think that some ppl are natural loners I love the idea of girl groups but I never really belong when I’m apart of them ❤️ I’m hanging on to hope tho 😂
