I had to forgive my ex. He was physically abusive. God told me to say this prayer, ‘God, I choose to bless ______ I asked that you bless him Financially, physically, emotionally, and spiritually bless him.’ I absolutely hated him. God promised me that if I prayed this prayer that my feelings would line up with his word. I prayed for him to three times a day. Every time I thought about him it took about 3 1/2 months to where one day. I was praying, and I actually felt compassion for him. I thank God for his love and his grace and his divine help in my life I don’t know where I would be without him.
I understand what you're saying, i had the same problem, when i mentioned his name i would get fast heart rhythm, it was fear and hatred all in one.. for all i endured in 24 years of marriage. But i give God Praise for delivering me from death, and then showed me how to forgive. Life is good. My God is always good. 🙏🏽❤️✨️

This has really blessed me, But it has been so hard for me to move on from so many things. I feel like I forgive but it is so hard to be healed. Everything I have been through affects my every day life. I will keep praying to be free so that I can stop hurting people I love.

This made me cringe inside as a mom, grandma, great grandma I cannot believe how desperate her mother could be not to defend her child. BUT Satan, always tries to see how he can steal and destroy someone’s life and what’s hurtful is so young. That’s why I detest sex trafficking! That’s another subject. But I totally agree. Unforgiveness can be a person’s unhealthy life if you don’t forgive, we have to be grounded in God and know that we have to lay it at his feet and continuously, remembering that he paid a price for us to be set free. Hi ladies..all i can say is ..wow...its 3am where i am...you just Popped up on my feed for the first time. What an amazing pgm. Just last night i Was watching a story about a lady who Committed a very egredious crime many Yrs ago..she was filmed at a recent interview for her release from prison. The majority of people Are against her release. Turns out..she was horribly Abused in her early yrs as also. I said to myself...her life is in Gods hands. My heart Went out to her... I thought that maybe i Cant forgive her..but i can pray for her. god will do the rest. She will wind up where he Puts her. Then tonight Up late..scrolling. And There you were. I think about the scripture...we..all of us...sin...and fall short of the glory of god. Thank you all so very Much.
Amen🙏🏽 this was beautiful, i've been through somethings also, and it was my Pastor's altar call to say bring all that you can't forgive on your own an leave it here at the feet of Jesus. That Sunday i walked away a free person, and i realized what forgiveness means..so when i was hurt by a friend i considered family, i knew what to do to survive and not carry the burden around. Forgiveness - there's two sides to the coin. There's forgiveness and there's repentance. The people that transgress against us; repentance is their path to reconciliation with us. Someone who is not willing to repent, will continue to perpetuate the pain. In this case it is wise to physically separate yourself, for your own well being. Through prayer, our hearts can be made tender towards those who have transgressed against us.

Your voice is powerful for your well being, and it is truly transformational for helping others, and making the changes that are necessary. If you’ve kept quiet for a long time, people will be surprised, and may not like the “you” who has reclaimed your voice. Please know that this is okay, normal, and to be expected. People get used to your silence, and now they will have to adapt to your voice. I'll have to keep forgiving specific family members for the rest of my life. It's my choice, and I choose not to walk in kindness, although it has been taken for granted, MANY times.
How do I deal with it when it's not in the past but in the present. When you are staying with someone who knows that you have nowhere to run to. Someone who will abuse you because you have nothing to stand on your two feet. Because he knows that even your family have little to nothing to offer to you for your dreams to come true. Someone who doesn't care about you and who treats you like a robot. Someone who will even paint a picture that nobody will believe you, especially to your own children. The past two years the animal in him really came to life when I started doing my degree. It is my 3rd year this year and the hurt is not getting better.

God can pull you up from anywhere, even there (God isn’t scared of the mess, and you are so worthy of His help) . Please rest, and trust in God knowing it’s not on you to fix it. Forgiveness breaks down bondages and restore you gives you peace and new life. I lost my job and kept lamenting blaming my colleagues. Then Jesus visited me in a closet when praying mid day on the last day of my 7 day prayer prayer and Jesus visited me and calling me by my name saying ,''I know you are hurt and you want revenge, what should I do,do you want me to make them loose thier Jobs and live as you are .I said no Jesus don't make them loose their Jobs I don't them to suffer like me.Then Jesus then forgive them from the bottom of your heart.Then the next day I contacted my colleagues greeted them and wished them well and blessed them.After few months I received a prophecy that God is going to restore my job and indeed October 2012 I got a job which up today I am still in and with so much power grace and mercy. So forgiveness is the best medicine of your life. Stay blessed.

I also want to learn from that, I need to forgive my husband who is a narcissist, who abused, manipulated, lied and cheated on me for 3.5 years, Last year he left when I was 3months pregnant, he wanted a baby and after i got pregnant, he rejected the pregnancy, he abandoned me, the pregnancy was very tough, that is a journey you wouldn't want to walk alone. He hurt me intentionally. End of last year, a baby was born, up to now he still hasn't come to see his child or supported her. What surprises me is that the moment I start forgetting the trauma, he calls or texts that he wants to be part of his child and never does that. I am in a healing process and I honestly dont know how to forgive him. I am bitter looking at the 3.5 years I have been with him and all I did was to love him, provide, support and build him but that was not even enough. He just used me and lied to me😭
You know David said, they laid to my charge things I know not , we the church need help , the devil, capitalize on our vulnerabilities, and to create a narrative that justify, our position, I'm learning, only by the word, we can navigate this inherent power to forgive, hear me , as a witness , I forgive every person, even if the door is close, and ask every one to forgive me, Amen
I do too many a times😢 But I've learnt to rely on the words of Jesus that He didn't come to the earth to bring peace but a sword.... in that sense we need to choose Jesus over our toxic family members. Love them and pray for them but distance oneself for as long the toxicity exists.

I always feel so guilty not seeing my mom and my uncles or family. I feel like the worse Christian in the world.. but it’s toxic
