Delicious Prickly Pears, with a Good Italian Coffee

  • prickly pears are really delicious, especially if fresh and accompanied by a good Italian coffee. In this video we show you how to collect them, clean them from thorns and peel them. I will prepare a good Italian coffee with mocha and taste them in the beautiful Italian landscape of Sardinia.

      In Italy prickly pears are mainly known in southern Italy, but those in Sardinia are more delicious

    Thanks for sharing. In Algeria we use the same tool(the cane) to harvest the fruit. However, in the middle of the cane opening we use an outer ring of corn instead of a small rock.

      Very interesting. We use a small stone because it is more difficult to find corn in Sardinia

      Prickly pears are born in warm areas, in Sardinia we collect them and eat them fresh or make liqueurs or jams
