Pike Street in Seattle is a vibrant and historic thoroughfare that extends from the historic Pike Place Market, a hub of fresh produce, artisanal foods, and unique crafts, through the dense urban landscape of Downtown Seattle. The street has been a subject of urban development, with sections like the block between First and Second avenues has been transformed into a pedestrian zone to create a more connected and walkable downtown area.
Pine Street is a significant thoroughfare in downtown Seattle, known for its bustling retail district and as a central hub of urban activity. Stretching from the waterfront near Pier 62 to Capitol Hill, Pine Street has undergone various changes to better accommodate pedestrians and cyclists. Recently, a section of Pine Street between Melrose and 8th avenues transitioned to a one-way street, westbound only, to create a safer and more pleasant downtown experience. This change is part of a larger initiative to reconfigure Pine and Pike streets into one-way roads, enhancing the downtown area for all travelers. The street is also home to major retail landmarks, including the former Bon Marché flagship store, Westlake Center, and Nordstrom's flagship store, making it a vibrant destination for shopping and leisure. The Paramount Theatre on Pine Street is a historic venue that has been the cornerstone of the city's arts and culture scene since its opening in 1928. With a stunning interior that reflects its origins in the silent film era, the theatre now hosts a wide range of performances, from Broadway productions to concerts, comedy, and dance.

clean compared to where? not compared to Bellevue, Kirkland, Redmond or a whole lot of cities here. the only way Seattle is clean is if you are paying 3500 a month in rent.

I love Seattle. Every place has it beautiful and ugly parts as well as homelessness. It’s been 12 years since my last visit to Seattle, plan on making a trip next year. I am actually excited. I see some things have changed, not in a bad way.
