No it wasn't awsome at all, if someone followed this they would fail. The Tractor protection valve engage @20-45 PSI book answer not 20-40 thats enough to fail
It's a very detailed video for in cab inspection alot of people don't understand but inspection is very important part of this job and everybody should watch this video if have any job interview.
Great instruction. Seems like every trucking company does it differently. We we taught to do the in cab inspection first. Then Tractor and service brake test, the Applied pressure test, Low Warning Alarm test, Spring brake test. But it's helpful.
@@marieharrop4066 Na, I think it maybe different in Tx. They’re super strict here. I’m in class now they have students fail for not mentioning the tachometer rises with the speed of the motor and speedometer rides with the speed of the tractor. Hey sigmorf let’s see your video! Windshields do leak if seal is bad. Also your side windows leak if door seals are torn. So do not make fun of or criticize another’s work. Don’t watch it if it bothers you so much.
So when you do the brake test demonstration you put the truck in neutral or into a low gear? If in neutral and you empty the air tanks the truck will roll? I’m confused can you explain??
@@marieharrop4066 awesome thank you I have my CDL text coming up Dec 30th for an automatic and I was only trained on a 10 speed so I was a bit confused. I appreciate your reply back!

Forgot to mention fire extinguisher securely mounted, rated for that vehicle and trigger is secured. Also forgot 3 orange reflective triangles and spare fuses.
@@marieharrop4066 am old school back then yes fire extinguisher in cab ,tight secured & latched ..minimum 3 triangles or flares...now everything changed or what ?
I hate leaking mirrors! All jokes aside, this is an awesome video teaching in-cab pre trip.
I was ganna say the same thing ,I take what's good for me on that video
He said windows, but I thought he said mirrors too. lol

This video is really helpful 💕
Appreciate you Joe! This helps alot goin into second week.
I agree. Especially, helping guidance for those who're studying CDL Class B with an Automatic Transmission.
I think by far the cleanest and smoothest air brake rest on yt

True
Thanks for the positive comments! The state of AZ has a certain way of doing the tests. If you do not pass this part you do not move on.
Hey I think you forgot the spare fuses, 3 triangles & fire extinguisher for your in cab inspection
I do believe this is the in cab and air brakes with the automatic...... you may need to watch the pre trip video.......

Don't you have to take key with you when taking chuck off wheel?
No
I'm glad the windows aren't leaking, but you forgot to mention whether the mirrors were leaking or not.

Windows not leaking ?
Jessica Winham rain? Windows not leaking
you dont mention your windows on incab. they are part of form B pre trip.
Is this good for Illinois

You are in neutral to do an air brake test. Did you for get to chalk your wheels? If your wheels are chalked properly it will not move

Are the wheels suppose to be on choke while performing air brake test? On automatic
Geo Ben yes if you are not in a level area. It’s not a bad idea to use your chock block if not in a level area.
@@marieharrop4066 thanks
When do you take your foot off the brake?
forgot about the fully charged fire extinguisher, reflective triangles and registration & insurance

Yes watch the full pre trip and see when I put out the chalk
Can the entire outside inspection be done first. And in-cab last?
No sorry front then airbrake test you must pass that test before you can move on
@@marieharrop4066 Dmv will let you decide if you want to do outside pretrip or Air brakes and incab first.
In Texas they make you do the outside first, then inside.

Haha that’s funny don’t think so
Best one hands down
Hey we really appreciate your comment!
I think the examiner failed me for the spring brakes it didn’t pop out
You forgot at what PSI. The governor kicked in.
Thank you so much for this video ❤
Good job like it .👍
Here on CA we have to give the air gauge pressure before you start and after you finish if not you fail
