This should be the standardized video on coupling. Very well spoken and concise.
I normally don’t comment on videos I watch , but they quality of how you make it easy to understand with specs deserves a comment . 👍🏾
This makes us so happy!! Thank you for reaching out! If you have any other ideas for videos, let us know!
True
Yes he did
Dam this was so clean! I don’t understand why other instructors have hard time explaining it like you did. I memorized everything by just watching it once 😅 thank so you much!
Wow! What a compliment! It's important to teach the information and not just explain how to pass the test. Best of luck!
@@WilsonLogistics thanks! I passed my test 🥳
@@byronfuentes3904 way to go! What’s next for you?
@@byronfuentes3904 nice
@@mensminger15 already working for a small company moving containers yard to yard. In two months I should be moving explosive liquids. Honestly been jumping job to job only if it pays me more. Saving up for a house now :) thanks for asking
Bro, clear, simple and you make it look easy. Respect.
According to the TX DPS CDL handbook, the catwalk and catwalk steps are part of the coupling inspection.
New 0:16 trailer apron 1:35 skid plate 1:51 platform 2:20 sliding 5th wheel 2:42 locking pins 2:52 operated with air 3:06 Landing gear mud flap 3:23 king pin 3:39 release arm 4:41
All I could say is wow dude your impressive all these other UA-cam videos are trash your the man
You should have a podcast . Worlds better than any other UA-cam instructions clear calm and direct the editing is also outstanding.
I’m going to nail this CDL thing! ☝️😭 Thanks so much! Simple yet excellent presentation & attention to detail. Many of the pre-trip videos I’ve come across don’t have all this information about the king pin, platform or sliding 5th wheel. I really appreciate all the info & closeups so we can actually SEE what you’re talking about. Excited to get started on my new journey. Learning all I can before I even enroll so I won’t have so much on me at once. Thanks again, God’s blessings & abundance in Jesus Name 🙏
I agree totally!!!!😊😊😊❤❤❤
Amen! glad to see someone so excited to start this journey! im testing tomorrow and have been praying, Keeping God in my life has been such a blessing and have been able and blessed to learn this!
Awesome. I'm taking my State test tomorrow afternoon and am getting a quick coupling review. This was absolutely and incredibly well explained, filmed and to the point. Much appreciated 🙏🏿

This video helped me a great deal with my coupling system when I tested; it really helped me pass my test some weeks ago; I highly recommend you all to use this information for your test. Thank you all for your help and clear explanation on the whole tractor trailer so much appreciation. Thank you all!💪🏽
We're so happy to know that this was helpful to you! Let us know if you want to see anything else!
It is also gonna help me when I take my test this coming February
@@julioalmanza8090 Yes, just continue to study the whole truck to the trailer especially coupling you cannot get any wrong on your coupling due to it being extremely important part of the tractor trailer. Great luck to you.
Coupling:
spring hanger
airlines (emergency and service)
Electric line
Exchange valve
Glad hands with rubber seals
Apron
King pin .
Great video! I go to Smith and Solomon. I do my coupling pre trip next, then off to my trailer pre trip.

I’m taking my test in Boston Massachusetts at Parker’s when we do our cat walk and our emergency airlines we don’t have to remove the glad hands from the trailer that’s wired they make other states do it . And Boston is the hardest state to get your cdl fyi.
Your video’s really help me understand the wording and better explain the components needed to pass my upcoming CDL test
That's the goal!! We love hearing that and will have our fingers crossed for you!

Great tutorial. I see you're guys trucks all over Spokane. I like how they're always clean.
Thanks! Our western drivers certainly take pride in their trucks. Especially with all of the rain & snow that they get! 😅
Best pre inspection videos! Awesome

Damn, there is no better way this could have been explained. you killed it. I am taking my pre-trip test tomorrow, thank you! Sir.

Great video, great instructor
Thanks for watching! 👍
Wonderful video easy to understand and great description
Glad to help!
Great information, thank you.
Thanks for watching 👍
Thank you for your great video instruction.
I think you missed a kind of adjustment bolts for coupling system or you don't have them. You mentioned about sliding 5th wheel by air and that's why you don't need to tell?
good!
Thank you so much sir.
Of course! Anything else you would like to see a video on?
I didn’t pass my PTI ( capping), thank you for this video)💪🏻
Best of luck!
One of the best description thanks !! I’m going to use this to study for my test !!!
Awesome! Best of luck!
damn its alot to try to remember. im gonna have to watch this like 50 times or more
Practice makes perfect!
@@WilsonLogistics true that! when i go for my road test for the PTI portion should i do what you did in the video and tell the instructor what i would check and why? is that what is expected
@@official315 Yes, think of it as you teaching them. Tell them what you are doing and why.
Thank you so MUCH FROM ANGELINA
Got a question why didn’t you pre trip the rest of the trailer? Great video doe
Perfect! I hope I get coupling for me test, this is really easy. Only difference is my school mentioned the pivot point.
I think you automatically get coupling with your test and they randomly assign you a section of the truck or trailer
@@Alex-jo2oi
Correct! I passed already. Still can't find a job with no experience though...
@@thedevilhimself6557 nice I was on my way to my road test and the truck I was supposed to use started malfunctioning
@@Alex-jo2oi That happened with a lot of students at the school. It's a complete waste of time rescheduling. I was lucky my examiner was cool. Trailer parking valve would not pop out during brake test and when I was doing offset, truck died while in reverse because it looses air fast. Had to sit for a minute to build air before I could continue lol. Hopefully they trained you in multiple trucks for cases like these. Good luck
@@thedevilhimself6557 nope lol so I’m glad to know it’s not just me tho
What is the difference with gooseneck trailers? Do you have a video explaining the coupling system of a gooseneck?
Hey! We don't do any work with goose neck trailers.
Do you guy have a school? I love your videos I learn so much from it

Please let us know if you have any other questions. Thanks! www.wilsonlogistics.com/careers/training?~lsrfacebook&~lmdmessages
This is a good video but you should never go between your back truck tires and landing gear. . You have to go behind your landing gear to check your locking jaws and king pin shaft
Hi how to splaying
❤️❤️❤️
How does "cracked" differ from "broken"? I'm still learning the process, but it seems the process is being overly confused by dding in unnecessary details.
If you tractor doesnt have a sliding 5th wheel you still have to mention the 5th wheel and youre not responsible for listing the sliding or air line. That may seem obvious but i thought maybe it was worth pointing out.
❤❤
I have a question so I’m about to take my inspection test and I have a lot of people telling me different things about it some say I have to say everything for the inspection and say I only have to say some of the stuff and I’m just confused and then they give me a list to memorize and know it and then some other people in the school give me a different list to memorize with different stuff and I have no idea what to memorize anymore or what I need to know can someone help
You forgot to say your airlines and electrical cord need to be at least 6in from the catwalk with enough slack to make your turns otherwise awesome video
How much age limit learning truck driving sir
Hi! All students must be at least 21 years of age to qualify.
Forgot Catwalk steps
2:20-3:37 stop
You didn’t talk about the steps, the catwalk, enough room for turns
Ya ok pooomiti
Thanks
You're welcome!
