Looking at the Cimo's deck, I think that it is actually illegal to summon a Fiend Skull Dragon with Instant Fusion, since it requires the two materials for the fusion summon, whereas Instant Fusion does the summoning without any materials
Yep. Has to be Fusion Summoned with that material and Instant Fusion counts as a Fusion Summon so it's not legal to use it on FSD. If it just plain special summoned, Instant would be fine but it doesn't.
this comment needs more upvotes! its correct from rulings: "Because the Summon from "Instant Fusion" is a Fusion Summon, Fusion Monsters with the text "A Fusion Summon of this monster can only be conducted with the above Fusion Material Monsters." cannot be Special Summoned with "Instant Fusion".
Correct me if I am wrong but LaDs Once per Chain effect was not in the original printing/the retro pack printing and instead came as an errata later down the line because I can remember that this asshole of a card could chain itself multiple times in a single chain
Not at official tournaments it couldn't and if it could then your judges weren't listening to the official rulings or following common sense. Upper Deck set the rulings, and Konami later made it card text. It was clearly always meant to be once per chain. And why would you want it to chain to itself over and over? You know that's what would happen if it wasn't once per chain, right? It's a mandatory effect so if it can activate more than once per chain, once your opponent runs out of responses it would chain to itself until it can't anymore. In fact, reading the first text, it seems it would do so infinitely because it doesn't remove the attack and defense until after resolution meaning it would continue chaining to itself forever after your opponent stops.
@@RunicSigils Ok, found it online: It was an official Upper Deck ruling that this card only worked once per chain, so this ruling not reaching a small 12 player locals in Europe without an official judge isnt too shocking. Also I'll be honest: Konami did not know how to word cardtext back in the day to avoid confusion, just look at Last Turn and its unofficial 10+ pages google doc on how it actually works. Like yeah, it makes sense it would chain to itself if it wasnt once per chain but it could also just not, its original cardtext sucks and is ambiguous.

Gage has 3 compulse and 2 bottomless he can run to stop brio/goyo stuff along with TT, Ring, threatening roar etc stardust is the only card that cuts his options in half atm
Stardust isn't the reason he lost, Mind Control and Snatch Steal are. Whoever top decks either of those in a slow synchro format like this is going to bulldoze their opponent
Just so you know modern tengu plant builds of gk are running 1-2 descendant and rite of spirit to supplement that. If yall want any free wins when you hit tengu plant format lmk ;)
I can't remember if this was just Gage but I thought I remembered one of you getting a whole bunch of return from the different dimensions from pity packs
I feel like the banning should be every 5 consecutive wins because right now there is really not an advantage to Cimo for winning like I feel that at some point they might just start banning archetype specific cards not because they're too good but just to ban something like I feel if someone is in a 5 win streak they should lose a card
Snatch Steal and Mind Control in a format where they've banned the only real piece of negation makes for some sacktastic top decks. Gage basically has to hit cards like Mind Control and Snatch Steal out of their format to not auto-lose to them in the synchro era.

this comment needs more upvotes! its correct from rulings: "Because the Summon from "Instant Fusion" is a Fusion Summon, Fusion Monsters with the text "A Fusion Summon of this monster can only be conducted with the above Fusion Material Monsters." cannot be Special Summoned with "Instant Fusion".
Wow, that was some horrible luck...
And we crap on gage for bls
man, i remember going to target and specifically buying only these packs with my sister since kaiba was the goat to us
There's two kinds of people in the world.
Pulls dragon master knight
Cimo: yo this works for nekroz
Gage: yo this works for dogmatika
"I'm 100 off" because you forgot to bring back the Treeborn Frog 🤣
MBT is going to laugh his ass off after the redoer.
Does gage not have battle fader or gorz? When I ran frognarchs those always made the list.
Fun Fact about L.A.D, if you play reverse trap the be for activating L.A.D it's loss 800 to negate turns into a gain 800 to negate
Gage's mic is my favorite co-host of Progression
Gaaaaaaaaaaaaageeeeee. Long have we awaited for the return of the king.
Nvm he lost. C'mon, Gah Geh.
How could you even possibly argue that Hampster wasn’t the take there? He plays ryko is litterally everything and in his best deck he plays 3 lvl 4 tuners that instantly make hampster into a stardust
Its dark crisis episode in terms of pulls all over again for cimoo
I remember MBT saying at Cimooo "i know you're good at draining LADDs" which i interpreted as a joke to say "you're good at blowing guys" so maybe cimooo misunderstood the joke ahahah
I think he got the joke, mbt was making a double entendre because cimo does always have the out to ladd
well, MBT can turn anything into an innuendo, so you were probably right
@@MercenaryPen too bad he missed the one a couple episodes back.
He loves the -ussy modifier so much and yet when mispronouncing Northwemko doesn't call it Northmanko? It's just sad.
Game 1 14:48
Game 2 25:30
Game 3 31:26
Cimo didn't need to roast Gage so hard!
not killing the vanity's fiend with book twice was a mistake probably
I really wonder how many day cimo was training under that waterfall
Cimoo with his protagonist powers at work once again
I'm going to say it: Prog 2 is better tha Prog 1. Changing the deck every episode makes it so much more entertaining than Blackwings for 86 weeks straight
Agreed
I mean Gage also took Blackwings out back with that ban 2 weeks ago. Definitely helps the variety.
Currently it is, yes. But going through DM-GX era felt honestly painful this time, way more than for Prog 1. 5Ds era (with Cimo coming back from his well-deserved honeymoon) is when Prog 2 really started getting cool again.
Twice in game two Cimo had the out to Vanities Fiend. Two separate times, you should have booked vanity and just smacked over it. Sometimes you just have to _go for it_ man.
Stardust is the best ban for gage here right? because then all his destroy effects are back online to cleanup other threats like goyo and there's no good counter to his dark dusk strat.
Gage has his own copy of Stardust Dragon. He's probably not going to ban one of his own cards.
A reroll on this pack really sucks but cimo had 7 so it's fine
the three-eyed bandit strikes again! 25:00
In order to make redoer tickets better, you should get the choice to keep the original opening.
Cimo: Do you want me to "Brio" or "DAD" your tomato?
Gage: I don't want you to do either.
Cimo: ok,.I won't. HOWEVER....how about a raigeki?
5:45 shining victories the box You are talking about crystal wind synchro dragon
Just so you know modern tengu plant builds of gk are running 1-2 descendant and rite of spirit to supplement that. If yall want any free wins when you hit tengu plant format lmk ;)
Bro what'd Gage do (ignore Magical Hats) to get that Fienf Sanctuary joke 💀
Congrats on being a dad! 🎉
I can't remember if this was just Gage but I thought I remembered one of you getting a whole bunch of return from the different dimensions from pity packs
HOW HOWWWW does Cimo have this kinda of lucky drawing power.
man, redoing back those blue-eyes was painful, they're at least able to do something later on than what you got the second time around.
Cimo be like : oh no I didn't get a card in da pull me unlucky
Cimo G1 and G3 : just topdeck every time he needed
As usual
Cimo shouldn't have re-rolled at all, Dragon Master Knight is a 5k attack card for Dogmatika Punishment down the line, but also, 12 stars.
6:50 SCREAMING
13:38 Cimo almost says because I got to throw so gage doesn't get a banning
Honestly the card that does work is book of moon, if it was my ban, I would ban book. Cimmoo uses it as a staple nearly every episode.
I think there's a deep draw dandy doppel variant using white stone and whatnot
Doesnt rescue cat negate the effects of what it summons? Or did the pre-errata not negate?
Pre errata doesn’t negate.
Alright happy Monday gamers let’s see what happens today, I imagine Gage will win one game and Cimo will win 2 0:49
He really violated Gage that 3rd game, huh? Ouch 😂😂😂
I feel like the banning should be every 5 consecutive wins because right now there is really not an advantage to Cimo for winning like I feel that at some point they might just start banning archetype specific cards not because they're too good but just to ban something like I feel if someone is in a 5 win streak they should lose a card
Dayumm, those redoer tickets are cursed lmao
Snatch Steal and Mind Control in a format where they've banned the only real piece of negation makes for some sacktastic top decks.
Gage basically has to hit cards like Mind Control and Snatch Steal out of their format to not auto-lose to them in the synchro era.
who out here tryin to be a fiend getting into Gage's fiend sanctuary
Another great one. Some weird plays here and there, but overall quite an enjoyable episode
Gage became Cimoooo in game 2, absorbing his protagonist draw powers witht he effect of Thousand Eyes Restrict.
a rare occasion where cimo gets punished
“I’m so upset with that” gage…. Funnier then any damn swearing tirade you could have went on
Wait why didn't Gage just tribute set Dark Dust Spirit in game 1, its effect procs on flip so it'd keep him alive if Cimo did anything while also keeping the Treeborn chump blocker up.
Does anyone know if Gage did bring some girls in to his fiend sanctuary?
The Cimo luck stat is insane.
Why did gage flip up vanity’s fiend when it was booked on the same turn??? Game 2
I actually predicted Cimooo would win
Big ups for dual posting on banlist day
