  • Airing down and up at the trailhead takes time. I was tired of wasting all that time, so I upgraded my Jeep Gladiator's air compressor setup to cut my time messing with tire pressure in half. Airing down takes less than 10 minutes, and that includes the time to get set up. Airing up my 35" tires from ~15 psi takes maybe 15 minutes, again, including getting the hoses out. It used to take me 20 minutes to air down with a tire deflator and up to 45 minutes to air up with a single ARB compressor.
Also, I don't think any of these products on their own are overpriced. For what each of them does, I have no complaints. But when everything is put together, yea, it's expensive.
