Thank you for the plans. Free is certainly not something I see on these how to channels very often if ever. I’ll pray the good Lord rewards you with His many graces for your act of kindness. Blessings my friend!
as someone who has been working with wood, metal and solid surface for decades, at a very high level, i will tell you that THIS is the kind of guy you want to be learning from and finding inspiration from. He loves it. Now, where this young man, and every other young man and novice need to improve, is in SLOWING DOWN and BEING RIDICULOUSLY CAREFUL. Of course, the guys who taught me were commonly missing multiple finger digits and had other stories, as do I, now. Im saying, i would hire this guy in a second and i love his passion for the craft.
@@WhosTheVoss I can tell that you do have the safety mindset and it will get better as you age. You..uh...SEE stuff, over the years.. you know. Keep ripping!
I was looking for this but not actively looking for this. I have a few hobbies Im picking up prepping for retirement. Im all about passing on knowledge. Thanks. And THEN.... I see "free plans" and im thinking some technical drawing with proper fonts and spacing... and see yours.... and have to say great job. Again hobby here so I feel pressured when I see these "plans" that seem to be made by an architect. Earned my subscription right there. Thanks!
I just took a peek at your plans. Ha Ha. Not only are you a fellow redhead (well I used to be. I'm old & white now 😅) But your plans look just like mine. ❤it. I look forward to more videos. Keep up the good work. 😊
🤣 nice! Id love to be able to navigate the sketchup app for better plans but its a lot to learn and hand drawing is faster lol. Thanks for the comment!
Just found your channel and I have made these trees last year. Didn't sell many (locally) but I wanted to say great channel and awesome instructions on what to Dom also we have the exact same miter saw. Weird...... Mine makes such a mess..... Even with a dedicated dust extraction system (rockler). I will subscribe. Thank you.
Im glad you found my channel too! In a few weeks Im building a super vacuum box for my miter saw that fits around the fence to eliminate the saw dust ;)
You can use any thickness of wood, just keep in mind that these are 1/2" thick, so you might have to alter the plans so they fit together correctly. I dont have the measurements for the necklace tree but heres a printable PDF of the little guy :) docdro.id/8AILkBK
Hey :) sorry, I was switching plan websites and the Christmas stuff got shuffled around, the plans arnt super great but they get the job done :) thanks buddy freeimage.host/i/dCFH2F2
Quick question. What are the “little slivers” called that you referenced at the end of the video? I’ve not found any poplar or oak that cheap at the big box stores.
I would guess 11 trees I guessed correctly! In the upcoming nesting tree video will you also be showing how to build or providing a drawing for the jig?
It has the plans for the jig, and Ill do a walk through as to how to set it up, its pretty simple to throw together, anddd makes building these trees a breeze
This is probably really simple, but can you explain how you painted the edges? I LOVE that look. Did you tape & spray paint? Carefully use a brush? Paint before or after assembly? thanks! Love your channel!
I used a paint brush and the little paints you can get at Walmart, touch the bristles in the center and drag them off the side. Leaves a clean edge of paint. I paint them after assembly/sanding. :)
Thanks for the comment! I do have a video for the jig, free plans and build for it can be found here: ua-cam.com/video/ho3FvQYpg3E/v-deo.htmlsi=DTKT5frEYayzmOPt Thanks buddy!
Easy $7-10 each for these, i have another tree video where I build a few different sizes, those plans plus the cost of this wood would turn a great profit :)

Cost times two is general rule, however, these cost around 50 cents each. Lol, the cedar ones from the picket I would say maybe $7-$10 each, the nicer poplar/oak ones that I stain and paint are $40 for the set of three. Check around and see if anyone has them for sale, or Etsy is an okay place to check: just because they are listed at a certain price doesnt mean they are selling any :P Good luck!! :D

They are 1/2" thick or 3/4" thick 2" wide boards that you can usually buy in 2' and 4' lengths at the box stores :)
I would guess 11 trees

Where can I find the tape measure you have on your right side of your miter saw my didn’t come with one any help would be appreciated thank you bill
Mine came with the saw, but they fo make a 3m sticky tape measure you can add to your saws or workbench top
Would like to see how you made the little tree that you have around you neck.
I dont have the measurements but heres a printable PDF of the little guy :)

I'll add it into one of the Christmas videos I make this year :)
Thanks!
No, THANK YOU! :)
How much do you usually get for these in your area?
The cedar trees are $5, sanded and unfinished. Otherwise I sell the nesting trees made from oak or walnut :)
@@WhosTheVoss Thanks. I really appreciate your DIY videos and free plans.
👍💯👍💯👍💯
🤣🤷🥡😘👍🌮 that was the last 5 emojis ive used, we get chinese and mexican a lot lol thanks for the comment!!
Are these plans still available? The link doesn’t seem to be working.
Hey :) sorry, I was switching plan websites and the Christmas stuff got shuffled around, the plans arnt super great but they get the job done :) thanks buddy freeimage.host/i/dCFH2F2
Can you paint cedar pickets?
Sure can. I would lightly sand them with some 60 grit sandpaper so the boards arnt so rough. It will make the final product not as rough
Where can i find the plans!? The link doesn’t work

How much?? Sell them for $5 ?
These sell for $7-10 easily, easpecially if they are sanded, maybe add a simple clear coat :)
