As an Astros fan I definitely agree with you, Randy wasn’t being overly celebrating he didn’t jump on the base like The Rangers like to do… and Randy was definitely very calm about it which is cool, unlike Garcia last year.
The reason he threw at him was because at the first three pitches he stepped out everytime and they were all balls, then he hit it on an 3-0 count. Not saying it’s a reason for the pitcher to do it, but it is more context
There is more to this. Randy stepped out of the box 3 times in a row as the ball was thrown before he hit a cookie after ball 3. Maybe this distracted the pitcher leading to the 3 balls. Maybe Randy had been expecting an inside pitch or a beenball and stepped out. Hard to say. But Randy masterfully strategized that sequence including the beanball that caught him on the elbow pad. He's not really crowding the plate so it's his own fault he pitched inside. He has to throw like 2 feet off the plate in order to hit him. Barry Bonds used to stand practically on the plate. He would have taken this guy yard every pitch.
Best way to get them back is not to hit him and give him 1st base. Strike him out and celebrate the same way with a dance. I was a pitcher and I never hit anyone on purpose.

The pitcher probably saw Arozarena stepping out of the box 3 pitches in a row (I've never seen that before in my life) and then full swing on the 3-0 as disrespectful. Whether that makes plunking him right or wrong, idk. But I feel like that adds context to why the pitcher did it.
A lot of those calls come from the manager. If he feels like you are disrespecting his team, he will tell you to pitch him tight or to hit him intentionally. Randy didn't show any disrespect, though. Bad management.
The Rangers can stay at home and look at their World Series champions rings and the Mariners have how many rings? Oh that’s right, they are the only team to never have even been to a World Series.

nah im a pitcher and if i give up a big homerun, even if theyre shit talking me particularly, they won that ab and they deserve to take any trot they want because i trust my stuff and im gonna get you back next ab AND im gonna point at the bench.
Maybe you're too young to know this, but 40, 50 or more years ago that pitcher would have aimed at the batter's head. Dog-dancing, doing your shuffle or even wiggling was grounds for getting beamed, why? Because it was a sign of total disrespect towards the losing team back then, hence not permitted at all. Modern Baseball is way different than it used to be, even when talking about those unwritten field rules which players, coaches and managers lived by in the past.
The celebration and trot were fine. No issue with that. He didn’t stare the pitcher down. Didn’t talk shit to the opponents dugout. What I think the rangers didn’t like was what Randy did during the previous 3 pitches that was skipped on this video. Not a fan of hitters stepping out of the batters box before the pitch even gets to the plate. Don’t take any pitches off. Respect to Randy though for keeping his club calm
IMO the score matters. There is something called excessive celebration. For example bat flipping and celebrating if you hit a bomb in a blow out off a position player. If you are winning by 5 runs or more and you hit a tank, bat flip and all that is fine but hurry the trot up a bit. That’s all I’m saying
What made this better is he stepped out mid pitch for the first 3 balls. That was some disrespect. But if you're the pitcher, should've thrown strikes or gotten him out. Would rather every sport allow athletes to celebrate big plays than forced to be robotic. And these players should get them back by playing good instead. Throwing at them is losing twice lmao.
Interesting that you leave the dance that came before the home run out. You had a narrative you wanted to take, but watch the batter step out as the pitcher was delivering the ball 3 times in a row before the hit. Classless batter, despite the taking the HBP in the next at bat... Hope the hitter remembers that he's batting .222, meaning he loses more than 3 out of 4 times, where the the pitchers opponent average is .232, meaning he wins more than 3 out of 4 times. If you're gonna comment, comment on the full story, not just the story you want to make up.
I'm a Rangers fan. I agree that him getting beaned over hitting a home run is weak and lame. However, (and I'm not sure if you were saying this) I will say that I can think of situations when I would condone the bean. For context, I was never a pitcher. But say if a dude from the other team cleats an infielder's knees or blatantly tries to cheat (like that Astro that hit the 1B's glove a couple years ago), that is worthy imo. Again, not that it warrants any action (like a hbp), but aren't excessive celebrations kinda lame too. Not as weak as getting butthurt over a good play, but still. I guess I just miss the old school professionals.
@@gamefacesports6704 bro I don’t know you, but I played in college and overseas along with many guys in the league today. That for sure played a part in why he got hit.
Should have shown the previous pitches. The guy owned the pitcher & the whole at bat. Him getting here shows how butt hurt they were & they lost some respect there.
I believe the hard feelings were more about the whole at bat. If you watch the whole at bat, the 1st 3 pitches he stepped out of the box in the middle of the delivery. 3 straight balls. He was temping them to throw one down the middle. They did and it got nuked. Really he tricked them into giving him a fat pitch. I am guessing that is was the bean ball was for.
Yup this shit has no place in baseball. Randy deserved to celebrate cuz he predicted 3straight outside sliders right before that dinger. Pitcher screwed up already but then he throws a get me over fastball with no runners on …….wtf? Beam ball after is yea …Weak, a great way to say it btw, Weak as weak can be

Randy is the best. I love watching him play.
Please read the comments below as I addressed this multiple times.
Why did you leave out the 3 pitches prior that he kept stepping out on
Because that’s not why this happened and I felt had no affect on any of this. And if it did, that’s even crazier lol
@@gamefacesports6704 bro I don’t know you, but I played in college and overseas along with many guys in the league today. That for sure played a part in why he got hit.
100% why he got hit!!
Not i clouding the context of stepping out of the box for the three pitches before that is wild
that makes the pitcher and catcher look worse lmao
Why can't the guy just run around the bases without glorifying himself.
My feelings are hurt too. No particular reason, but they are
The hit batter should go to 2nd base. Unless the batter is hanging over the plate.
This the same at bat he stepped out on three pitches in a row then smashed the bomb.
U should have shown first 3 pitches. He step out of box before guy even threw pitch. He pimped the fuck out of the whole AB
Yup this shit has no place in baseball. Randy deserved to celebrate cuz he predicted 3straight outside sliders right before that dinger. Pitcher screwed up already but then he throws a get me over fastball with no runners on …….wtf? Beam ball after is yea …Weak, a great way to say it btw, Weak as weak can be
Yea agree with you, pitchers are a bunch of babies. Don't throw a hanger and give up a homer.
Jonah heim is just mad that he’s hitting .213 with 55 RBI’s (he had like 50 going into the all star break)😂
Seattle team looks like a street gang. 0 % professional. Everyone always butt hurt. The pitcher throws the next one at the batter because it teaches the player to act like a professional and not a little leaguer who got his first home run.
Rangers are really angry because they were last year’s World Series champs. What happened this year , boys?
Jonah Heim got his labia in a twist
Worth noting, that home run solidified Randy's fourth consecutive 20/20 season. Tell me that's not worth celebrating!
Rangers and Astros both play dirty pool. It’s disgusting.
Randy knew it was coming : HBP…. I suppose it could have been a lot worst.
