Great job! Why you didn't post more about your machine? I'm very curious about its performance. And also, if you shared the code somewhere. I have lots of friends in Brazil who would like to make the same in similar machines. I think this is a white label and in Brazil they have a very similar configuration in Philco / Britania, I mean, small single boiler, 51mm, without OPV.
@@justinbouchard It's bad because I will also need to rewrite the code for STM. Can i download your source code somewhere and what exactly did you change in the source code except for the valve operation?
@@justinbouchard I'm going to put a water preheater in front of the boiler if interested, I can share the result later. If I build a project =) I am upgrading delongi ec610. I liked that she has a big body.
Very interested in any of your files if you are sharing! I have been following your videos and am attempting to modify my stilosa now. Were you able to find lead free fittings at your local store? I am struggling to find any. There is some gaggia fittings online but they seem a bit pricy for a simple t fitting@@justinbouchard
are you using the gaggiuino stuff? I ended up getting fittings from aliexpress as well as hose, you'll probably also want to order some extra o-rings for where the stock connectors go into the boiler and pump. i have changed a lot of things. i'm using a 2.8" screen and have my machine wired to be touch screen brew and steam. there is almost too much for me too kind of explain, i have a plan to to a concise video about everything in the new year. definitely can share all the files needed to have the software and u/i the way i have it. www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004639155885.html?spm=a2g0o.order_detail.order_detail_item.3.28f5f19cBiglGb this is the hose i ordered, id 3mmx4, the stock line is 4mm outer diameter(OD). so same thing for the other fittings you need such as the connector for the pressure sensor, it needs to be 4mm OD press-release connector or quick connector whatever you wanna call them. drilling and tapping a hole in the boiler wasn't easy either just to throw that out there @@Shiggydiggy99
Well sir, I've got several questions, because you've inspired me to mod the shit out of my delonghi dedica. Now all I have done is change the opv for a membrane regulator/opv combo + manometer, and I was thinking of adding a pid or thermometer for further tinkering, but this is the very thing that I want. How I can ask you questions more directly?
Hi!!! Super happy to hear my video and work inspired you :) You can get ahold of me here xanadulives@gmail.com However I'm going to say that I don't have a dedica, haven't ever seen one in person or used one. I also think that a temperature controller won't really give you any benefit adding it to a dedica. In my thoughts I fee like there isn't really much you could do in order to get much more precise temperatures from that machine. It doesn't really have a boiler or any substantial volume of water it keeps hot. So I'm pretty sure that you wouldn't get any benefit from modding that machine for temperature control. The ECP models are for sure better candidates for a complete say overhaul for modifications. Tom's Coffee Corner has lots of videos on the decida and I think if you watched some of those you would find a similar thought of mine in regards to it's temperature stability, or the need to modify it's temperature stability.
@@justinbouchard I understand as it is a thermocoil machine it won't benefit as much or at all from this kind of modification, but I like the idea of seeing my temperature brew, or even control pressure of the ulka pump (I believe that the og gaggiuino can control brew pressure), also, the dedica can control it's temperature to prefixed amounts, but I have no idea what are these. Finally, there are some thermocoil coffee machines that have pid control into them, like the ascano ones. So mostly is for knowing full well the capability of the machine and because there is nothing to lose. I'll email you! (and yes, the manometer mod that I did was thanks to Tom's coffee corner)c
@@Oneirophrenian ok yeah that legit all makes sense!!! And yes um quite convinced you can put a gaggiuino on a dedicated and someone has a video of it already actually!!! I would really love to know how it goes for you!!! And yes I'm happy to help if you have questions :)

Thanks for making this!
You're welcome:)
Have you changed anything in the source code?
This coffee maker does not have a 3 way valve.
I've changed tons in the code. And yes this machine does not have a 3 way valve.
Neither do lever machines.
@@justinbouchard This is bad, but did you collect on arduino? I collect on stm. Do you have any information about what you changed in the code?
what is bad lmfao?
you're telling me what I've done is bad and you want my help?? @@sergeykh9544
