    Incredibly fine work! This knife is definitely one hefty beast, but some people like the feel of a big balisong. Very smart to normalize the steel of the files first to make machining faster and easier on your tools, then quench and temper afterward. A lot of people that use hardened tools for material just grind it as-is and don't do any heat treatment which gives no control of the steel hardness or toughness in the end product, and it will burn through drill and mill bits and belts/disks. Awesome job!

  • @PHeMoX
    @PHeMoX 3 роки тому

    Really the only thing that seemed slightly off were the pins. Most people hammer those in (on a super hard surface) so they will dent on the bottom and top to keep the pieces in place without ever falling out the hole and then cut them later if need be. No need to glue stuff that way. But regardless, the bali looks cool. Have to check out your v2 now!

    • @zombiejoe13
      @zombiejoe13  3 роки тому

      I’ve never been a fan of peened pins, I usually do press fit pins epoxied and ground flush on all of my knives.

    • @zombiejoe13
