- A woman that Doug had a one night stand with suddenly has a tonic-clonic seizure as he is driving her home and rushes her into the ER.
Requested by Gabbriel Newton.
From "Last Call" (Season 3 Episode 4)
First broadcast October 17th, 1996 - Розваги
He was able to answer every question about the woman except 'whats her name?' Gotta love Doug
It’s hard to believe he became a heartthrob. If he didn’t look like George Clooney the audience wouldn’t forgive a man who didn’t want her to be sick in his flashy car and forget the name of his one night stand
@@c17sam90 I think the car was hers, but other than that I 100% agree!
@@c17sam90 Women love that crap.
@@c17sam90I'm sorry what moral judgement are we making about this woman's name not being known? Did she want him to know?
You people are fucking weird. You do t need to k ow someone's name to fuck hair brains out lol.
@@jeremybelcher1727 It was definitely her car. Since she didn't want to leave her car at his place so Doug agreed to drive her home in her car. I assume he probably would've taken the L train back to his place.
I love how gently Doug places her on the gurney.
no time to mess around
🤣🤣🤣🤣
He really doesnt wanna know her name I guess
My thoughts too. If she didn't have a neurological problem before she sure does now ;P
@@Elisheval
Epilepsy will do that. He's going to find her medic alert bracelet and other stuff. They went out drinking that's probably why he didn't remember her name. I give him credit he drove her back to her place in her car. He could have just let her drive home and she would have been an mva stat.
Give him his props - he owns his mistakes and steps up to take care of the situation. If only he learned a few of these lessons a little earlier...
In settings that are very maligned people who think they have a reputation to keep will cut out corners and do something really stupid. Like you said, he owns his mistakes.
This was his wake up call. He changed after this...
what was the mistake he made?
@@failtolawl
He had a one night stand with a woman he didn't know and didn't want to know. But once he had done that - he didn't ditch her, he stood up when she was drunk, and was driving her home. And when she was in trouble, he took her to the ER where he worked, and gave all the information he had on her to his coworkers, including one he was in love with, without apology (and of course they all knew she was a one night stand) and with stood by her to help her recover. In his case, it's hard to know how much was chivalry, how much was his being an ER doctor, and how much was just because in the end - he was a good man.
He didn't make any mistakes.
And remember he got home that night, and had messages from 4 different women on his answering machine. He was living a wild life
Well, he *does* look like George Clooney.
@@liamroberts1458 🤣🤣🤣
The way he slammed her head down on the table you'd think doug was trying to cause blunt force trauma
Carol's questions to Doug about where he found her was more for her and not so much medical reasons lol
The Moment Where Doug finally learned the error of his ways
As good as early ER was, the best episodes were always the Doug-centric ones... This and ‘Hell or High Water’ were brilliant
Indeed. I'll never forget the time he confronted Benton on the roof ... or his monologue to the investigator right before he left. Damn good television.
His scenes with Mark Greene were memorable whether with theme playing basketball together or even his times where would get in trouble by Mark after he became Dougs boss. When Mark was attacked and seeing Doug react to his best friends attack was a good episode.
I can't co-sign. Love's Labor Lost was one of the best hours of TV ever, and that was centered around Mark. The Long Way Around was incredible, that was centered around Carol. Susan and Mark in Union Station. Carol and Shep in "The Healers." Jeanie's strength when she was being outed for having HIV. I think the strength of this show early on was that everyone had strong moments...that said, Doug's episodes were also great.
@@aaronburgin1442 That’s a very valid point - imo Love Labor’s Lost is ER’s best ever episode. Just feel as though Doug had a few more individual stand-out episodes than the others did. Still, every episode you mentioned is superb! What a show ER was =)

Doug Ross is the definition of a flawed hero
This is the episode that changed everything to him, after this you can clearly see his growth and how this made him be ready to be with Carol.
Seizure girl rocked that role. And twitched, spasmed, and convulsed it to.
Yeah she did …..that was Lisa Darr and it was so believable - right down to the frothing at the mouth which is what happens when people have tonic clonic seizures- they spit or drool cuz they can’t control their saliva….that’s why if they were laying down and they were shaking…you’d turn their head to the side 🥺
*too*
Not judging (great channel:), but I would have loved to also see when Carol confronts him later in the episode "I didn't know she had that conditio--" "---YOU DIDNT EVEN KNOW HER!"
She has no right to judge she didn’t know the girl either
Perhaps the bigger point was he should not have been having a one night stand with someone he didn't know.
Nobody don’t know her and Doug doesn’t have to know her. Carol don’t know her she don’t anything about what happened. Whatever Doug does is nobody’s business
I would agree it is Doug's business. It's also an interesting point about Doug and Carol. My interpretation was she confronted him foremost as a friend who didn't want to see him keep making such mistakes. A good fulcrum for the rights and responsibilities argument. Personally I would rather Doug be dating Carol and not sleeping around since he was above such mundane things.
@@GreenRiver72 That's the point of a one night stand: You don't the person. If you knew them, it wouldn't be a one night stand.
Thank u so much for uploading my request!
This woman was a wreck waiting to happen. Between her high alcohol level, and the motion of the car, and that dreadful music, the combination sent her over the top.
Coke, too, it turns out.
"Where did you find her, Doug?"
"My house!"
"What's her name?"
"I don't know!"
Relatable!!!
Great episode. You should upload the follow up scene with her sister.
Whose sister?
@@sweetlife031 The one night stand's. There's a scene where she confronts Doug.
Was the confrontation with the sister in the subsequent episode or this same episode?
@@sweetlife031 Same episode.
The acting of rhar seizure was incredibly done, it felt so real! Lisa Darr did fantastic- and they even had the frothing was right on point too; good how they showed up that tonic clonic seizures/ shaking, convulsions can cause the victim to choke on their saliva which is why If she’d been laying down as opposed to sitting….you’d turn her head to the side so she wouldn’t choke 🥺
I honestly don’t think she passed away directly from the seizure - it was a cold overdose and the seizure just added fuel to the fire 🥲
The lady's man and the strays you do know how to pick them Doug lol
I guess Doug isn’t used to carrying adult patients
can I make a request for you to add captions please?
I would like to make a request, please:
Could you maybe upload the time sam and her son are kidnapped by her ex?
Btw, great channel- got a new subscriber:)
No
Happy birthday george from italian boy live in rome and I m fan of er
Did this woman recover?
No she dies
When Doug gets back to his apartment he sees her watch and her medical ID bracelet which shows she is epileptic.
This actually made Doug change his ways and get serious about Carol.
@@TommyRibs so true. He erased all the voice messages on his machine from the ladies he’d met. Tough scene when her sister showed to claim the body and I.d. her. Doug told her sister a friend brought her in. He didn’t tell her it was him. She was epileptic and she knew shouldn’t have been drinking. Hathaway always there for Ross. They met up at later at the L. Doug told her it was her sister who came by and that Nadine the lady was eplileptic. Doug said he didn’t know she was.. Hathaway told him he didn’t know Nadine at all.
Boom mic visible at 3:49 in the window
I hate Doug in this episode. He clearly looks down on the woman for being drunk but conveniently forgets that he's the one that took her home despite her clearly being incapacitated
I don't think he looked down on her for being drunk. He didn't want to confront in the daylight what he is ok doing in the dark. He was uncomfortable and impatient that she was still there in his place and he had to deal with her. She was supposed to vanish in the night.
she likely had an aura or warning but she did not know it nor did Doug at 1:23 she smells smoke seems to ask about a fire then. she is seen holding her head at 1:56 tonic phase 2:00- 2:16
Where's the fire means what's the rush and not meant to be literal.
Today george 63 years
Can you please upload full episodes? Mark's death, loves labor lost, the episodes where Carter and Covach are in Africa,Carters kidney surgery ,Carter and Benton episodes, Abby and Luka please...

What’s the liquid they were pouring on her?
Normal Saline. It's room temperature but they are trying to lower her core temperature.

Great casting, great acting, but the movie itself was sad and depressing to me.
What happened to the women after? Did she make it or what?

@@l.a.3479 lol okay thanks??
Tonic clonic can be a bitch I had those for 16 yrs

So like.. don’t people think they’re unnecessarily mean to Doug in this clip? Haha
It's immature and irresponsible of him, especially as a physician, to engage in this sort of wild lifestyle.
I don't know why you think it's funny.
@@l.a.3479 He had drinks with a lady and they slept together, what’s so wild about the lifestyle? Sounds pretty straightforward and average to me
@@l.a.3479 That's BS.
@@andrewgundy3045 Umm, hello, he's taking advantage of a woman who's drunk! If that's not irresponsible and slimy of him, I don't know what is!
ER was better without the George Clooney character. (Not a knock on Clooney who is a fine actor.)
Not really. Was great with him and original cast.
I stopped watching when Carter left.
No it wasn’t.
Totally disagree
Eh, I think they did a good job replacing him, but he was still missed.
