Seizures are incredibly scary. I suffered from them for years before I was rushed to the ER in winter 2010 and found out I had 3 benign tumours in my brain. I had to go through a ton of tests including repeated MRIs, a sleep deprived EEG, an 11 day in-patient study at Toronto Western Hospital and neuropsych testing before I could see the neurosurgeon and be approved for surgery. 2 weeks after that appointment I had brain surgery to remove the 2 tumours that were causing the problems. My brother suffered seizure disorder his whole life, but I never saw one until a Thanksgiving in the 1990s, during the period when _ER_ was airing. Surreal to be sitting in the waiting room of an ER, *_watching_* _ER_ , then have some patient on the show start experiencing a seizure while you wait to find out the results of your brother's seizure.
