- Welcome back to Anderson Bluu's Art Channel! Today we're focusing on a common misconception in the art world - blending with Posca markers. The video "Never Blend Your Posca Markers This Way" will give you invaluable tips and insights into how to best use and care for your Posca markers.
Posca pens, beloved by artists worldwide, offer vibrant 'color' and versatility, enabling 'drawing', 'painting', and 'illustration' across a variety of mediums. However, despite their popularity, there is often confusion about how to blend Posca markers correctly. It's easy to fall into habits that may not give you the results you want, so today, we're going to debunk those myths.
Anderson Bluu, a 'UA-cam artist', will guide you through the do's and don'ts of blending Posca markers, sharing expert 'tutorial' tips that have been gathered over years of 'art' creation. This video serves as an 'art supplies' guide on the 'how to' of blending with Posca markers, taking your 'drawing' and 'illustration' skills to the next level.
You'll learn 'how to draw' with 'uni posca' markers, and create a watercolor effect using Posca 'paint pens'. A big focus will be on 'how to customize shoes' with these markers, featuring 'custom shoes' and techniques using 'angelus direct' products to enhance your 'diy' project.
Inspired by 'youtube artist' Kasey Golden, Anderson will delve into the details of using a 'posca pen' correctly. Alongside 'posca markers' and the 'posca marker' family, he'll introduce other 'art supplies', such as the 'waterbrush', 'aquash', 'pentel', and 'artjournal' tools from 'jetpens', all popular in 'japanese art'.
Discover the techniques of 'watercolor art' with 'watercolor pencil', 'fountain pen ink', 'watercolor brush pen', and 'brush pen'. These tools, when used correctly, can elevate your Posca marker experience, blending colors smoothly and effectively.
Drawing inspiration from the colorful 'surf art' scene, this video will also demonstrate how the 'paint pen' and 'paint markers' can be used on different surfaces, redefining the traditional boundaries of 'art' creation.
This 'tutorial' video isn't just about what to avoid - it's a celebration of what Posca markers can do when used to their fullest potential. Tune in to learn, grow, and become an even better artist with your Posca markers.

just remember that the first method is still a great way to cell-shade using poscas, it’s just not good for gradients! :)

Yea I was thinking the first looked good already (:
When they over lap it makes a cool shadow that is actually used in art!
Edit: mom I’m like semi famous
True its even cooler if you do it in cartoons
i think thats why he showed it on bart
semi famous? net even 0.1%

Blending posca is mot worth it.
wait, what? posca's only come in so many colors, so are only for base coats or cartoony drawings. blending when wet will get the colors all over and mess up the nibs. I mean, you can get this of, but it wastes paint and takes a long time if you remove the nib.
That’s what I’m thinking..looks good on your project but gets different colored paint all over your posca markers and nobody wants that.
So I don't think
A4 sheets are meant for acrylic markers so if you know can you pls tell me 🐽
Thanks @AndersonBluu I needed that I've been wondering how to blend them the right way!! ❤😊
You’re welcome. I’m happy the video was helpful 👌🏾
you didn’t fucking tag him, why the hell would you put his name
I don’t blend them when they are wet bc the colors mix on the tip of them
I find alcohol markers blend acrylic paint AMAZINGLY well! I used the colourless blender in one of my paintings and it worked a treat!
Thats good to know. I'll check out the markers.
Because posca is acrylic paint
i don't even have posca markers 💀
Why are you here then
@@Kryptic1tiktok idk it randomly came into my recommendations cuz I'm an artist and I mostly search art stuff soo yeah
Me too lol
@@Kryptic1tiktokIt's not like we searched for it
My mom wants to buy me some.
First tip is helpful but it's actually a pretty good technique for shading
SONIC IN THE INTRO LOOK SO GOOD😭😭😭
Yeah fr
Fax
Depends how u wanna blend it if u want that cartoony type look just overlap with with a darker color u don’t have to make it super detailed it looks good either way
finally, a mainstream artist using poscas with common sense
I’ll keep this in mind. Thank u😌👏🏼✨
Nobody is going to talk about Bart that was good
Hahaha thank you
Yeah he is correct but gradients are never used only used for shading dark object to light where the difference can either be quick where shading matters little and long where it does matter alot
Verry Cool Drawing 😎
✨PASCA✨Markers
This is fantastic
Guys, please don’t blend posca markers
While it can be fine if done correctly, blending them can get the paint to soak into a different marker, ruining it
If the paint is still wet when you blend your marker will have a different color on it like if I mixed yellow and red together while wet the yellow would have red smudges and vice versa
The overlap is a stylistic choice
Last time I tried to blend Poscas it got really dirty
"Never blend posca markers when its dry, do it when its wet" but the nib?
But wont the red paint go into the yellows nib??
I NEED ANSWERS
😔
Yes it will, poscas aren’t supposed to be blended because it will ruin the nibs, you should use some other art material, like color pencils or alcohol markers to blend!
How to blend with posca markers
Step 1:
Just don’t blend with posca markers
Agreed
Same
It's still looks good though
Your the definition of advertisement if it were for Procreate
And yet they haven’t reached out to work with me lol 🤷🏾♂️
They should! Because of you so many people have decided to be artists and make really good art (including me)
@@TGG_FromGDoggs wow! Thank you so much for the kind comment. I really appreciate it!
You’re*
it is done on watercolor paper to paint with posca?
I know this is random but it makes me uncomfortable how he holds the marker 😭
Whwn the paint is wet then the other marker tip will be ruined for example if I blend orange with yellow so yellow marker tip will have some orange color and yellow which will ruin the original colour hope you understand what I am sayi
What about the sketchbook with the Posca markers?
That sonic was sick 😎
I like the overlapping
Nice drawing
Don't do the first one it will dry out your marker
"Dramaaa💀" GOT ME LAUGHING LOL
I like it when it is over laping
Thanks for the tips, but who actually tries to blend dried acrylic paint?
where to buy the papers for posca markers?
Thank you!
THE SONIC 🤯🤩🤩🤩
Best way is dont
But if it’s wet it can stuff up ur nib and make it all random colored
I recommend dales art supply & paper
Me watching this video having never owned these markers: hmmm yes
I love the way it overlaps anyways but thanks for letting us all know since I can use your way of blending to make the sunset of my drawing😊 ❤
Thanks for the hint cuz I just got some today
But what about the tips aren't they gonna mix the colors on the tips?
Im just paying attention to the giga chad music
Good tutorial
Thank you so much!
No problem
The wet blending will just ruin the color 💀
If you blend while the paint is wet, won't it affect the market tip/sponge's color?
Where did you buy the pasta markers?
But the tip of the Posca gets mixed with the other color
it still looks good
Step 1:have a posca marker😂
I don’t really think poscas are good for shading after like one day of using them 🤣. More for letting it dry and going over the other paint.
Why did i hear "pasta markers"-
It usually blends on the tip of my marker and ruins it
Fantastic! Work
Thnak you ill do it when i got those:)
In another video, he said that you SHOULD wait for it to dry cuz "it will just blend together"
Oh, and I also learned that from my art teacher just because I go to Rosemont Troy elementary
What the brand do u use sir?
Posca
I can’t even blend posca markers the correct way cause I don’t have posca markers
I’m really confused about how well printer paper works tho
What if you dont want to blend but the colors arent dry yet
This is not a universal rule at all, just different styles lmao
Is it good to use it on mug or cup?
yea you can use it on almost everything
@@finnbrandts676
Yes i bought it for my sister, TYSM
I really want those markers so bad
I use printing paper mostly for colour pencil and graphite or ink art
But when i use water colour, marker and all i use a3 sheet made for drawing
(They are expensive tho 💀)
didn't you say to not do that when it is wet and it would just smug into it
I have a question can you use those markers with water color paper just asking 🤔
yes you can
@@AndersonBluu oh ok
@@AndersonBluu thanks
THANK YOU 😎 BRO
Hes teaching us the hard way the first one is way better
My hairs are standing on end just looking at it. You know that screechy sound when you scribble colored markers on paper? 😬 nice coloring tips though. No pun intended. 😅
But let it dry if you don't it will have a mixed up color and you'll cry
The goofy ahh sonic 💀💀💀
Bro you left handed?😮
Is it just me or when the paint is dry it looks better
I tried to buy a 90 dollar 12 pack and i didnt even get posca- but stillt he markers are good so 10/10
I want the whole colection
Bro the first one looks better
Anderson what about scrap paper
bro last video u said:wait for it to dry to have a better blending.
Can posca markers work with staples paper?
Edit: lord pls let him say yes or no
You need more attention your the reason I got attached to drawing
Wow! Thanks for the nice comment 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

Do you know a trick if you have like your color and trying to mix the colors like that you just have to ever and the pinstripe do you see a paint watch paintbrush and water and that’s all you need to do to blend colors and paint
Someone tag Moriah Elizabeth in this
Where do you think the markers? And where could I get the right paper?
Bro, that’s not blending it that’s just giving it a shadow
But when You blend them the way u say it gets the paint on the markers
Can you use watercolor paper?
Wow this drawing is 3d I love that drawing
Or just use a no. 2 pencil like i do ☠️
What if we want cartoon shadows
I would like Pasca markers on my seventh birthday
Posca pens arn't really for blending their more for layering like with the first 2 drawings if you want to blend you should use normal acrylic
“Pasca”
How come i have the mixed media sketchbook but the paper still rips??
