He even slows it down to save us some work when learning it. Legend
now I can finally go further than 0.25x without distorting the audio as much :D
@@medved3027 one can only hope :D
Us? Tf, like 2 people maybe.
right but he takes his tabs of ultimate guitar tho
I cant even interpret the slowed down version 💀
This was such a challenging riff to learn and I cannot even comprehend being able to compose something like this… it’s just mind shattering!
Bro fr. I spend the last few days learning the into/hook and I still can’t do it up to speed. The creativity to compose something like this is astounding
i was thinking 'no way this guy can play that' and then i checked ur channel. impressed.
@@georgetaylor8018 much appreciated, thank you for the kind words 🤘🏼🎸
For those interested, here’s my cover of the riff! ua-cam.com/video/pZ7BRNTnLxM/v-deo.html
Really?
This sounds so beautiful on nylon strings
Absolutely agree, I need a nylon electric, action on a classical is difficult for me 💀
most their melodic stuff seems to sound great on nylon strings.
It is the pilot, not the plane 😆
I don't know if y'all being serious or not. Tim is the💩but this guitar sounds like it.
@@Yu-Fei-Hung well this one is the "plane"
really liking tim's nylon string explorations, hope he continues with it for a while
As a classical guitar player. I love it
@@supernoodles908 I've been learning Playing God on my classical and honestly it's been super fun!
@@Poincianaa I gave it a couple hours before saying "to hell with this"
i just want to be able to buy one from ibanez :(
@@_stan Tim said "just wait till october 1st for the nylon guitar" during his latest stream. Guess we'll soon learn a thing or two about the imminent release
The look on his face at the end of “meh that was too simple” 😂
Bro always looks hella bored 🤣
Right?!! He’s like whatever bro next one hahahahah
Yeah recording vids on your own is annoying, especially with countless takes.
🤣=😏🎵👍
Annoyance at having to waste 43 seconds. Hahaha
The slower version sounds like an emotional heart to heart between two characters at sunset
The wild part is how well the lyrics match to the sound. It just, fits so well. Like absurdly well
Well, wouldn't the wild part be that someone was able to compose this melody on guitar? Syncing up lyrics to a melody that's already produced sounds kool but that's definitely the easiest part of this song, not the wildest.
I could be wrong but I think he meant how well Sophia’s voice matches polyphias tone
@@munt368 This, exactly.
For a moment I thought this was the typical joke of Polyphia not having lyrics but then I remembered this song actually has lyrics 😆
I know, saying ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ is like 100% banger creative lyrics right htere
You even played it slowly for us. What a true gentleman
The musicianship is truly unbelievable. Him and manuel are my favorite guitarists
His name is tim 💀
@@shrawandevkota2948 read the OP again.
@@shrawandevkota2948 he ment Manuel Fernandez from Unprocessed, i guess
@@shrawandevkota2948 he knows but he is referring to him as him
Link to the clip thank me later

I like the switch to nylon strings. It’s a really cool sound. Tim cracks me up. A lot of guitarists add a lot of flare with their facial expressions and body especially when playing something complicated or even groovy. Tim is quite and let’s the music shine in the spot light and have its moment. You know when he is feeling it when you see his head and neck start moving. I know he is not showy because it’s all about the music but it’s nice seeing he is into it even if it’s just a little bit.
Finally!! Love this riff and what you guys are doing!! Can’t wait for the album!
Always love the riffs! They are always tastefully delicious, love the jazz elements in this one.
Just wondering, what jazz elements does he use
@@Ronkz the sequence of notes at the end (right before hitting the harmonics) are not part of the rest of the key.
@@PutingPinoy chromatic =/= jazz but yeah
@@jwlsiee there ya go! Chromatic is the term I was searching for, but yes definitely heard in jazz regularlyz
@@PutingPinoy but chromatics doesn't equal jazz
4 months later and this is still one of the most insane riffs I Have ever heard in my life. The more often I hear this, the more astonished I am. Thank you.
I knew this was coming eventually! Thank you IMMENSELY for playing it slowly.
I love how you can tell how many times he recorded it just by his mannerisms and body language 😆😆
love how he always tries to help us learning his songs, my man slowed it down to make it easier
The fact he did it twice . Once at full speed and once slowly. You guys really do know your audience super well.
Bro Tim my guitar teacher introduced me to polyphia a few weeks ago and tbh I have not been able to stop listening to your music and as someone who plays guitar I want to try and base my style of guitar of of your way of playing because it just sounds so amazing and beautiful
Love this riff, this song is so good!
Its amazing that a genius like Tim exists. He is so fucking humble and so fucking open with all the secrets of his music. He is the musician the music deserves and I'm 100% sure he is just doing music history right now.
Love watching you work man
So in love with those melodies you guys bring us
I've listened to the song once this morning and its been stuck in my head all day
Wow, somehow this sounds so romantic and (IMHO) even better when slowed down.
Waiting for the fan-made “slowed + reverb” version of ABC now lmao
this sounds so good on its own
Absolutely brilliant at writing riffs
Tim you are a legend, thanks for thinking of the community!
Love your guitar - Thanks
I have this excerpt running through my head all the time.....that's a sign of a great melody
Tim is so creative, this is beautiful
I love that they do these stripped down versions and then slow it down. They know their audience so well.
This is a joy to listen to. Thank you for being you!
I recently stumbled across this band as it was recommended on my Spotify (the art cover also caught my attention, purples and pinks are my fave colours). I vibed so hard with it. 💜
Never been a fan of this style of guitar playing but you have to respect the amount of talent it takes
Polyphia transitioning to nylon strings was the best thing they could've done. Absolutely beautiful
I love these unplugged versions
Another day another absolute banger of a song by tim and the boys 🤘🏼
This man is a true inspiration. Straight up guitar wizard!
I go on the UA-cam start page and this video shows up from "8 seconds ago". Really nice playing as always dude.
I love those unplugged riffs
You make this looks so effortless 🖤
Sweet riff, super cool to hear it on it's own, the full song is a bop too (as are all of your guys' music lol)
I'm so glad you played it slow... to remind me that I'll never be good enough at guitar to play a jam like this. Got yalls album 4 hoodie... still waiting for album 4!
Gracias Tim, por no guardarte nada y compartir todo, sos lo más!
amazing as always!!
I need one of those guitars. Tight work man.
Was waiting for this🔥🔥
that lick at the end is such fire
literally obsessed with this song
Love that sound
I like the little smile he gave at the end. Makes me think he was proud he obtained a clip of it on his first attempt. :D
Amazing as always
The legend turned even more legendary, playing it slow at the end for us!
Never ceases to amaze me
wow i’m enjoying all of these videos
Beautiful Riff
this riff sounds so unique on nylon and only Tim could imitate it
Would really like to see a comprehensive break down on the approach to writing this album. I genuinely hope there’s lots of “making of” footage we’ll get to see in the future.
this post is the best birthday present ever
Sounds sick as hell my dude
Great Tim, very relaxing
What a thoughtful musician 🤩
He makes it look so effortless
Wow that sounds amazing 😀
sounds SO GOOD brooo
That he slows it down…that’s just straight out a nice thing to do.
Those semitone trills/embelishments look damn hard to play. I love how with Neurotica and ABC the guitars sound as if they're imitating a vocal part.
Thank you for slowing it down Tim. Helps a lot for someone with amateur guitar skills and wanted to learn this song :D
I live for these playthroughs
I've been waiting for this.
Thanks for slowing down Tim! Now i can finally see and hear every single note when i learn this riff on 0.25x🤧
Freaking genius guitarist.. one of the best
can' get enough of you guys
Tim is so cool he warps space-time around him
Tim your is the walking definition of a flex.
He can make that's sounds soo good fast and make it sound even better slow
Thank you for slowing it down. Really help me think if I should continue playing guitar
This sounds really nice unplugged too.
i feel happy everytime he post these
I watched this 10 times before I realised I’ve been pushing the repeat button to watch the video over and over.
Amazing! as always.
The fact that he slowed down, makes me think that he cares about the guitar nerds around the world, love u Timmy 😍❤️😉
I love it, man you a fuggin beast!
The whole vibe got so mellow when you slowed it down
he makes it look so easy
Thanks for the upload.
Yes I was waiting for this
Thank you! 🖤
I keep trying to play all of this on my acoustic with metal strings and doo doo action. Confidence fully depleted. Thanks, Timmy.
Amazing!
And he makes it look so easy!
Perfection 🤘🔥
This is the key of C is actually really cool. I like that having a different key, can change a feeling of a song immensely
Keys don't change a feeling of a song, modes do.
that riff feels like a Blunt hitting the hardest and smoothest at the same time
What's crazy is even if you learn how to play this and feel good knowing you can and, it's never as good the original source or musician who came up with it. That's humbling! Makes you admire their work that much more
parrr excellenceee! he.. damn.. soo nice to hear. Merci beaucoup, Tim!
Please do a full version of this 🖤
Thank You !!!
that’s soooo nice man, what the fuck 🥲
maybe one of my all-time favourite polyphia riffs?!
can't believe how different it sounds
i hope one day to get even 10% of the talent that tim has
