- Spring storm days are always my favourite in Whistler. Glad I could burn ass all over Whistler with my favourite skiing accomplices. Deep pow, slush, mud or grass... we didn't discriminate and gave it hell on what may have been our last big pow day this ski season.

Thanks for watching Arjun. Sometimes you can really rip down the Couloir when the top is more filled in. It's always a spooky line to drop into. Great one to push the comfort zone in

Man that cream over crust on the top side looked and sounded so good I can feel it. I even like the spring slush with grass shrub and gravel patches but I'm slightly off haha. Hey, that's why they call it patchy snow!! I mean it's still technically snow :) Wouldn't you know it a little pow drops and bam! R and J come out of spring hibernation! Rip it up and enjoy boys as you never know when the last pow blast will be!
Rob and James finally emerged from those Red mountain snow caves when they saw the snow coming in 😂😂😂

can't say i'm any better though, my last ski down from garibaldi lake was definitely "variable" to put it mildly, i probably went 2km too far down the trail before i started booting
You aren't truly a skier until you try and push the descent as far as humanly possible hahaha!
Ahhhhhh........I love to take a run with my morning coffee!! Wow---that was fun! I l always skied on the sides of trails, too--best snow and you can dive into the trees. Hope this isn't the end of the season. It's hard to stay spicy in NYC where there's never snow anymore. Regards to your Mom!Lynn in NYC

insane skiing on 'non snow' surfaces. you are a brave man. maybe you should drive down to oregon. i have heard of people skiing down some of the big san dunes. summer road trip?
I actually went sand-boarding on the dunes last year. Would be awesome to go back with the skis!

That looks lovely. I was hoping for some spring vibes but instead got bucked by my bicycle on the way to work and woke up in an ambulance on the way to VGH. Luckily my face broke my fall. Stay safe out there. Is there still time/snow for a city to sea to sky Cycle, telemark Cypress mission?
Damn.. Hope your head is recovering okay. Cycling in the city is super scary honestly. Might still be just enough at the summit of cypress but you might have to hike about half way up.
@riseandalpine nah, my ass is to unfit after a month off, and my shin is messed up. I thought you might hit it again. Maybe try Seymour this time. You've grinded up Grouse and peddled up Cypress. Which the bike story way exciting, was hopping a speedbump and my frontwheel decided to come off and go on a side quest. We live and learn

I don't really do any park stuff anymore. I'm in it for the turns and longevity at this point in my life. Got nothing to prove, I just do what feels good, have fun and try to keep the body healthy.

hey, do you have any advice for sorta new whistler ski youtubers?
The most important thing is to be yourself and have fun with it. You'll find a style of your own over time and lean into things that the audience like about you and your content. Keep posting consistently for 2 years or longer, make each video better than the last and you'll find success.

Near the bottom it gets pretty bare, but slush is damn fun

James… you need to hook up with Candide Thovex to work on your bramble (earth) skiing… you are pretty good already. WOW… to think that is the end of April and you had almost the best pow day this year… definitely a top 5 day for sure. Good strategy staying close to the rocks in Whistler Bowl with poor visibility. Everything looked awesome! What a day… great skiing for sure 😊⛷
No chance I could keep up with Candide 😂. So hard to believe that we had a day that good so late in the year. Whistler never stops delivering. Those rocks are my fave when the visibility gets bad. Hopefully ULLR can give us one more day like this
