Not into fishing, not into boating, but Rod makes this channel a mandatory watch for me. He brings them together and MAKES them interesting. Sutch a likeable bloke too.
Its been years since I caught a bass but they are good fun when they are biting. This was a great series of vids, thanks for taking us along for the ride.
Love the freshwater stuff mate! When you're chasing barra in those skinny stretches, try trolling squirrels or deeper lures up and down the middle. Often find them holding in the middle or moving up and down the river.
All the fun, camping and fishing, and looking at boats. Oh, just did a search and see we DO have Stabicraft made in Washington state now up North. Thanks for never being click-baity, and titling your video, "Went camping and cops show up!" lol. Cheers!
We got a fresh water reservoir / lake down the street from our house. On the way back from fishing in the gulf like to set the boat in there an run the pumps.
I have been living in camper van, (pop up caravan)half canvas, like any enclosed area you get condensation, this is most likely what you woke up to, it's caused by the inside area being warmer than the outside area, however in your case I would suspect the water being warmer given the fog like atmosphere. There are several ways to rectify this but there are also other causes than mentioned. But for this case I would try fitting another tarp (same as what you have used)or cheaper over the top of your existing setup but with a gap between the two, what this does is create a thermal barrier between the cold ontop and the warm underneath. Also the gap under you current tarp could have allowed the mist/fog to simply enter you sleeping area, still similar concept though warm water cold air creates fog, hope this helps 👍
back in the day i will always remember that even on a short lil fishing trip i would always carry at least 5 litres of spare fuel (premixed to needed ratio)
i should also mention i carried a tool kit in the boat that contained a spare prop (the old one, might be a lil buggered but hey makes a good spare to get you out of trouble), split pin for the prop, spare spark plug, and a basic tool kit that could do those two jobs n then some possibly
Epic dew! Thanks for the rad vids and all the effort and time you put into these vids. All the driving, boating, editing and time away from family and Rokkit Kat Ray is full on. Ignore the entitled whiners😊❤
Great vid mate! The sounds, ambiance, and fresh water scenery were a lot of fun to get a glimpse into. A couple good looking bass as well! All this vid says to me is that there is a fresh, unchecked box on the bottom of the to do list; would love to see ya go back sometime! maybe in bass season, or if there is a time when both are legal. Anyways, tyvm as always, always an adventure! 🤙🏾
Hey, rod head to the dam that system connects to good camping, and that's we're the barra are if you happen to go give me a shout I will come for the trip I know that area 😉
Hey rod absolutely love your videos mate I look forward to watching many more to come , if you don’t mind me asking where was that fresh water creek as I wouldn’t mind going for a look cheers mate
Mate be super careful fishing that creek! The local youth in that area are super sketchy. I had my ute broken into and a brand new dometic fridge stolen while chasing Barra there during the day. Also if you do fish there again try a lot further up the creek to where it spills over some good Barra sit up there
That “bizarre” dew is quite common in Eastern North Carolina in the summertime. You should have seen my yak trip yesterday! Glad I don’t film, THAT was a comedy of errors to say the least. Wind came up and caught a chop side to and broadside wind PROFISHA almost sent me for a swim in bull shark central, a lot of other mistake but ill stop wenching on….at what point are you near freshwater that has big man eating lizards?? Cheers man, top shelf vids always
great vid, but may I suggest a polarizing lens that can see under the water better, we couldn't see the flat heads at the start of your vid... love your work bro, thanks for the video.
Thanks Rokkit... Hey just a suggestion, you ever thought about scotchgaurding your sleeping bag?? Keep it alittle more water proof then.. Good call on leaving the creek... really enjoyed this series.. good to have someone putting in effort in longer episodes. Thanks heaps for sharing..
Yea I think I might grab a new bag as this one is over 18years old. Has lost a lot of its warmth. But yep will be after a bag with a coating too repel the water for sure👍
Great stuff (as usual). Do you have a problem with fuel vapour leeching through the plastic tanks? Breathers are closed when not running, however I have a problem with this when sleeping on the boat.. Even the 5L spare fuel tank does this. Will replace with stainless tanks at some stage.
Would be cool but unfortunately for any decent distance and solar can’t keep up with the energy needed. Unless I had very large batteries and a huge solar panels.
@@rokkitkit there are some very cool and capable electric boats coming out these days, but probably really expensive for now. Anyway, I love your content!
