I just bought a very similar ATV. Runs decent when it wants to. Often idles high which doesn’t let it shift. Sometimes it runs a fine and I can drive it a bit. And sometimes it idles super low and refuses to throttle up. I suppose I’ll clean the carb this Sunday hopefully when I get time. This video was very helpful.

Went through mine twice yesterday and everything looked good but it wouldn't idle and wanted to run wide open. Thanks to your video I can now tell someone had been in there before me and mistakenly connected the upper vent to the upper drain and lost the washer underneath the jet, the float retainers, and seal underneath the float pin assembly. Looks like I'll be ordering a rebuild kit. Thanks for the helpful video!

Wow someone really messed that up 😂 I’m glad you’re pointed in a good direction now! Good luck!

13:37 mine is connected to the frame of the atv. You can see it there right above the silver/gray line

Great video. My 4 stroke 03 trailboss 330 uses a different system. It had a diaphragm on a spring and has a flap that opens. It also doesn’t appear I can take out near as many jets.

Yup that’s a CV carb which is very different on top compared to a normal round slide carb. The bottom of the carb should be similar but not identical. Thanks!
