Easy way to sort out the power issue is to make the power companies use their profits to fit solar panels to every new build roof in the country and grants to other home or business owners to do the same and connect them up to the National Grid then give us all cheap power . If the power companies don't want to do this then nationalise them!

It's what they wanted, to strip people of money and rights. They don't even believe in human rights.
@@luxwolf8858 Yes Lux Wolf. They go on about the lack of human rights in China. What about the people in the UK who have to choose between eating and heating? Where's their human rights?
The kinks, dead end street song 1967, Britain in 2022.
I think the people should get together and refuse to pay the bills. Can you imagine the impact it would have on the utility giants who hold the people at ransom for a profit? If you don't pay the water bill, for example, the water company can't cut you off as it's against human rights. All they can do is send a goon from a debt collection agency to demand you pay it, which will cost them.
I'm 80 years old and I have to sit with a blanket!!! Open your fuckin eyes leader's she's old enough to be your mother and she's not alone
You have to sit with a blanket? OMG the hardship....
Now pm should pay 20k to low income families to recovery from Hardship and Homeless people's and supporting the small businesses is well please Thank you very
Thanks very much
What's the point you work your arse off all week and for what??? Can't even buy what food you like and can't run a bath if there was a quick easy way out of this shit world I'd take it
The UK looks and feels like a joke right now!
Agreed nothing works properly the dumbest people and government in the world 🌎
On the bright side, think of all the excess weight lost by not eating. You'll be very glad to know, all our MP's gave themselves another automatic annual pay increase. This will cheer you up.
Food is cheap. Gas is a luxury. Rent however, is extremely overpriced, if it wasn't for the artificially high cost of keeping a home, people wouldn't need much money to live if they knew how to manage money well.
Just use all the heating you need everyone they won’t cut it off they can’t.
Somebody has to pay for all those billions in deficit spending
Economy seven is the most expensive and inefficient way to heat a house

Brexit has come home to roost.
Go thank Herr Farage, citizen of Germany-and the EU!
Maybe if that mother quit wasting her money on drawing on herself, I’d believe what she said about being frugal, but it’s utter tosh!

I totally agree! And someone has enough money for a hair color not found in nature. I do sympathize to a point, but everyone’s life is a result of the choices they make.

Imagine you could tell the future and nobody believed you 😓
It's not like you can guess lottery numbers but you get too see a number of possible realities and out of then realities you can see which one is most likely.
Our reality is gonna be a dark and miserable one and not one average person is really paying attention.
Politicians should either work voluntarily or be on minimum wage.
Politicians shall have rate of pay that is determined by citizens.
Upper class here, I have lived in poverty and the middle class and I have to say this breaks my heart. Theres a huge disconnect between the digital economy haves and the have nots and this has been driven by far too much capital allocation to tech and far to low taxes on the capital rich. Im afraid of what this will do to our society longer term
Upper class, ay? Get you
Like George Carlin said (slightly paraphrased)
“Now, there's one thing you might have noticed I don't complain about: politicians. Everybody complains about politicians. Everybody says they suck. Well, where do people think these politicians come from? They don't fall out of the sky. They don't pass through a membrane from another reality. They come from British parents and British families, British homes, British schools, British churches, British businesses, and British universities, and they are elected by British citizens. This is the best we can do folks.
This is what we have to offer. It's what our system produces: Garbage in, garbage out. If you have selfish, ignorant citizens, you're going to get selfish, ignorant leaders. Term limits ain't going to do any good; you're just going to end up with a brand new bunch of selfish, ignorant sods. So, maybe, maybe, maybe, it's not the politicians who suck. Maybe something else sucks around here... like, the public. Yeah, the public sucks."
Buying shit we don't need with money we don't have to impress people we don't like who don't give a shit about what we just bought for the last decade probably contributed to getting us here.
I worked for 55 years at sea and paid my taxes . When I retired at 70 both British and NZ governments refused to give me a pension because I retired in Fiji . It's now 15 years since I had a pay .

Yet houses keep on going up!!!
Families aren't the only people who will suffer, everyone on a low income. Stop focusing on Families and think about the population as a whole.
The disabled, particularly. They didn't even get a sniff of the £20pw benefits increase during the pandemic. Add in the fact that any increase they have received over the last decade has always been below inflation which means a decade of actual benefit _CUTS!_
Also, don't forget the Sword of Damocles that hangs over their heads while they wait to be called in again because they _have to prove_ that they are _still_ disabled every couple of years, even if it's a life-long, degenerative illness.
The #ToryScum don't care as long as they have enough useful idiots to vote for them and fight the culture war; a war they started just to keep us all busy so we don't look up and realise that it's the RICH taking all of our money and that it's a _CLASS WAR_ we should be fighting.
Self inflicted. Tough luck. You voted for it. Live with your choice and stop whining.
Tory disaster ...ongoing!!!
Yes not for the boat people 5m pounds a week he can find the money for them Patel gets paid to bring them in Boris is just has bad

Dear British people: What you see and experiance right now is just the top of the iceberg naned Brexit,. Sure, Covid -19 has certainly added to the bad situaton, but the main problem is your current government and Brexit. You live on an island and highly depend on importing many goods, that can/are not produced in GB in sufficient amount. All these goods now need a lot of cerifications to pass the border, which makes them more expensive and more rare, as transportation is significantly delayed.
Until now, trade the new regulations were not or only partly executed, but starting this year, the new regulations are applied and if you look at the long lorry queues at borders you get an idea where this will be going to. Its easy to predict that new regulations and oaperwork will further increase cots of products and the increasing transportation delays will create more shortages by the time.
The same is true for export, While British companies were already coplaining about higher costs for exporting their products, now the fully applied new regulations will cause many smaller or mid companies to slowly die. British farmers and fishermen will likely be unable to export their products to EU, and I doubt that your new overseas partners (Australia, New Zealand, Japan) will make up for their losses, as these countries have own strong farming and fishing industries and prduce with much lower standards.
I am not sure if it is actually possible to replace all goods traded with EU can be replaced with products from your new partners, but if it can be done, it will take many years until it can be finnished.
So you will feel the full impact of Brexit within the next 1ß years or so.
You are actually the rabbits in a big experiment with very uncertain outcome. Brexit has never been a good idea - not good for EU as well as not good for GB, but British people will have to pay a much higher price for it than EU members. I really feel sorry for especially those almost 50%, who voted remain. The coming years will be hard for you....
Funny we manage to import so much shit onto our island. It even learns our language
@@kevwalker5714 Seemingly "it" is intelligent, otherwise it could not learn a foreign language. You seem to have lost this ability, as you prefer judging to thinking, which tells a lot about your intelligence!!!
Please be honest…increases in energy prices are not a uk specific issuer but it is impacting the majority of European countries as well! Bringing every bad things affecting the uk to brexit is making you sound stupid
@@samirotba1970 Energy costs have been rising everywhere, sure. But in Britain your gouvernment has added/rised a lot of taxes to fund Brexit. And costs have been rising also, as you had shortages with many products, which has not happened within EU. And who will eventually pay the costs from now needed certifications and paperwork for goods imported to GB? Do you really think companies will pay for it? No, it will be added to the prices of products, sou you will have to pay it.
And when I say, that you will have to pay a high price, then I am not talking only about money. You will likely have less products to choose, some products will always have shortages and your standard of living will go down slowly, but for sure.
Have you ever talked to British fishermen, who were promised to have more income with Brexit? Yes, they can catch more fish, but they cannt sell it to Europe any more, as it rots now at the border. Same happened to your farmers. Instead of being able to sell more of their products, they actually can sell less, because there is a lack of butchers, who mostly came from EU countries. As a consquence they had to kill their animals and your import of farming product frm EU has encreased.
Listen, Brexit is NOT the only problem in the UK, a lot of issues with Inflation and Cost of Living has around before Brexit happened and when the UK was in the EU, not that the EU is to blame.
You don't seem to live in the UK, how would you like it if I made comments about your own country to you?
So how about you worry about your own country and get lost.
