Golden Sands and Sunny Beach especially are considered low-quality resorts by most Bulgarians. You typically go there if you just want to get smashed for 5 days straight and therefore do not care whether you are in a shithole or not. Most Bulgarians typically go to the resort towns south of Burgas - Sozopol, Primorsko, Ahtopol, Kiten, etc. I defenitely recommend checking Sozopol out if you have the chance, and all the beaches around it like Gradina, Smokini and Kavatsi. They are very beautiful, not as commercialised and are great for partying. And the ladies there are the most beautiful on all of the Bulgarian coast :P

Another enjoyable and informative video from Justin. This video brought back some memories of Golden Sands for me, having stayed there in 2007 and 2017. My first time in Golden Sands was the best, back in June 2007, with some great daylight and nighttime activities on offer. The nightlife was outstanding with some of the clubs playing Chagla music and dancing to it, and of course loads of female company ( it is Bulgaria after all). When I went back to Golden Sands 10 years later in 2017, did not have the same feel to it. It came across as being very commercialized and a bit tacky. On the positive side, Golden Sands is a well-maintained resort with terrific beaches, is very compact and is well connected with the historic city of Varna. On the negative side, Golden Sands can appear to be like a Bulgarian Blackpool, once you have walked around it several times it starts to become rather repetitive, and the constant playing of the really loud techno and rave music is everywhere on the seafront bars is very annoying to put up with. Some hotels in Golden Sands still have the appearance of being from the 1970s, very socialist style. I stayed in a very charming hotel on the southern part of Golden Sands in the direction of Varna in 2017. Thanks once again to Justin for this video and I hope to see more videos of Golden Sands.

Best beaches are In Cyprus. Visit Varosha -the closed city ( all hotels ruined unfortunately and empty for more than 40 years) ; surrounded by soldiers but you can still go inside to its beaches . Dont take the small bus just walk a bit and you will find the lonely beach. The beach is all yours. No people and water is amazing. Paradise just by yourself. You feel like Johnny Depp who owns an Island.

Just a heads up, when you saw the chickens at 10:10 and talked about "what if there was a lamb there". It's actually a thing in Bulgaria, they dish is called a "cheverme" which consists of a whole lamb placed the same as the chickens, on a rotating piece of wood, and cooked for up to 8 hours so it comes out extremely tasty and juicy. There's a restaurant on the seaside which is in Nessebar where they do it very nicely. The place itself is called "Chevermeto" after the food, if you are ever in Nessebar but you can find them elsewhere as well.

Hey Justin, are you in Bulgaria these days? Let's go for some awesome mekitsi in Varna. As for the Ukrainians - they get one time payment of 380lv per family (regardless of the number of people in it), and until the 31st of May the government paid 40lv to the hotel (directly) to accommodate them. Since the 1st of June it's 15lv per person and they have to pay for the rest. No money is given directly to them.

Dont take the small bus just walk a bit and you will find the lonely beach. The beach is all yours. No people and water is amazing. Paradise just by yourself. You feel like Johnny Depp who owns an Island.
Without Amber Heard I hope!!!
Now I will have to go there, sounds amazing!!!
I'm from Bulgaria, it depending what people looking for...
For party and night life Sunny beach is one of the best summer place, for beaches, sunny weather and food Cyprus is top 1 destination in Europe, but the best beaches are in Protaras area...
Enjoy your videos
i am so glad you are enjoying the video...Thank you so much for watching 👍👌

Just a heads up, when you saw the chickens at 10:10 and talked about "what if there was a lamb there". It's actually a thing in Bulgaria, they dish is called a "cheverme" which consists of a whole lamb placed the same as the chickens, on a rotating piece of wood, and cooked for up to 8 hours so it comes out extremely tasty and juicy. There's a restaurant on the seaside which is in Nessebar where they do it very nicely. The place itself is called "Chevermeto" after the food, if you are ever in Nessebar but you can find them elsewhere as well.
Hi Vladimir.
Thank you so much for the comment and the tip.
My next food mission in Bulgaria will be Cheremeto👌👌👌
I am so.looking forward to it.
Please keep the nice comments and likes coming as they really help the channel 🙏
Burgas is with its own beach and worth a visit. Great content Justin. Sozopol is my favourite place.

@@J.E.E Sunny Beach, never been there. Actually not even in Bg, at the moment. One reason to watch your channel. 😎👍👍
@@e-bikerbulgaria Thank you so much for watching
It isn't pronounced agneshkA like polish... has nothing to do with poland....
It is pronounced AgneshkO. Which just means lamb...
Thank you for clarifying mate... Still amused me 🤣
Been to both.Golden Sands is quieter than Sunny Beach, but I prefer Sunny Beach.
They both have their charm👌👍

It is mate... I come often, always a great time here in Golden Sands
@@J.E.E, enjoy it while you can, buddy, 'cause soon it'll be destroyed...
Its a nice weather to be on the Golden Sands. I would recommend to lookup some side beaches or places as well, since they're not that populated and very clean! It's amazing environment. Of course, you should experience the nice people around and English shouldn't be an issue if you meet anyone >40. :)
Cheers from a Bulgarian Friend ~.
Hello mate,
Thank you so.much for your input.
I really enjoy your country and will definitely check more places out next time I am there.
All the best and please keep the comments and likes coming as they really help the channel 👌👍
Justin my friend, loved this but you are right, the music in that German bar sucked...! LOL Excellent informative video...! Greg...IN
Hello Greg,
I think you and I are on the same wavelength of life...
That music was diabolical, but super popular with the Germans there.
Thanks for watching mate.
Hi John,
Thanks for clarifying the Ukrainian facts...
I am in London but I am back on Monday... lets do it!!!
Message me on justinmalka7@gmail.com
Just out of curiosity, what is the place for mekitsi in Varna ? Looking forward to trying as well!
Correct your exposure sir :)

3:54 You can go ANYWHERE in the world 🌍 and you will encounter one of the following nationalities if not ALL in some of the most unexpected places 😂 these being...
Nigeria 🇳🇬, Republic of Ireland 🇮🇪, Australia 🇦🇺, Brazil 🇧🇷 and Scousers (Liverpool, UK 🇬🇧).
Very true and you can add Israeli to that list too!!!
Thanks for watching mate.
Many scousers for sure, we have a villa close to Varna, two thirds of our neighbors are from Liverpool, they just come for the summer
Hello Justin. I was looking for an Eastern European country to relocate to. I'm from Nigeria, Africa. I have a friend in Bulgaria and he's saying I should come. What do you think? Do you think Bulgaria is a good country to relocate to? Or do you have advise for another Eastern European country you can recommend?

6:42 Polish influence is visible - "zajebisty kebab" :)))
Absolutely... Wait till you see the lamb at then end👌👍
@@J.E.E Justin, the pronunciation is not soft, it's "agneshka" and simply means "lamb" in Bulgarian (fem. adj. - lamb what?)
Was there 50 years ago mainly for shopping and was only 11 y old
I recently found your videos and i love them. You're always so friendly and charming to the people. I like it. Especially since i travel to Bulgaria about two times of the year. There were a lot of nice places you showed on the Varna episodes and i will visit them later in June. I feel so embarrased for the Germans at the Mojito Bar. They act like pigs on vacation!
Thank you so much!! my friend and I am happy you are enjoying the content.
June is the perfect time and let me know if you need any tips on the place!!!
@@J.E.E I totally forget to ask: Where do you change your Money when you're at Golden Sands? Since i am going in June, maybe you could give me a tip. I usally used the changing booths at the beach. Thanks in advance.
@@TheFrankonia83 I would not recommend doing that... There is a place in Varna called Vrachev, that is the most reliable place

Hi Lee,
Actually it is the other way around... I was born in London and have lived in many countries... As a result this weird accent😋

That is too low!!!😡
Yea it is little higher I think but true, very low
In fact, the sand of Golden Sands is not "sand" at all!Hese are very tiny (less than a millimeter) pieces of mussel shells! There is no other such "sand" anywhere in the world!
Kebabs are only to find on turistic places in Bulgaria or a very big cities where again there is tourism
Thank you very much for your input! 👍😃
Come to Sunny Beach and visit us at the slingshot
Sounds good mate!!!
Tell me more.
