That fish with a funky lip looks like a bass fisherman got a hold of him🤣 insane hook set!
I grew up in Southern California fishing for Ocean Perch, and my go to bait was muscles. They worked better than even sand crabs. I never tried any kind of lure in the surf. I was actually surprised when I heard about people using lures for perch.
Surf fishing is fun!
The 110mm Calissa, in chrome sardine, works really good for Barred perch from socal and Redtail perch from Bodega bay all the way to Washington state. I catch redtails and Stripers on Calissa's and LuckyCraft hard baits, here in Mendocino, along Ward Ave.
I loved surf fishing in LA county where I grew up. Surf perch, corbina, yellow croaker, guitar fish, leopard sharks, and sometimes a small halibut.
And the grunion run.
Surf fishing is fun!
I used to like to use a light conventional rod for surf fishing. When the perch hits it, it's a lot of fun!
Good shit!!!i got the old hey bike and hit the jettys&inlets from bolsa to newport...been itching for serf perch action at bolsa
Thanks for sharing the info I might have a little more fun now on the beach
Soft-shell (recently molted) sand crabs are the ticket for fantastic surf fishing!
Thanks for your very informative video. The e-bike is a perfect accessory to cover a lot of coastline. New subscriber!
It's good to get to the beach surf fishing. I do a lot spearfishing in HB So Cal. with a Hawaiian sling. It's so addicting i rarely use a pole anymore .
I’ve been wanting to get into using a Hawaiian sling… seems like so much fun seeing the fish and choosing the ones you want to harvest.
Then again rod is nice cuz you can keep dry and still traverse but man ive been trying for a keeper halibut for so long I might have to just go dive with a sling and find my keeper 🤣
You dive off the habors / rocks?? Or do you offshore dive too?
Biggest halibut I've caught in 60 years surf fishing in carlsbad with a sand crab! So many yummy fish tacos!@
K, you go to the beach and don't take your... Um, what's his name...? Thor, Theo, the white fluffball :) Sure, you're on a bike, so, get a basket for him. Another great fishing video, Thanks Adam, Great job!
Wearing a actual wetsuit is a game changer bro. Got to try it. Booties or some old shoes. Booties better. You can get way out there for the cast and you don't get cold. Good work bro
Your surf fishing videos are always my favorites. 😎
Thanks again for the great content and the information about the way you fish. Catch you next time. Mike
Any time!
Smashed it, nice work as always. 5/1 is approaching... And I will be there 🙂
You still have not found my secret bait for surfperch! If there's fish in the area they'll hit it. Don't see too many people ever using it. But, like all good fisherman we don't give up our secrets!😜
If it’s anything that I use.. Does it have to do with anything from the alphabet and a full grown person?
Great vid Adam !!! Like the hit and run technique, guilty of not moving enough. Fished montara beach today. Slow but a few Thanks.
Fun day at the surf!
Yesterday in San Diego it was terrible fishing. Just non stop grass and debris on every cast. :)
Sorry to hear that!
Ngl my spot is Stinson, it’s a drive but it’s not the city traffic! Haven’t gotten a but there yet but bolinas is right there so it should have some. Good amount of stripes there and perch.
yo i dont know how common that rod is for surf fishing but i use the same one and love it!
In Oregon, we can only ride e bikes on beaches where cars are allowed. There are only two beaches ... I tried riding on my local beach and was immediately stopped by the sheriff know your laws on your beaches
I’ve been having better luck with the “knocker rig” over the Carolina rig…leader with no barrel swivel, weight, bead(optional), hook and definitely sand crabs, ghost shrimp, mussels, or live bait fish is best imo… but soft plastics work too…
love the old school surf fishing 🍻
never tried that for surfperch! sounds good!
Fish on !! That looks like seacliff
Dude, be a bit more careful unhinging the bike so close to the family jewels. It can pinch very hard and fast. A lot of weight behind it as well. You really don't want to ruin your day/week like that.
Good point!!!!
Adam, those surf perch look delicious! Happy eating. ❤
Nice fishing Adam!
Awesome !!! I just did some perch fishing today as well
I saw that! Killin it!
Does it make any difference if you rig those paddle tail grubs with the hook pointing up or down?
What’s your rod set up ?
where is the location for fishing
what kind of reel /rod combo are you using?
Great videos that you put out.
Question what microphone do you use to help eliminate wind noise?
How much lbs braid are you using on your main line? I use mono, how much should I be using for my main?
Adam, when are you going to break down and buy a truck? Love your videos….keep’m coming!
Could be any time now! haha
Awesome
just curious of the rig do you use a jig head or just a hook and split shot?
C rig
Its all in the video!
I am new to fishing. Where do you buy the lure and what is it call? Does it come with the hook when you buy? If not what is the hook size please. Thanks
What weight sinker did you use?
where are you fishing at ?
What lb test was your leader and what was your weight size?
What size weight you use on the c rig?
I hope some more manufacturers of e-bike see you how your e 🏍️ bike works and useful ..
Hi Adam, love your videos, could you tell me what program you use for your video editing?
I use Adobe Premiere
Maybe it's not the season but I'm requesting another sturgeon vid
I often wonder why these "Fishermen" don't walk fifteen feet down to the receding water and cast further out. Afraid to get your toes wet?
Barrel weight size?
Thx for your video
when is the catch and cook video coming? i want to see you cook some of these.
soon!
I’m curious why the lucky craft was left behind?
Do you ever bother fishing that reservoir next to your bike trail? I have wasted so many hours there haha!
Not yet!
it should be rubber lip season now until May or late May.
Love that motor oil, red flake, paddle tail.
Just made a bunch of those in the 2.8 inch.
Hey, so are you experiencing any corrosion or rust issues on the bike from riding in the wet sand?
Also, is there any other style of rig that was equally effective as the C rig for using the grub?
Nice video. That’s a pretty dope bike. To be able to maintain that speed in the sand , didn’t expect to see that. 👍🏻
I wash down the bike with fresh water when I get home and it has been working well so far!
@@DieHardFishing Nice. I wondered if the wash down would cause rusting. It’s seems like a normal bike will rust from just the humidity in the air.
The more I think about it the more I don’t want to walk to find perch lol.
Thanks for replying. 👍🏻
Yo my dude what size line are you using for that 3000 reel..?
30 pound braid
Where are you fishing?
Would you recommend some beaches in Sonoma county
looks like a Lucky 13.
Hey where about So Cal
What kind a bike is that does it have a motor
perch pooboi's fry 'em up!!
I'm in the Palos Verdes area and want to learn how to surf fish in my area. Does anyone know of anyone teaching it? Thanks.
Do you feel like getting a pickup truck instead of the car?
Santa Cruz area?
Probably more around the San Francisco Bay. That's where he normally fishes.
@@williambenner701 A calm, 1 wave surf??
South of Santa Cruz
@@williambenner701definitely not sf bay
Definitely in the Monterey Bay somewhere. Look how small those waves are. Halibut water! That bike looks cool, but heavy!
Fkn nice!!
Ur fishing in my hood.
novice question: why the bead?
Why you dont let see how you make the fish for eating. People lyk that to see you cooking and see diverse cant off making it.
Sorry for my englihs.
Love your channel very machs.
Greeting from Belgium and my Georges.
That might be a LEGAL BAG LIMIT; however, it seems excessive.
For surf perch? Nah. They’re millions of perch and they also live birth. Plenty of them in the waters
Plasticity Index
How come you don’t have a little trailer with it something you could put your ice chest and hang your fishing poles on and all the other stuff that put in the backpack in the back of your back you know that little trailer thing with the big inflatable tires of people Trail have been hooked up to your damn bike and then you have everything you need ice, chest food, beer a place to put the fish inI think that’s what I would do if I got this bike I would like to, but I think they cost like $7000 so I don’t think so
