Agree with comments on here, you both need to do your own tv show with bikes and chat, just great to listen to you both, banter and the knowledge and bike building make it a perfect watch! 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
I've always said James is the encyclopaedia of motorsport (bikes) when i listen to his commmentary on Eurosport, i didn't realise he's also bike mechanic..and a knowledgeable one too.. great video Lee
This takes me back to working on my TZ350F after many times throwing me down the road back in the late 70’s ish. Finally destroyed my last one at Druids at Oulton Park in 84 and still have the short collar bone and limp to remind me……. Now I’m 70 and wish I was still racing. Whit you are a legend keepng the 2 stroke dreams alive.
Thank you for sharing this unobtanium bike build. A real treat to listen to James and yourself. Proper bike and easy to work on. “Tank of in literally 5 seconds”. He isn’t exaggerating! Subscribed and looking forward to the next installment. Made my night here in Canada!
This is SO cool Lee! I'm over in the states and I envy the number of historic tracks the EU has and the historical significance of racing over there. SO awesome! 👍😎 I'm 63, loved motorcycle racing/Motorsport racing in general my whole life. I finally have the money to do it, I would love to come over to Europe for a summer just to check out all the motorsport racing alone. MUST: Pay whatever is cost for a 9/10th's "taxi" ride around the nurburgring in a Porsche GT3 RS!
Great video thanks for sharing Lee. Love that YZR, beautiful bit of history and cannot wait to see it complete. Keep doing vids with Whit too, he is a legend 🫡
Great video again Lee looking forward to seeing you and James getting it finished and ridding it . Hope you get a good ride for next season you'd be idea for Clive Paggetts team.
What a pleasure to be able to see the such a beautiful bike being stripped and built up again. You and Whit have a great chemistry and what an abundance of knowledge Whit has. More of these types of vlogs please
Those carbs r peices of art that i could easily put in a glass case on my dinning table , just beautiful bits of art , i rode the strokers back in the day but they annoyed the hell out of me because i could get them to run mint one day and id have ta tune em again the next and got sick of tightening everything up every five mins , so my buzz was four strokes , i love modern day superbikes for the same reason i love those carbs , they're just beautiful, even in production trim.
We were travelling back from Brands BSB (Showdown) the other weekend, just walking into Peterborough services....Whit and Matt Roberts were walking out! Had a quick chat. Witham had us laughing within a minute. 😅 Top bloke-pride of Yorkshire. 😇🕺🏼
I loved my RD350LC, my dream bike. I would like to ride a Ducati SS, and an RZ500 but the RD350LC was the bike for me. Restoring a Lotus is similarly fun because even the street cars are just a little different from one another.
Those wheels look spot on, as does the CF airbox. It'd be nice to know which riders competed on that particular machine if possible. Great update, thanks. 😁👍
You and James are great together. The bike is looking fantastic. James knowledge is brilliant. He is one of the old school racers, that knew there bikes inside out. Why don’t you get Neil to give you a hand as well. He has years of experience building bikes. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Luv these videos mate always good to see Jim on the channel the knowledge he has is unbelievable the videos a great luv the race one's also these build videos and you on road bikes as well more Lee can't wait
We had brake fittings supplied to us by Goodrich back in the 80s and they were all anodised aluminium, I still have some in my garage they weigh nothing. Love looking at James doing his thing, also that LC he is doing reminds me of my production race LC I had in the early 80s they were the business really cheap racing.
So when Whitt is telling us all about the electric carb trickery, there's a bit of music playing. Is that Christie having a laugh in the edit? I imagine my missus occasionally has a similar tune playing in her head when I'm chatting bubbles about bikes 😂
Whit is first and foremost a biker, his racing career is another part of his life. So he loves bikes and loves tinkering and this shines through with the stuff he does for pleasure. Whilst Mick Grant is still the greatest living Yorkshireman James is definitely next in line to the throne.
I had my Dymags refurbished by Dymag 15+ years ago. They said very much the same, but you must seal them otherwise they will let air through. You end up with bubbles in the paint and a slow puncture.
Absolutely cracking bike and the craic is 90 with you two ☺️☺️☺️,, it's a great series and with the knowledge and contacts, mere mortals couldn't get done 👍☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️ from northern Ireland
Bloody well enjoyed that one, Did take me a few moments to get over the pair of you talking about cheap bits for the carbon airbox,,, Cant wait to see it up & running, & Lee you have got to let James let you have proper ride out on the LC, Which one will put more smiles on your face ? Smiles per miles !!
Loved this content. Brilliant. Superb. Knowledge and enthusiasm = gold standard entertainment. Lee your comment “James’s wages are really cheap and he is really keen” 😂😂😂
Absolutely brilliant Lee but it’s funny how when you watch the speeded up footage James seems to be doing all the moving about . Just saying. Loved it. Do more.
What a beautiful job you are doing with JW i'm sure it will be fantastic when it's finished. My best wishes to you from the Philippines ♥️💪👍😉😀😁🏁🛺🏍️🐑🇵🇭🏴⭐
Top job as usual you and Jamie proper bants still don’t know how you make the rebuild look so easy you are obviously talented engineers and I have to ask how is Neil !!
Back in the late 80’ early 90’s I spannered for my mate in 250 2 stroke championships I got to the point when we arrived at a meeting I could sniff the air and know the correct jetting and set up..shame I couldn’t work fanny out in the same way 😂
The LC350 in the background was my husband's bike from 1984 to 1993. He sold it to Derek Johnson Motorcycles in Manchester. He was over the moon to see 'Elsie' is still alive!
JW is just a legend. Love his knowledge, and he is brilliant when he commentates.
You should do more vids with Whit, he's a legend! You both still doing the trials riding? Love a bit of spannering!
Agree with comments on here, you both need to do your own tv show with bikes and chat, just great to listen to you both, banter and the knowledge and bike building make it a perfect watch! 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻

Got to love Whit
His so enthusiastic about everything but that's just the way he is brilliant 😂
This is the best content of all could watch hours of race bike builds 👍
Thank you for sharing this unobtanium bike build. A real treat to listen to James and yourself. Proper bike and easy to work on. “Tank of in literally 5 seconds”. He isn’t exaggerating!
Subscribed and looking forward to the next installment.
Made my night here in Canada!
Glad you enjoyed it
Great to see you and Whit working together again, you're both good to watch.
Love watching you snd James together, he's such s character. I love listening and learning stuff from guys like you..
This is SO cool Lee! I'm over in the states and I envy the number of historic tracks the EU has and the historical significance of racing over there. SO awesome! 👍😎

I can't believe how smart James is. He hides it well 😊
My new favourite series to watch now I’ve found it! Subscribed! 🤘🏻
Welcome aboard!
You should organise all the yzr500 videos into a playlist. I can't imagine there is a 2t nerd that wouldn't watch the series.
The knowledge of James it is unbelievable love watching him at work!!!!!
Or is it a hobby…..
No matter which it is this is a fantastic vlog. ❤
Jamie is an awesome block, so fun and quick witted, and never changes… we want to see more with him Lee 👏
What a pleasure to be able to see the such a beautiful bike being stripped and built up again. You and Whit have a great chemistry and what an abundance of knowledge Whit has.
More of these types of vlogs please
I restore bikes so it’s great to see the detail that is required to restore at a high level
Keep it coming looking forward to the start up
Great video Lee, I do love a workshop video. Anything with JW in it is worth a watch, love his enthusiasm and knowledge.
Thank you for sharing this video, Lee. I’m having a rough time right now and these videos warm my heart. Thank you
Those carbs r peices of art that i could easily put in a glass case on my dinning table , just beautiful bits of art , i rode the strokers back in the day but they annoyed the hell out of me because i could get them to run mint one day and id have ta tune em again the next and got sick of tightening everything up every five mins , so my buzz was four strokes , i love modern day superbikes for the same reason i love those carbs , they're just beautiful, even in production trim.
I’d hate to ask just how hard it was to find another YZR500 radiator..and how much it was! 😮
Good content though Lee, love the banter 👍🏼
Definitely do more videos with jw his knowledge and enthusiasm is second to none love watching you both keep the videos coming lads 👍
Brilliant vlog Lee. I will now consider you and James as the Leejam
That bike is absolutely stunning. And James such a top chap. Great video Lee, thanks mate
We were travelling back from Brands BSB (Showdown) the other weekend, just walking into Peterborough services....Whit and Matt Roberts were walking out! Had a quick chat. Witham had us laughing within a minute. 😅 Top bloke-pride of Yorkshire. 😇🕺🏼

More content with James and you please, he's a legend and a font of racing knowledge and just naturally funny 😀
I remember that article with Nial Mac as a kid. I was in awe of the 2t 500s. Great vids.
Whitham's contribution drives views, likes & subscriptions. He's a National Treasure. Ta!
Sick video with Jamie bro..He certainly knows his stuff..Be good to see loads more of you's two building that yz500 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
A master craftsman at work making the rest of us look like butchers very impressive thank you more more more !!!
I can't wait to hear it running. Great work 😊
Those wheels look spot on, as does the CF airbox.
It'd be nice to know which riders competed on that particular machine if possible.
Great update, thanks. 😁👍
Yes we have this info I will share all this when the bike is running
Great video Lee, really interesting stuff. Whitham is really knowledgeable, a great commentator, and a funny bloke.
You and James are great together. The bike is looking fantastic. James knowledge is brilliant. He is one of the old school racers, that knew there bikes inside out. Why don’t you get Neil to give you a hand as well. He has years of experience building bikes. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
This was stunning when blue as Gary dynes ridden it at the tt
Luv these videos mate always good to see Jim on the channel the knowledge he has is unbelievable the videos a great luv the race one's also these build videos and you on road bikes as well more Lee can't wait

Fantastic 👍 yes to more videos like this. Who doesn't like watching whit working.
Really enjoy all your videos, but this one was brilliant. Really enjoyed the longer format
So when Whitt is telling us all about the electric carb trickery, there's a bit of music playing. Is that Christie having a laugh in the edit? I imagine my missus occasionally has a similar tune playing in her head when I'm chatting bubbles about bikes 😂
😂😂 opps 🫣
Jim has an iconic voice. If he did a podcast reading the phone book... I'd listen!
Of course we all want to see more.. Silly question Lee. Great vid 👍
As said in someone else’s comment it’s great watching this kind of stuff and could this stuff for hours and it’s great watching you guys together
Anyone else wanna go for a ride on the RD350LC 😊 I raced and had a Elsie on the road in the 80’s what a magnificent bike wish I had one now
Brilliant content as always, JW really does know his stuff looking forward to seeing it running.
Whit is first and foremost a biker, his racing career is another part of his life. So he loves bikes and loves tinkering and this shines through with the stuff he does for pleasure. Whilst Mick Grant is still the greatest living Yorkshireman James is definitely next in line to the throne.
Haha I can’t wait to tell him this fact 👍🏻
I had my Dymags refurbished by Dymag 15+ years ago. They said very much the same, but you must seal them otherwise they will let air through. You end up with bubbles in the paint and a slow puncture.
Think the mag wheels are slightly porous, hence without being sealed the air from inside the tyre pushes the paint off the inside.
Absolutely cracking bike and the craic is 90 with you two ☺️☺️☺️,, it's a great series and with the knowledge and contacts, mere mortals couldn't get done 👍☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️ from northern Ireland
More Wit vids he's genuinely entertaining.
Love the interaction between Jamie and yourself.👍👍
Love this, proper man (men) in a shed stuff. You are right about Whits knowledge…..amazing!
this is actually very very entertaining, more please!
More of this please………every week!👏🙏
Bloody well enjoyed that one, Did take me a few moments to get over the pair of you talking about cheap bits for the carbon airbox,,, Cant wait to see it up & running, & Lee you have got to let James let you have proper ride out on the LC, Which one will put more smiles on your face ? Do more.

You two are absolute legends, love these vlogs 🏍🏍👍
Top job as usual you and Jamie proper bants still don’t know how you make the rebuild look so easy you are obviously talented engineers and I have to ask how is Neil !!

Two blokes off fishing. Now two chaps working on and in the end riding bikes.
Brilliant work boys.
Back in the late 80’ early 90’s I spannered for my mate in 250 2 stroke championships I got to the point when we arrived at a meeting I could sniff the air and know the correct jetting and set up..shame I couldn’t work fanny out in the same way 😂
Looking forward to more of these. 😎👍🏍️
The LC350 in the background was my husband's bike from 1984 to 1993. He sold it to Derek Johnson Motorcycles in Manchester. He was over the moon to see 'Elsie' is still alive!
