Kate covers the full spectrum. She's fearless! I love that she will go from soft ballads to just solid rock. She is such a chameleon. When she was in her teens she was writing and singing about mature sexual relations. Her voice in interviews is always soft, demure. But when the bass and drums kick in, she's a dirvish. Imagine being in a room and seeing the veil come down and her looking you straight in the eye, admitting she has a sexual appetite and longs for authenticity and candor. Knowing her talent and empathy, I don't know if the messiah would fill me with more awe and wonder
The culmination of a stunning album. As individual songs go, I'd have to say the song immediately preceeding this is a better bet, Nocturn. It's one of her best.
Great reaction - thanks! When she finished her live shows in 2014 with this song, she was lifted towards the roof with black crow wings. A moment to remember!
All the tracks on this side of the album need to be listened to as one single experience , just as intended (they all beautifully flow into each other)
You really need to sort the sound out. When you're talking you can't here the bloody song. It sounds like it's coming from you're home speakers through the mike. You're comments used to be quiet, in the background, now it's so overpowering. You don't get the full sound, like it's not direct off YT and some of the sound is muted, some channels not coming through. It's been like this for quite a few weeks now and, for me, is spoiling the songs you are reacting to. A big pity as on this song at least, it's really spoilt it.
oMGGGg! I just subscribed lol. This album is a solid 11/10 for me. Other songs you HAVE to check out from Aerial (yes, also the name of the album) are “Sunset”, “Nocturn” and “A Coral Room” 😍
The birds are celebrating the beginning of a new day, celebrating the here and now, joyfully reacting to the light while we desperately search for some complex meaning they are enjoying the moment, come on lets all join in, I promise you we're going to be laughing about this.
Stop teasing your self. Jump in and do the whole "Sky Of Honey" suite . It's amazing. And no it doesn't sound like Floyd, sounds like Kate. As musicians you owe it to yourself.
Yeah honestly I’d understand if you guys didn’t quite get the song or why there are birds chirping so loud anyway lol, I’d be confused too. It’s kind of the whole theme of the part 2 section of the album. I took it as birds are just like us as humans, could very well have their own language, and that we should view them as sentient, intelligent beings. So something such as human laughter and birds “laughing” aren’t so different after all, maybe we both enjoy the same, simple things in life, even though we’re so “different”, just my take.
You can’t listen to this track in isolation. It’s the culmination of the Sky of Honey concept suite. You don’t get it in context on its own. (PS your sound quality needs work!)
We’ve actually never listened to anything ever before in our lives and are glad that someone can finally make that assessment by watching just one of our videos
I feel if you listened to the song instead of having conversations over it, we might get a genuine reaction from you. As it is, you just seem performative and not at all providing a reaction.
And we feel that you can hear our words (which is also a form of reacting) about the song where we address all of this when the song is over- to each their own
Breathtaking!

When Kate sings she becomes a completely different character, for example Kate said that when she sung "Wuthering Heights" she was channeling Cathy.
the guitarist is Dan McIntosh
...her hubby.
Fun to watch you guys react to this!
In context, the birds are not too loud. It's the culmination of the entire Sky of Honey suite.

Agreed, but the real magic is in how all the songs flow together. It's really a cohesive album.

That part of the show was so magical! It was like being part of something mysterious and occult, like taking part in the most extraordinary rite ❤❤❤

Thanks for letting us know
I agree to much yapping about stuff not about the music

Thanks so much for the sub!
The album cover is a mirror image of the birds sound visualisation

Kate's husband Danny McIntosh on guitar.

Époustouflant !
I hope you two are OK - I've been hearing about the flooding down your way!
We’re ok Jeff, thanks for the mention. It was a crazy day, our feet and clothes were soaked, but we made it through!

Thanks for the info. Yes, the link to this was very low.
Do you ever just listen?
