How about 222 to 225 MHz?? Also be warned that having a radio in your automobile in Florida that can receive the public service frequencies can be a problem. The FCC ID number on the label I can't find in the FCC type acceptance database.

I wished I knew to check the FCC database for DataSheets sooner. Most valuable free tool anyone can use. If it’s not found there its a good sign what your checking isn’t exactly being used as designed for. 😂.

Have one. Cannot find any pertinent features that aren't present in a UV5R. Can't see the display outdoors. I think the fonts are comedic. That display, small battery and front mounted controller board are bound to eat batteries, despite the OP's uncertain evaluation. Extended batteries cost twenty dollars.
"A36" is factory nomenclature for the UV5R chassis. Don't overpay.
I can't understand anything on my "Airband" either. Just like yours.
If you, somehow, think you need all those extra receive frequencies, well, I guess it's OK.
I see it as a standard Baofeng, tricked out with firmware a kooky case.
