The scene where he transformed for the first time in the real world solely with his willpower was incredibly well-executed, and it gave me chills while also bringing tears to my eyes.
I remember this guy in high school would watch this show in class, at first I'd poke fun at him for it but then it started to grow on me and I ended up actually liking it. I never knew what it was called all these years and now I can finally go watch the whole thing

Prbly for the best it only lasted 26 episodes. There's only so much you can do with such a niche premise. Although I'd be intrested to see what Nobuo and Yuko make of the post-2013 Sentai.
I just finished watching it and I gotta say that I loved it! Season 1 made me laugh more, but Season 2 was still worth the watch. What bothered me (and others after seeing the comments) the most was Mitsuki being replaced in Season 2. Does anyone know why that happened? Did the actress decided not to continue being a part of the show? Was it all part of the meta where Hatte Saburo rewrote the plot going in to Season 2?
I like season 1 because the shakeup plot was interesting, but I like how the whole "delusions affect reality" plotline was both retconned away and stayed intact. It wasn't the main focus, but every plot focused around the fact that the wall between delusion and reality was broken enough for every plot to affect reality. I don't really think the plot was so much rehashed, as it was continuing along its natural course, with the main thing being that only Malsina remembered.
I find this series to be similar to nickelodion show 'Kappa Mikey' because
1. They both are parody satire of popular entertainment in japan industries
Akibaranger being tokusatsu parody and
Kappa mikey being anime parody
2. They both have really great humor
And joke about stuff in tokusatsu and anime
3. Both have their main character leaving their country for a reason mikey leave usa to japan for acting
Mitsuki leave japan to usa for pentagon
4. Both have main character name 'mitsuki'
5. Both having a hero teambbut not really
Akibaranger only fight in delusion world,
Kappa mikey has team 'Lilymu' consist of (mikey, lily, mitsuki & guano) and it all just acting in a set because lilymu is just a 'super sentai' kinda show something nobuo wish he could do in his life to act in sentai show,
6. Both having over the top opening theme,
So thats all connection and similarity i could find between Kappa Mikey and AkibaRanger, if you guys not watch kappa mikey yet give it a shot it is just as good as akibaranger too
Hearteu Attack I remember seeing a few episodes of that when I was a kid, but I didn’t understand it back then before it got booted to Nicktoons, which I didn’t have at the time. Perhaps I’ll give it another chance!

A spoiler warning upfront would have been nice, I had two vendors video early I hope you haven't spoiled all of the best parts of the show, but I feel you have we were suddenly into spoiler territory before I knew it I hope either people have said this and you learn or have learnt from this not sure how old is video is as I'm writing this comment. Reviews generally have all the revealing Stuff with a warning on the second half of the review so the viewer has the option of turning off before hearing or seeing anything they don't want I just wanted to know if it was worth watching now I feel I don't need to so you're review a 1 out of 10 I don't want to be mean, I'm just saying how it is, firm but fair and trying to be, and yes grammar Monkeys my grammar and spelling suck I'm aware I'm dyslexic I'm on working very hard getting better.
That's my bad, I do normally put time codes for skipping over spoilers, but I clearly forgot to do that this time. I think part of my problem was covering both seasons, as if I thought that Tsuu spoils the first season anyway, when it really doesn't with the in-universe "rewrites". I also occasionally handled spoilers a bit more loosely depending on how old a topic is, but now I know that's no excuse. I do apologize for bungling it here, and will make my spoiler policy a lot more strict in the future.
I have never seen Akibaranger, but I can already say that I do not like the season 2 ending
