What’s the best way to kick any meal up to another level? In Texas, it is all about the SALSA! Today I want to share with you three amazing salsa recipes that are easy to make and super delicious.
What’s really cool about these three salsa recipes is they use the same ingredients and yet they’re so different and uniquely delicious.
We’re gonna be making a sauteed salsa that we use for breakfast a lot, but it’s actually great with any meal. We’re also showing you what I call a deer camp salsa that I learned to make while hunting - and all you need to make this one is a cheese grater. And the most versatile salsa in this video is a lightly boiled salsa that we blend into magical flavors.
Alright! Let's fire it up and make some salsas!
The 2nd salsa was always a staple in my home...my Dad being the OG that he was, tatemava all the ingredients over fire and used a molcajete to grind the salsa down
.it was a labor of love...RIP Pops.
Fire roasting the ingredients takes it to the next level, love it!!! I put a little bit of honey in it this last time and I definitely recommend that as well
What does “tatemava” mean here? Is it a technique he used? I tried to research and make a similar recipe but couldn’t find anything.
Oh! It looks like Arnie has a video on it already. How cool! 😊 Vamos a cocinar pues!
Thank you for not editing out the cut on the finger. It was hilarious. I've just recently done the exact same thing.
The breakfast salsa reminds me of my Grandpa, Mama, and Tia from San Antonio, my Grandma used to cook bacon cut up, remove from pan once crisp, set aside, to the pan with some of the bacon grease add a pinch of flour, brown it, then add that salsa, bacon and simmer until desired consistency is achieved. It’s perfect over eggs and oh man we had the best breakfasts and best food memories ever! To this day we make it and I’m so grateful!!! 🥹🫶🏽
yes great memories
Thanks for sharing I'm going to have to try that now 🙂
@@codythompson759 it’s sooooo comforting 😋
Been making salsa for years but never tried using a cheese grater. Awesome tip, less to clean up. I love it.
I'm new to your channel, a cook, a fellow Texan and a salsa (and margarita) snob of sorts. Your salsas are a new type of Triple D: divine, delicious and devoured! So happy you're sharing your recipes, personality and bloopers with all of us. I really enjoy learning from you. Thank you Arnie!
Thanks and welcome
Same here. ❤️❤️😋😋😋
Holy Cow! This guy knows his salsa!!!!! Great video. Fun to watch and learn. Thanks!!!!!
Oh boy, his attitude made my day. I am Mexican and yet I wanted to find a different way to cook my salsa today. Good tips.
Just made 2nd one. Super easy. I did add about a third onion, 2 serrano's and 1 jalapeno. Wow, so good and hot. Delicious. Thanks man.
I just made the boiled salsa for dinner tonight, it’s so delicious! I just subscribed to your channel, I love your personality. Thanks so much for sharing your recipes!
My salsa combined 7 Roma tomatoes w/purple onions 5 jalapenos bash of cilantro salt & pepper dash crush garlic limes 2 cans small cans tomato sauce processed in food processor good with everything chips tacos
There's a mexican restaurant chain in south Louisiana started by a woman from Tampico, Mexico, and their salsa is the most amazing salsa I've ever had. We now live 300 miles away, and I've wanted to try to make a salsa like theirs for 5 years now. I tried your fresh kitchen salsa recipe with a onion added and Jalapeños instead of seranos, kept hot in the slow cooker. It was gone in less than an hour. Thank you thank you thank you. You've made a Cajun family very happy. I will now have a whole pot of salsa going every day. 😅
What’s the restaurant called?
Your salsas are life changing. Can't ever go back to store bought after trying out a couple of these recipes
I love the realness 😂 salsas looks delicious 🤤
2nd salsa is my fave! i also add onion to it and tomatillo. sometimes i add arbol chiles. i use an immersion blender with the cilantro. it's also a great base to add things like chipotle. if you leave out the tomatoes and just use tomatillo, then it's an awesome salsa verde. you can always blend up with avocado for a really good salsa aguacate :)
All three look good!! Definitely trying out the second and third one asap.. The second one with some good carne asada this weekend and the third one over some egg and queso fresco omelette. Can’t wait! Keep the great recipes coming man, thank you.
Roasted salsa is one of my favorites.. Got any recipes like that?? These look great!
Those are coming soon, yes
As soon as I start this video, my mouth starts watering.
Arnie your salsa dance is some of the best parts of your videos. In this post I learned the rel reason why it is red salsa, lol!
Arnie, loved the ease and simple, easily-available ingredients and directions! I add 1 tablespoon of olive oil, and I toast cumin seeds, or grind fresh cumin seeds, and a splash of fresh lime juice! Love your recipes, your channel, and much appreciate your momma and grandma for handing down their recipes to you, and you, for generously sharing them with us!
Thank you for your comments.
Nicely done!! Any salsa that makes me want to dance am all in
Looks delicious!!
Thank You for sharing with us!!
Hi Arnie, Much love from Houston Texas, me and my Son LOVE love love your channel 😘. Gods blessings sent your way!!!!!! , We love your Mommy, she is precious
Great video! I just made my first salsa using the boiling method and my wife and I couldn’t stop eating it. Thanks for making these videos!
Made the kitchen salsa for my family today (first time making home made salsa). Turned out great and everyone loved it. Super easy to make. Thank you!
Gonna try your methods. Texan here so I am used to really good salsa. I add a tsp of chili powder and a tsp of worchestershire to mine for some spice. Thank you sir!
So glad i found this channel! We're one state over to the east and cant wait to try the salsa!
Legit brother! Was looking forward to this one for a while!
Thank you for these recipes!!! I’m a Texan but currently living in Colorado. The salsas are just not the same here & I’ve been missing one of my favorite meals, Steak La Mexicana and I’m convinced that the breakfast salsa you made is what the steak would be cooked in & smothered with! I can’t wait to make it!😋
Let’s make all those again!!! I loved them all👍🏼
Looks great. I love chips and salsa.

“That one might be hot” 😂😂😂

Thank you Arnie! I love it! I miss Texas!
Big thanks for these recipes. Getting me inspired to cook again
I made the one with garlic, cilantro, onion , small green chilis and jalapenos and salt . It was delicious. Thank you.
They all look very delicious! ❤️👌🏼
Love the cheese grater
Hey Alex loved the recipes especially the deer camp recipe. So I just got that grater & bowl combo it's going to be handy in my car kitchen on those fishing & camping trips. Nothing like homemade road salsa. Thanks Alex from this Oldvato in Cali.
Great stuff, thanks so much!!!
I've got to make these! I'd pair them all with eggs in the morning. For what it's worth I love to pair serano with poblanos which I will probably do with these after I follow your recipe at least once. I'm salivating over this video.
You have to love this man!
I really love your videos thank you for sharing
Thank you for this video. This was the first video I watched on how to make salsa. Love your deer camp salsa.
i made one of your salsa tonight and everybody loved it ,thank you !!!!!
Love it I will try it thanks
I love your salsa videos! I'm here in the southeastern part of the US waiting for garden tomato season and I'm going to make ALL OF THEM! :)
Arnie, your salsa roja is delicious! Suggestion for the next video: salsa verde. Better yet, Enchiladas Verdes!
Every good cook leaves a piece of their soul, and DNA, in a dish. Great video! If I have the time I use the French concasse method to first blanch the tomatoes and deseed before cooking the second style salsa (cross hatch the skin of the Roma at the base, remove the stem on the opposite end, dunk in boiling water until you see the skin start to separate, remove from stove and plunge in ice water, the skin should peel right off, then cut and rinse out the seeds). Totally a personal preference after a lifetime of cooking in restaurants, makes a nice and smooth sauce.
Just watched the video and made some. Added lime for acid to mine. So delish. Thought about pineapple.....
I bought the OG and the WOW, they're both awesome!
Love your videos !
You Sir are appreciated!
This dude is awesome. Love the dance lol. I do the same when it's that good.
Wish you were my neighbor. Looks delicious!
Awesome stuff! i made salsa about 5 minutes after watching this!! Great recipes!!
Oh, I have to try these!
Tried the second salsa with jalapeño and a chipotle. Loved it!! Husband and kid said it was too spicy but perfect to me!
Excellent Salsas Arnie ! We got a new food processor & the skies the limit with the 2nd one ( our fav). And taking a tip from one of your other fans about trading out the red tomatoes with green tomatillos was brilliant ! Thanks again for sharing your expertise in the South Texas Tex-Mex, it’s great !
Thank you for these recipes! Ive got something to whip up tonight with my romas 🤤
You’re the man Arnie. This video is dope. Wish it was summer to I could make all these.
The deer camp one is a game changer. So easy to make

I just made the breakfast salsa, so good!
Love that breakfast salsa the most
Tex-Mex is my favorite food in TX. Love these tutorials
Your recipes makes me miss living in San Antonio so much.
Try these salsas you'll love them.
Arnie I can't wait to try these. I've been hooked on your guajillo salsa, and I've been looking for another salsa roja to add to my guajillo (the one your mom made with no seeds) salsa and my salsa verde (from your trio jalapeno/tomatillo/avocado). I'm so hooked on your salsas, all of them. Thanks for another wonderful recipe! I can't wait until I can try it with home grown tomatoes over store bought.
Love your salsa!!! All three! Thank you!!!

I started making my own chili powder on the wood fire grill about 10 years ago. Ancho chili's slivered garlic oregano and kosher salt lightly smoke toasted then ground in stages in the blender.
I can't wait to try it in these salsas!
I looooove your recipes
We always make this salsas but instead of using sertano we use chile de monte just makes it taste amazing thanks for this awesome vid ❤
