Noble can mock peasants for being stupid, unculture, and dirty bumpkin, but they don't laugh so much when he angrily comes to them with an axe. Fun fact I remember having read at least one french fencing manual of the 17h-18th century where they show how a noble with a sword should react against peasants armed with axes, flails,scythes and staff. So it seems to show that they took the danger of angry peasants more seriously than what we tend to think.
The smart ones took it more seriously then most would think, the idiots who looked down on peasants to the point of calling them stupid probably didn't.
shepards wheren't peasants in this region. We many of them where actually fresh nobles with less than fortunate luck when it comes to ground awarded by a king.

There's something awfully comedic about seeing a shepherd with a "ciupaga" beat the absolute fuck out people who look at the very least semi-competent with their weapon. Where I come from that axe has been degraded into the status of a cheap souvenir and a toy for kids. If this was released sooner (april fool's) I would never believe this would stay in the game for long.
@@Wolf-oc6tx Well, a real one? No, probably not, but having been in Carpathians every once in a while, I must say that most people haven't even seen a real one. I've seen hundreds if not thousands of fake plastic\wood ones, but only a couple real ones and rarely sharp.

With shepherd axes its a extra shame because a sharpened shepherd axe is useful not only as a weapon but as a wood cutting tool and hiking stick.

I love how in this game they don't treat axes like just giant hunks of metal that need to be swung wildly where there is nothing to be learnt either you hit them or they get hit that is what axes are in most games and i hate it they can be such elegant weapons.
this is cool! if they're fine adding a dude with an axe, wonder if they'll be willing to include other warriors with more weapon variation too! if they're willing to ignore obvious differences in time-period it would unlock even more options as well! ones i'd love to see: Ancient warrior from India: they have SOO many crazy swords and other weapons throughout their history and it would be cool to have them featured in a game! Japanese Samurai: because face it, we'd all love to see some Ronin vs. European duels Chinese Swordsman: altogether different sword-style from Japan and they got some cool blades and warriors too! Jedi Knight: Would be the BEST OP joke character ever in a game like this lol! any warrior featuring Dual Swords, or Sword + Main Gauche style of fighting Spiked and Flanged Maces, maybe even a Flail if the engine can support such a weapon! Viking: much axe and sword potential here hehehe Roman Legionary: dressed down from their armor, like a Decanus or Centurion accepting an unarmored duel. because otherwise those tower-shields would suck

Olexiy Kivak thanks for watching the video😄 I think Yendrek has a medium to high strength among the swordsmen that have appeared! However, he is at a disadvantage in close quarters because of the gap after the attack🤔 He will have a hard time with fast-moving opponents

@@DarNori_Gaming not necessarily a samurai, but perhaps a more contemporary and geographically logical fighter with a very different style and sword, you have many curved blade characters, only 2 rapier type and 2 long sword, would be nice to have a character with the same charm and elegance of Marta but with a completely different style and personality
@@marzbitenhaussen A Scottish swordsman is reportedly going to be added to the game, using a basket-hilted claymore. Another good choice would be an English cavalry/infantry officer, as the English Civil War was occurring during the time-frame of the game.

To be fair, I doubt anyone would treat a sharpened shepherd axe like a harmless toy. Also toy swords are fairly common in parts of the world.
