Great recipe! I have been doing my Nacho Dip starting with softened cream cheese, then the refried beans, mild or medium salsa, shredded cheddar or Mexican blend cheese and black olives on top. Warmed in the oven or microwave to soften and melt cheese. Can be enjoyed warm or cooled with any variety corn chips, especially the “scoops.” Sometimes I’ll add sliced jalapeños with the olives. Served with a spoon onto plates prevents a corn chip “graveyard.”

You can add 1/4 cup to 1/3 cup water & 1/2 packet of taco seasonings mix to that can of beans for extra flavor & it would make it easier to scoop with chips.
Up at 3 in the morning reminiscing about making this with my Mom as a child. Time to make it as a grown up. Sadly I’ll eat it all by myself in quarantine. 😂

Today frist time I heard about this recipe
I make one sort of like this. In large bowl { I double down, I have 3 sons, and a daughter}. layer 1} 2 cans frito bean dip. Layer 2} Guacamole dip, I use Dean"s Dip from Wal-Mart, if I don't make my own. Layer 3} Sour cream 16 oz., mixed with around 1/2 c. miracle whip and 1 pkg. taco bell taco season (I just eye-ball it) Layer 4} Chunky salsa. Layer 5} 1 small can chopped black olives. Layer 6} 1 whole bunch chopped green onion. Layer 7} Freshly grated sharp cheddar cheese. You can use already grated cheese, whatever flavor you like. Chill for an hour or so, serve with your favorite tortilla chips. It is packed with flavor!
Have you tried using Rosarita Spicy Beans? They are really good. I would also add an extra layer of cheese on the beans, along with some taco meat. It's a whole meal. 👍

Your sour cream, will spread easier, if you cream it first. Meaning, take a spoon to it, and mix it. Looser cream will spread easier.

It wouldn’t taste good heated with sour cream plus you would probably get sick if you heated the sour cream. You put in the fridge for a couple hours

Oh I'm sorry. I was always led to believe that vegetarians can have dairy and eggs and vegan's cannot eat meat, dairy or eggs. I always just went by what my vegetarian friends and family told me! lol
