Honestly, I would pay the the next moderator $1,000 if he/she could conduct just ONE panel discussion without using the shopworn & utterly meaningless term, “Unpack” (i.e., “….and, Mr. X is here to help us UNPACK the current climate”)…..
It’s seriously become like nails-on-a-blackboard every time I hear it….

Seemingly by credentials. But, from Biden down (butt down), titles don't mean much. Failing upwards thru obedience, not competence or simply selected placement. See EU political leadership n diplomacy 📉

    1. Xi Jinping has very clear , far-sighted and pragmatic mission for China's long-term development.
    2. He cautions his 56 ethnic groups that " EMPTY TALKS RUIN COUNTRY , HARD WORK PROSPERS NATION " ( 空谈误国 , 实干兴邦 ).
    3. China does not want to blow its own trumpet but prefers to " LET FACTS SPEAK OUT " ( 让事实说话 ).
    4. China always maintains low profile , including its military strength , so as to minimize foreign countries' jealousy and condemns. It has good grasp of Sunzi's military classic " The Arts of War " ( 孙子兵法 ).
    5. Take China's space exploration as an example. The team has 300,000 talents devoting to this arena.

@TG Jiang Tibetans, Uyghurs and Mongolians are not ethnic groups, we are Independent countries before the ruthless occupation by Chinese Communist Party. In case of Tibet, we had our own national flag, our own currency, our own language, culture, religion and postal system before 1950. China will break up into 56 pieces and you remain behind the great wall of China away from the barbarians.

….Are we talking about the SAME China?? (The one that constantly bullies its neighbors, the one “blowing its horn” so loudly that even its former “friends” have entered military alliances against it, the one whose military leaders are so corrupt that China’s one, barely-functioning aircraft carrier has large cracks in its flight deck-due to cheap steel being substituted for high-grade steel)??…..THAT China?

@@x0718 Your father CCP told you that. You cannot rewrite history. Uyghurs, Tibetans and Southern Mongolia are all free and Independent countries before the occupation by the CCP in 1950. China is the land east of the great wall of China. Why did the Chinese emperors built these wall to protect China from? The great wall of China is the proof that lands west of the great wall of China are Independent countries.

i hope he is taking china to pre-emenince in foreign affairs, commerce and cultural development. it appears he may succeed, certainly the malevolence of the usa is an obstacle, but the low quality of usa rulers insures they will be overcome.
unless they create general war. then, no one wins.
chinese leaders have been of mixed quality, but between them, they have propelled china to the front rank of human society.
and done it in a miraculous period of time.
this demonstrates what is possible to humanity, given effective leadership.
in the same period, the perfotmance of the usg should be the shame of the nation.
but, of course, the 'leadership' of the nation cares nothing for its people. not even the care a grazier will give his cattle. nope, 'freedom' is the watchword, and disgraceful poverty is rhe result.
