the expression she has before she bows for "manon" (at the end of this clip) is just priceless. How she breaks out into a giant grateful smile just showed so much passion and joy, to me. I want to watch her dance forever, I can never tire of watching - be it her classical work or her contemporary work, it is always just stunning.
Don't understand how anyone could ever have called her a "robot"--perhaps someone watching with the sound off. To my eye she is so technically consistently exquisite one must have both and eye AND ear for the subtleties of musicality to appreciate the intelligence and emotional investment informing her interpretation. I trained as an actor. Guillem's acting ability has mostly been down played due to her technical prowess. But this is by uneducated witnesses. What one must remember is that Guillem's develope a la seconde is irrefutable. If she scants the full extension, falters on her standing leg, cheats her turnout, it MEANS something. It tells part of the story. We can't most of us BE dancers, even in our fondest fantasies. But we CAN all learn from Mdm Guillem that HOW WE MOVE HAS MEANING.
Yes! She is priceless! Not only outstanding ballerina, but an actress too! Talent and most of all sense of humor!
No puede ser mas Maravillosa!!!!!!Tiene un dominio en la danza poco visto!!Chapeau por Silvie!!!!
Une altète de haut niveau qui a fait de son corps, de son art, une prouesse : un ange descendu du ciel.
Merci

La plus grande probablement ! Unique !
Sylvie had an unsurpassed assertive style of dancing. She can be compared with Plisetskaya to some extent.
Does anyone know what ballet it is at 1:01 ?

it must be wonderous to have a body that can do everything you want it to ...like hers :)
Ah, wigs. So much fun to wear. Though you forget about how itchy they are by the time you go on stage.
She's not angry, she is just under an incredible amount of pressure. Someone need to translate 3:51-3:57. Looks like some bad news.
"Dramatically you did it.. It was tremendous" that's what Ghislaine Thesmar tells her.
Ne m'dis pas ce qui était bien Guislaine! lol.

sylvie is bunette by nature. she changed her hair style to the iconic style first during in the middle of something elevated.
