  • They say expect anything while in Scotland, this place didn't disappoint!
    I plan on wild camping in all 15 of the UK's national parks, this time it was Loch Lomond & the Trossachs; 14 down 1 to go.

    Pretty much every Scottish person will have a memory away camping next to a river with a wee fire going having a drink with friends. Never knew you weren’t allowed to wild camp in England makes me appreciate it more. Every time we get good weather people always head out with a tent

  • @abioakley401

    Wild camping is generally legal in Scotland but in Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park there is a local byelaw banning it in some areas (camping management zones) from 1st March to 30th September each year - you have to be in a campsite or camping permit area in these bits of the park. Worth mentioning if anyone wants to come and not risk being moved on/fined.

    • @fredcalvert7368
      @fredcalvert7368 Рік тому

      Are you free to camp anywhere outside of these management zones?

    • @abioakley401
      @abioakley401 Рік тому

      @@fredcalvert7368 yes I think so, and you can camp in the management zones too, you just need to check where exactly it's allowed and get a permit from the website

    What an incredible content creator. The quality is exceptional. The best compliment I can give is the subject matter would normally be of no interest to me, yet I am watching back through every video on the channel and I love it 😊

      Agreed, he takes the most difficult road for a content creator which is he focuses on the landscape which is what the viewers really want to see rather than satisfying his own ego and droning on inanely about nothing. He lets the pictures do the talking.

      the advice I can give you is just this my friend. DO IT AND DONT LOOK BACK, I'm not suffering depression but I have very bad health anxiety which I take medication for. just do it pal and breathe that air and take in the sights. its well known that the outdoors and good scenery is great for treating depression and anxiety. The hardest part is getting out of bed man, been there and it's terrible. how did your depression come about if you don't mind me asking? and what medication do you take, if any. chin up mate you'll get through.

    You can’t beat Scotland, one of only two places in the UK that you can legally pitch up a tent almost anywhere you please, the other being Dartmoor.. in fact, even our very own Lake District you can as well - as long as your up on the Fells, and that’s exactly where I’ll heading next, for my next 3-4 night adventure!..😎

    Be great if you are, as I’m planning another multi-night trip up to there in September.

If you love shortbread, I recommend Crystal's shortbread - it's the absolute best. You're best having a sauce with haggis, and mashing the neeps if you can! I'm actually glad you didn't camp along the loch - there's camping byelaws in effect along the eastern shore of the Loch throughout summer so you either need a permit or to stay at a designated campsite.
