I'm planning on making another video where I explore even more of Belgrade. Let me know what places you'd like to see in Belgrade :)
U must go to Avala Tower, and right beside the Tower is very big memorial black granit pyramid and to the west is "Beli dvor" also a Royal palace witch you can visit but go to the Tower if you dont have time for the palace and/or the big monument. Thank me later 😁
I just got to Belgrade also love it so much!
That’s awesome! Belgrade is amazing, so much to do and see. The food is also really delicious!
Chris, if you ever need a stay or a tour contact me. Cheers from Belgrade
Kosovo and Metohija Is Serbia remember that and respect!!!
No it's not serbia and it will never become a part of serbia.
@@asterixx6878 The attack of the NATO pact on the sovereign country of Serbia and the seizure of Kosovo and Metohija from the heart of Serbia and the Serbian people, violated international law! it is the Serbian heart, remember that for all times while it is holy !!!
Kosovo was not a country in Yugoslavia. Kosovo was Serbian province created by the communists after the world war two, which was separated from Serbia in 1999. Historically, it never existed before communists.
yes it did

Kosovo is not part of Yugoslavia as other countrys.... Kosovo was part of Serbia as "Autonomous Province of Kosovo and Metohija". Today is the same thing, Kosovo is not part of United nations, its just Serbian provice trying to make independence but that's not gonna happen.
how is it not part of Yugoslavia when it is in Serbia?
@@mifftiosan because Yugoslavia fell apart, Tito butchered Serbia by making 2 autonomic provinces, and with the great help from the others Albanians can do what they do..... I admire your sense of humour
Kosovo IS independent, no matter what you fantasize.
You made a huge mistake. Kosovo and Metohija is province in Serbia, so dont be ignorant and google before you vlog. Cheers from a born Belgradian
If Kosovo is Serbian "province" (as you falsely state), then how on Earth the President of Serbia cannot visit Kosovo ad libitum? Who cares if you are born "Belgradian" (sic!) as long as you are a liar? Shame on you! You don't even know what's the right English phrase for a person who was born in Belgrade. Horses for courses.

Bonjour, merci pour le reportage sur la Serbie.
J'aime beaucoup la Serbie mais j'aime pas les politiciens serbes 😀 Le Kosovo c'est la Serbie 🇷🇸 💒
One of the biggest problems with Belgrade is graffiti vandalism. It's amazing how nobody gets punished for doing so.
Edit: Good video, and also you're pretty well informed for a foreigner. Cheers
Thank you, glad you enjoyed the video!
Najmanji problem ako je uopšte i problem.
Giving feeling to be in Europe but still in the Balkan?! Serbia is Europe,Sava and Dunabe river split central Europe and Western Balkans. Geography had not much to do,Serbia is more Europe than some EU countries, but that's another story, politic one.Sorry my Mexican border English, welcome to Serbia.
Thank you! I meant more in terms of architecture and design of the city but you’re right, it is Europe after all :)
@@NomAdventurers Serbia was over 40 ys in socialism, that's why you can see those strange buildings.War in 1992-2000 didn't help much, economy was distroyed and just in few years we start to recover. Welcome to Belgrade 😄we've been living there for about a month and we had an amazing time! Really recommend you checkout Novi Sad and Niš too!

Serbia is beautiful! It is open. Been here almost a month.
That modern building at 13:00 is 50 years old
That’s amazing, such a modern building that was built so long ago!
@@NomAdventurers Yes ..it was first "smart building" in this part off europe..it had centralized computer that could operated whole building automatically ..like blinds could open or close by them self depend off wind or sunlight ,elevators are like still fastest in Belgrade ..during communism on the top flours there was restaurant and disco club and on bottom flours was "Robne kuce Beograd" which was largest supermarket chain in former Yugoslavia and 3th largest in europe at that times
That’s pretty cool!
Apart from being a Balkan city, Belgrade is also a Central European City. Danube and Sava rivers makes a natural border between these two geographical regions of Europe.
That’s true, Belgrade is in fact a Central European city. A beautiful one as well :)
@@NomAdventurers Agree with you. Besides, video is fantastic. Best Regards
Thank you!
For everyone commenting about Kosovo: What I meant to say was that the territory of the former Yugoslavia today it is a part of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Kosovo (disputed territory), Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia and Slovenia. No need for negativity and hate, just enjoy the tour of Belgrade :)
You have to understand that Kosovo is a raw, unhealed, still bleeding wound of the Serbian people. This is probably the ONLY topic in Serbia you should be tiptoeing around gingerly. Everything else is subject to debate, relativism, humor and jokes -- but not Kosovo. Where Kosovo begins, Serbian sense of humor ends. Please don't feel slighted, this is not a hate or negativity, and it most certainly isn't aimed at you. Otherwise, a lovely report from our capital, for which we are all thankful. Enjoy!
Balkan is the cradle of European civilization. Balkan is the most beautiful part of Europe as well. Adriatic, Aegean, Black Sea, thousands of lakes, ancient forests, slopes, great rivers, Morava, Danube, Sava, Drina, Vardar....The most beautiful people, the tallest in the world.
The Balkans is quite an amazing place
Great video bro! If you have a chance go to the flea market. There's one in Novi Beograd and other one in Zemun. You should check Gardoš in Zemun, too. Also, now is a good moment to visit Košutnjak, because is autumn and the leaves are changing colors. Ada Ciganlija is also nice. So many places... I miss Belgrade. :( Enjoy your time there!
Thank you, glad you enjoyed the video! I’ll definitely add those to my list of places to visit while I’m here in Serbia. Thanks for the recommendations :)
Yes there are green markets all over the city, there are several in the city center - Kalenić, Bajlonijeva, Zeleni Venac, Palilulska pijaca (that one was renovated recently, it's indoors now, it's maybe 500 m from the Parliament building).
That area at 12:05 is mostly full of government buildings, of course there are other companies headquarters there, actually the biggest corporate center of Belgrade is across river in New Belgrade, that is a business hub of Belgrade.
You are right about how Belgrade is not that centralized (but i think that is common thing in European cities), since basically every neighborhood is like city within a city, people can basically live their daily life without a need to go to city center or outside their area, you have shops, restauurants, cafes, green market, parks, sports, shopping malls etc. in every one of those so it's all within a walking distance and u actually can live freely without ever using a car, that can't be said about US.
As for ur comment at 26:25, Belgrade is in the middle of Europe, same as Balkan, people outside of Europe have misconception that Balkans are somewhere East but it never had anything with Eastern Europe, Serbia is in every way Central and Southern European country. Just enter Google maps and see.
That guy at 28:13 is one i hate the most, he is abusing that space and many times he abuse other people passing by since he is not even paying attention to people passing by with that tennis racket, i think he is not even legally there. All vendors in that street must pay big money to get their spot there, but there are always those that just show up and escape when they see communal police.
There are also big park on the other side of Sava river (New Belgrade) just across Kalemegdan park and fortress, it's also massive but without fortress :) There are plans to build pedestrian bridge to basically connect them, since City Gov wanted to build cable gondola from Kalemegdan fortress across river to that park but people (and experts) refused since it would destroy old fortress walls so it's for now abandoned. Museum of Contemporary Arts is located in that park, u should definitely check out that museum if u still did not.
Yes there are Danube boat tours, it's actually very massive thing, that area behind you at 32:35 is actually international terminal for big river boats and in normal non covid time is filled with big long boats (basically river cruisers) from different European countries along Danube coming downstream here and going further to Black Sea. Also that whole section by the river was just finished with renovation recently.
You have also long stretch of river promenade in other direction u were going, around Kalemegdan fortress and by the Danube.
Sorry if it's too long, i write as i watcg video. I like that you'r doing longer vids.
Thank you for watching my video and also thank you for the information on Belgrade. I still have a lot more to explore in Belgrade, stay tuned for a part 2 of my Exploring Belgrade video!

No problem.
I'll my best.
As far as i know, some member countries of EU have lock down. In some other countries there are areas Which are locked down.
FROM next week schools and i think unies should be closed. Not only Because of covid19 but also Because of some national holiday, so they combined them.
I think that during the day Will be Normal (with masks) but not more than 5 people schould be close. Either outside or inside. How this schould work - i do not know.
There are no infos about public transport yet.
Any way, masks are obligatory but as You can imagine, some people do not follow the rules.
At the airport, there is a bus Which drives almost to the city center. I think it costs abou 2-3€.
Taxi might cost about 20-25€
HAVE a look at the map and think about how You Will get to you destination if You do not have anyone to pick You up from the airport. Also, have a look When is the planes arrival. If after 11pm and Before, i guess 6am, Then You might have to take a taxi
Ps
About cuttency, i am not sure if they appreciate foreigm cuttency but for a start, at te airport You can exchange... I do not know, maybe a couple of hundred $ or €, what ever You are trawelling with. In the city center there many small exchange office Just like in south asian countis.
The value:
1 € = about 117 serbian dinars
Dinar is the name of serbian curremvy

Food is very clean in Serbia. Portions are big too. You won't go hungry whereas you'd need 4 takeout sandwiches in a Western country to feel full lol.
I do really like Serbian food, it’s very filling indeed.
e da oh yes 😋😋😋
It's sad to see so few tourists due to Corona. This time last year Knez Mihailova St., Kalemegdan and Sava waterfront, for instance, were teeming with them. Belgraders would be taking the side streets to avoid crowds.
I can imagine how many tourists there usually are in Belgrade, especially with all those cruise ships that used to stop here. Hopefully everything goes back to normal soon!
Enjoy Serbia
Thank you!

Vracar is a great neighborhood!

@@NomAdventurers heck yea man def. Best food in bosnia lol peace bro.
Why are you speaking like Balkans region isn't in Europe? You said that you have filling like you are in Central Europe but you obviesly don't know officily all part of northern Serbia up north of Belgrade geograficly belongs to Central Europe, and down under Belgrade due south belongs to Southeast Europe or Balkan peninsula.
Meant more along the lines of the Balkans being different in terms of culture and architecture than say Western and Eastern Europe. Still Europe but the Balkans, especially Serbia, definitely has influence from other regions in Europe historically. You can see that in a lot of the architecture throughout Serbia.
I love your videos, glad to see the Zastava 101 are extinct in Belgrade but still leark in the countryside(inside joke).
Glad you like them!
28:20, yeap, it's pretty normal. 😅
Serbian is central place in the world!!!💯😀
You pronounce Russian phrases very clearly !!! I thought you are Russian speaking
Hello, I follow your videos, I like them, they are well made, there is only one thing that I must tell you with all due respect, the people who live in the US are not "American" because the name of your country is not America, you are Americans because they live In America (the continent), in America there are many countries, in most of them they speak Spanish, the citizens of all the countries of the American continent can call themselves "Americans", but you should change that from "an American ..." unless you are speaking on behalf of all the people of the continent.
This is a cool video, but I think I'm like a lot of people and want to actually know more about how to even enter Serbia from another EU country or the U.S.
Thanks! I wouldn’t really know, been in the Balkans for almost 6 months now. Especially with things changing every day/week with regards to entering. Most of those videos become outdated quickly since the rules change so frequently.
@@NomAdventurers there r so very few of them and almost none are about the balkans. Except Croatia. Thats it

Wouldn t call belgrade or serbia central europe.
Belgrade is fascinating town...great for travelers...alot to see and do.
It is that as great as it is because it was capital of yugoslavia which was very centralistic....so they invested all the money croatia made to belgrade.
That is why croatia has a better life standard today even though it s much smaller and was destroyed and pillaged during their occupation war.
P.s. expect alot of hate comments from nationalistic..uneducated...agressive and subjective serbs because of this comment
But one has to know history...laws...demographics...economy to be objective
P.P.s i agree with all the serbian comments on kosovo. It was and is their province. There is no law or historical context that gives kosovo the right to independance. Only a majority in a referendum in whole of serbia could give them that
14:30 hehe, don´t be affraid of saying "Kingdom of Serbia", kingdom of Yugoslavia was made from the Kigdom of Serbia, plus liberated South-Slavic lands from Austro-Hungary, thus Kingdom of Serbia exsted from 1878 to 1918, then Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes (from 1918 to 1929) and in 1929 the king declared Kingdom of Yugoslavia as Yugoslavia already was used for the kingdom unformally, and existed from 1929 to 1943. In 1943 Allies switch alliences from monarchic Chetniks to communst Partisans, and SFR Yugoslavia is made, which existed till 1992. Then during communsts, Serbs got shrnked with their land to current state of affairs, which is very unjust cause almost half of Serbs live around in Serbian historical lands whch ended given to those other surrounding countries.... but we are kind of OK, or not, depends on the mood :D
Not Kosovo!
