I think every song they write has the energy of two people who are secretly, passionately in love with each other, but they are both married to other people, so they go on acting as if they're friends, and there is this dormant volcano just waiting to explode everyone's life.
I just finished watching this. They are so talented and so young. Oliver said they have been together with the writing and music since they were 15 or 16 years old. Wonderful to see them evolve and grow...and to think they actually use their personal relationships for all their songs..very smooth very cool..very organic and natural. I'm so glad I saw them on SNL in Nov.2016 and to think they've been around all this time and I'm just now getting into them...They are mesmerizing, the combination of swaying smooth Rhythms and rich deep and haunting voices...sometimes a whisper, other times, intense and deeply low. Wonderful!
This is my favorite band. What is fenomenal about this band is that their song can mesmerize and completely cover us with the emotion it is radiating. Their first song I heard was Intro, and what a fenomenal song it is. Since then, I am listening to The XX on a regular basis and I never get bored.

And to think that when they 1st posted one of their best songs on here , that they were bagged the shit out of them, even so much as making fun of the female's "Overbite" I hope that they are eating their words now. I reported as many as i could, but they were quite relentless. Why don't some ppl embrace hearing something new ?? I am fully supportive of this band for sticking with it.
