I actually really love the berry color with the blues. I feel like it makes the blues a little bit more wearable. I wasn’t going to pick up the blue at first, but I think I will. It makes brown eyes pop :)

Hi dear Morgan, you look amazing as always, wow these shades look so pretty on you!!!🤩🤩🤩🤩Most important was your explanation of the formula of course. Born in 1970, living in The Netherlands, and been bored by this type of formula enough......i was so happy they CAN make eyeshadow there since the last 2 years, but that is only my opinion. Mature eyes or not, i want more impact. And they showed us the last 2 years that they can deliver that to us. But it's also what people prefer, it's just an opinion of me. What i love Morgan, that now we have internet, we have UA-cam, we can see a wonderful explanation from a very talented MUA (you are!!!) before we decide to buy, so that is so much progress compared to the (early) 90's!!! For me a no of course, but looks fantastic on you, you can make EVERY palette work!!! Thanks, and have a wonderful day!!!😘😘😘😘
I’ve had this palette a week and I love it. The satins from their permanent line were a little too heavy for me to wear every day and I was getting bored of my go-to neutral look so this velvet formula really hit the mark. I already ordered the coral palette. You probably shouldn’t use more than 2 or 3 shades at once because you’ll be tempted to overblend which will cause issues :)

Hi Morgan! I really enjoy your channel. I am an aged 50’s gal, so usually I just lurk lol. Truly never comment. But I picked up the pink toned quad and I actually loved it! Apparently enough to comment here. It glided on like a dream, very velvety texture, and the shimmer shade was, well, elegant. Just thought I’d share!
Morgan, I use the Patrick ta lighter cream shade from Dimension 2 palette as a base with this palette, and it looked pretty.
Cute eye look! I'll probably pass on this palette because I brought Dior's Denim palette last year. But I do love the color story. I think I'd like the Velvet eye shadow look on me.

This is a beautiful pallete. I love blue colors and greens too. I would like to ask you if you have the Christian Dior denim palette. I own it and is very pigmented. I would be very interested to see some looks created by you with this palette.

I’m not into luxury shadows, I like my pigments and whatnot. But honeyyy you should wear blue more often. Look at how gorgeous your eyes look in the end 😍😍😍😍
I love Dior for lip products, but the quints I've gotten have been more miss than hit. Which is why the Denim palette has been on my wishlist forever without me actually buying it. When I got the email for this launch, though, I bought it so quickly. I know the formulas differ, but I'm hoping it will appease the makeup goblin inside me that wants a blue Dior quint so that I can stop longing for Denim. And if I like this one then I'm just going to go ahead & get the other because I can really see them playing together nicely.
I got 2 pallets I got the one you and also the orange one. They look better in person. Also if anyone ask the lavender pallet is very different from Dior denim pallete.
The formula wasn't the best but not bad either and I am in love with the colors! They are interesting without crying for attention.

Sorry but this is a no for me, from what I can see it doesn't look really good on the eyes either, it's not just swatches. I mean, as much as I understood about high cost brands; they're typically sheer but easy to blend and get a pretty soft look, still this palette isn't easy to work overall and I think it looked nice only after putting eyeliner and eyelashes (should this kind of formula look nice only this way? I don't think so). Just my thought, I'm not exactly qualified to say if it's a good launch or not. By the way, your looks always look nice ahah, but of course not everyone is as good as you! I think though Dior has a beautiful sutil formula and pretty color stories to my taste . This look is beautiful as well :) however I would maybe wait to see if this collection arrives to Sephora or Douglas and then getting it with discount.
@@1tagardina612 Yeah, Morgan looks stunning but she's really good tho. Like I don't think I would get a nice structured look with those eyeshadows (so not talking about using one eyeshadow), I don't even use false lashes and rarely do eyeliner. Anyway it was just a general thought, and of course getting it on discount isn't a bad thing at all, just the full price isn't worth it from what I could see in video

Hey Morgan, I have to say that I think you should do a little more blue looks cause they look so pretty on you. I just love those blue shades with your eye color. I was looking at those quads. But I know it’s Dior and she’s pricey and all. But 5 shades for $62 dollars and it only has a few month’s shelf life, that’s crazy. And with all that I’m still thinking about messing up my low buy No buy to get one of those quads. Thanks for sharing your thoughts & creating a look for us. Till the next video have a great night.

Argh. I wish you had picked up Nude dentelle. It's the only one I'm considering. Dior quints have really confused me. I adore the Soft cashmere and nude look, all of the others have applied weird on my lids

I like this quint but I'm not loving it. Maybe I would likeci more of only 3 shades were used - I dunno 🤷♀️. I think the shadows look better in the palette than they do on the eyes - and you created a stunning look!!
I bought the Bayadère quint and I'm so confused about it. The outside packaging is the same as the velvet palettes (soft velvet like feel) but the actual palette itself is the usual shiny plastic 🥴. Very much confused. Com. 🤔

I will always have a soft spot for Dior since my mom worked at the Dior makeup counter when I was in high school (too many years ago now). It was my first luxury brand because she would bring home samples for my little sister and I to try.

Yikes why would this only be good for 6months? The money you spend and time making it is a let down for shelf life! Save your money it’s costly !and not good formula it looks like
hmmm, I recently saw a quad from Clinique..not exactly same shade tones, but blue-ish...they changed their formula and is real improvement.
Maybe check it out?? Just a thought.

They write 6 months to make ppl repurchase a palette. Don’t worry you won’t have to throw it away after 6 months.
I typically wouldn’t gravitate towards this color story. I actually prefer it in a sheer formula. If it had a ton of pigment, I would feel like an extra on a 70s sitcom.

Here’s my thing. If colourpop had this payoff and lack of pigment they would be dragged. I know that Dior and Charlotte tilbury are for the people that want a wash of color and ease of use but it just seems lackluster. But also take into account that I am someone that budgets for eyeshadow and wants the most bang out of my buck. I love luxury make up but I just don’t think the value is there.
I don't think Charlotte Tilbury should be lumped together with Dior, especially her larger palettes and the more recent quads have a beautiful formula and great color payoff. This Dior palette is on par with like, those drugstore eyeshadow quads that haven't changed design in like 10 years and look chalky and you wonder who is even buying them. It's insane that "luxury" brands get away with garbage like this all the time, and people are hesitant to call them out for it because they don't want to feel like they got duped into buying something terrible.
HOW DID EVERYBODY GET THIS PALETTE, & nobody I know in Central Europe even saw the it⁉️

I expected more pigmented shades… I have already 14 Dior pallets. But I am not very satisfied with Velvet Blue. Nice, but it doesn’t worth 277 dirhams…

Looking at this pallet on the surface, it is beautiful but it just doesn’t seem worth it at $62.

First, I love your channel and your videos. Your reviews, both positive and negative are so helpful. In this particular review, I loved the product. But: I couldn't concentrate on the look, because I found your eyebrows to be super distracting. They looked odd. Did you recently get a microblade?
Honestly, I keep wanting to try one of the Dior quints, and then I see videos like this and I think I'd be crazy to waste $62 on one. Like, these shadows are a joke. Terrible pigmentation and they look so muddy on your eyes. AND you said that it's typical of Dior to have cheap feeling packaging. 🙄 I mean seriously, these shadows probably cost them like $2 to make and the other $60 is just us paying for a name. Well I don't really want a name that is just bad quality all around so...?
Soft Cashmere in the permanent line is great. Pigmented and not muddy with beautiful shimmers.
You managed to make a patchy palette work. I will definitely pass on this.
I'm not impressed, the color story reminds me of the Colourpop Baroque palette and I have that and it is so smooth. I don't know about spending all the money on this...
Dior...trash...we have so many...SO many good palettes around...we don't need to waste our money on those.
Once again... Dior is not sophisticated or luxury is just trash....decent for that price is not enough. If you want sophisticated buy Viseart or any other Indy great palette.
