Yes, this watch epitomises the 1970s. Big, loud, colourful and funky. I grew up in the 70s, so I may get this watch as a reminder of a bygone era. Good video, sir!
Owned one of these for a while! Got lots of comments on it, in the end sold it to a friend that loved it more than I did, though I enjoyed my time with this extremely funky watch :)
Something about early ORIENT's, and this is a beauty... really enjoyed the video my friend, I feel I'm living the 70's again :) I'm surprised how conception works on some cases that look big yet wear small and this is jumbo from the intro. It reminds me of an electronic game that had four colour pushers that you had to remember the patterns of sequence called 'SIMON' Cheers for sharing and a Jumbo thumbs from me as always :)

Oh man, when you dive into vintage watches you are 110% yourself! Btw, wear this around Christmas time, you'll feel 110% plus +++ !!!! PS Even the indices have something of a christmas figure (soldier drummer, angels, etc etc). Season's must mate, enjoy!

But I think it's too flashy for me, as well as it's a vintage watch (might have some problems, like old unserviced movement, brittle acrylic). Besides, it only has 50 m WR - so much for the Sea King LMAO
Actually, in my view this design seems quite modern, like it is intended for persons who wish to look funky and even for ladies who prefer oversized watches.

Yes. It is supposed to. As the deeper you go, the colours should disappear one by one. But I tried it on my dive, it didn’t work. I only tried once as the watch is quite old and I don’t want to push it.

I am also looking at acquiring some other Poljot watches too. Now, I have become fascinated by this Orient Sea King Jumbo watch because of your video and may have to buy it! What?! Thats insane! Im guessing they disappear at certain depths cause of the reduction of light?

Depending on the year of the sea king, some do come with much thinner hands, they vary from year to year.

I got a *really* fake one of those from an eBay seller in Vietnam. Not the worst experience - refund was instant. Even my dodgy one looks good.

1 thing I’ve experienced, is that funky watches don’t stay long in my collection, the funkiness changes to, what was I thinking.
they have only 50m water resistance so only dive style watch. not a diver
I would not put any vintage watches anywhere near water. Even if it is a diver's watch. Learnt my lesson the hard way!
