How I Handstitch Leather | Sewing a Phone Wallet Case

Welcome to another video! Here I am stitching by hand a smartphone case I designed to contain notes and cards too, so you can basically leave your usual wallet at home and bring everything you need in an all in one custom case.
To speed up the hand stitching process it would be very useful to have a stitching pony or stitching clamps, but I don't have any of them yet. So, as you can see in the video, it is possible without. Sometimes I hold the leather in an old vise or between the legs to keep it steady and sew faster.
As usual I used vegetable tanned leather and I've hand dyed the external part leaving the inside in its natural color.
This model hosts 5 cards, notes and bills in the two vertical compartments and obviously your smartphone.
The case I used is made of silicon, so it is easy to pierce with stitching chisels and sew it onto leather.
I used two different thread, just to have fun, the white one is a no brand waxed and flat poliester thread (1mm) while the other one is a rounded linen thread by Fil Au Chinois (432 size, which is around 0.63mm) and it comes in tons of beautiful colors, this one is 863 Duck.
