Probably my favorite addition not many really speak of is more furniture spawns in chests. I'm a sucker for decking my PVE bases out and making them super immersive, so displaying some of these finds as "trophies" will be super sick and add to the lore of my playthroughs.
There was some discussion about moving treasure on mounts in the Chapter 1 stream, but no sign of it yet. I definitely wouldn't mind carts, though I can imagine they'd be very buggy for a while
Allowing more prosperous clans to leverage their assets to make life easier would probably be more fitting. Like a palenquin or something that needs two thralls to operate.
@@steezwts9093 I did find a couple of interactables. There were one or two in New Asagarth, but given that I only tested a few locations, there will probably be plenty more dotted around
The traps in black keep is something i remembered from early access and then they removed it, if they are back also in the stairways i welcome it, was cool.
I swear this is rapidly becoming the best survival game out there. It sort of feels like Valheim was successful enough to remind Funcom what they really had.
these are very welcomed changes since it encourages interacting with the camps and npcs even in the early game instead of just spending hours to grind stone and iron and build your base. it gives a lot more things to do and tbh combat is just more interactive and fun that swinging your tool for hours
We had traps in the Black Keep in the beginning, but people there whining about they were too hard and unfair and shit, so they removed them -.- Very happy to see they bring them back! Also, I love the revamp of the loot and legendary chest moved to the dungeons. Overall, that are some very good changes. I just wished they would adapt the bazaar prices so that I can support Conan again financially. Not that I don't have enough money to buy it, I just don't see why I should pay 6$ for one brazier or 10$ for 10 Building pieces. 🤦♀
Right now my biggest problem is when age of war came out the loot drop for world bosses seemed to decrease even more then they already have been for certain items. Me and my clan mates farmed the red mother for weeks and only got one blade of the 7 winds to drop, 2 reach of the red mother, 1 torch, the only benefit to the time spent farming her was the frags of power. With the changes to repair legendary armour it's disheartening that some of the better legendaries are now dropping at very poor rates. Grand master repair kits are almost useless drops as they repair the same things that the master repair kits do.
Whoa, now looting has sense 👏 sincerely the only dungeon worth clearing multiple times before this new chapter was the wine cellar, now is different, I appreciate the fact that funcom is still believing in this game and keeps working on it, and If they even remove the bugs should be even better. 😁
@@davidlivermore6431 There are, I believe they're in the Battle Pass, from what we saw in the dev stream. I'm not too sure how that will work though, given the placeables aren't craftable, unless they're decorations that also count as treasure like Serpentman Statues
aside from the dungeon, these loot tables are almost the exact same as they were before? like theres a handful of new food items dropped, but all in all it looks like its all the same of what I'm getting already on a vanilla server I play on. the only exception seems to be the black keeps loot pool.
sounds good. however regarding the dismantling bench..... can you now double click and it goes into the top slots? as this changed some time ago and is so tedious. the same goes for putting thralls into workstations. you now have to place instead of double click?
I think they should do RNG loot, so you want to check every weapon, every piece of armor as it might have better ac, stats, etc. Or add the potential, albeit rare, of masterwork gear or certain gear that might be dismantled into a lot of material.
I highly recommend NOT taking a drink every time Erad says “loot”. LOL I tease. :-) Seriously though, the new loot rework is great and finally makes sense. New players and those on freshly-wiped non-official servers will find this useful. The amount of raw materials you got from dismantling unwanted items from NA was impressive.
Scripting really be like that sometimes 😩 Shoulda spiced it up with a bit of "plunder" 😂 I am a big fan of this rework so far, I think it'll definitely make PvE combat overall much more rewarding
Do you find the sorcerer build still viable…I have been having trouble getting back into Conan since the combat changes … I loved my 20 grit sorc traversing the map from the legs of a giant bat to drop down near a group of enemies to cause havoc… now I feel like a out of shape asthmatic…3 swings and need a brief rest …feeling restricted to daggers just to finish a full combo seems to really take the fun out of the game for me
Loot in dungeons is largely things I skip, their tables need rework. While I support the legendary chest changes, regular drops within dungeons are completely lackluster, the only reason to visit them at all is to get the recipes. Its a pity that they don't have a specific kind of thrall, or thrall itemization (including for pets) that can be collected from the dungeons. It doesn't have to be more powerful, just a unique look and on par with named T4 thralls would be motivation enough.
Unique loot in dungeons is something that I think would be fitting, same with thralls. These changes are a good step, but yeah I think dungeons could be made a bit more unique
What do you think about how broken the new purge is at the moment? I know it’s early release right now but the things I’ve seen so far from content creators is alarming. Hopefully they get it fixed by the time it releases.
The spawning is definitely an issue, as is the glitched treasure chest and the unenthrallable NPC's, but I think it's actually really good. I've already got a video scheduled for Wednesday that fleshes out my thoughts a bit more, but the core of it is rock solid, and some of the best fun I've had in Conan in a while
Are we unable to pick up Large Treasures after placing them in a coffer? I would like to move from one Coffer to another, but when I pick them up, I can't place them again.
The server list looks fine for me on PC, especially if I filter by players. Do you have any restrictions selected that might impede your ability to see certain servers?
It's hard to say without specifically testing it from that angle, but it should definitely help with the early grind, alongside getting gear and stuff to eat that isn't just bugs and grubs
@@Eradicati0nn I see. I feel like that's been the biggest obstacle for me actually getting into the game. It seems like you have to do so much before you can get to the fun stuff like actually exploring.
When you say rework I panic. A good part of my grind loop is robbing bearers from the corners of camps..I'll be sad if this changes. Gives that theif/ hitokiri from for honor vibe I like to rock early game a reason. But if we're just talking dungeons and bosses I'm much less concerned.
Eradication, I'm interested in your thoughts regarding the 'hardness' of Conan. The recent changes IMHO have softened the difficult a bit, made the loot easier to obtain, but if you recall we've had a long history of similar gentle softening actions. I'm asking because a week ago I started a Siptah game on SP. As a PVP'er for the past few years I decided to setup a PVE styled base and resisted any of the usual 'walling in' techniques I would usually use. IN short, by the end of a week of evenings only I had a huge base about two dozen T4's and a entire chest of star metal bars and probably 5000 gold bars in the treasure chest. All vaults, and a chest of legendary weapons. This was on barbaric. I did die a few times in the early levels. I used a convergence trap to kick off a purge early and put them all on wheels... and now I'm virtually unbeatable. I do understand that this is a video about improving loot... but it got to me. The game is giving the good stuff away even more than before... and it wasn't even hard to start with. I looked over the new purge mechanics and they appear to be barely changed. As a PVP'er I looked forward to the game pushing back... but I think If I launched a frontal assault on the new purge it would not stand up. A few barrage treb rounds, and mask up the troops with gas orbs and I probably won't even need to fight. I want the assaults to be terrifying. They builf a FOB out of T3, while heavily guarded. Build up 2,3,6 FOB's all out of build parts. Hitting me from different directions. Enemies dropping on the roof via bat, lightning storms, golums pounding the walls, even if possible npc's that path up walls (perhaps later). Enemy sorcerers, that use offensive attacks, cash darkness on the area so you can't even see the attack directions, sappers using actual jars\powder to take out build parts. Imagine that the sun goes dark and flaming trebs raining down as the T4 start cutting up your troops, explosions shake the base form bombs. The loot they take as well should be your GEAR, and under the most severe purge, they should be dropping a god or two. Compared to what I just mentioned, the game seems kind of kid friendly. The things I suggest above are not even all that hard, and in light of the proposed changes... the new updates seem kind of ... less than half done. Before you think... "Just go back to PVP"... I want to say that the only reason I started on PVP was because SP was far far too easy and I was nowhere even close to PVP good back then.
I disagree this is a great change. Although, the change itself is good, FunCom, in my opinion, dropped the ball once more. The loot is more interesting. That is for sure. However, it is irrelevant in most cases. I have watched few UA-camrs and it seems everyone is finding more or less similar items. Let me ask you, how many bows or shields are you making through your playthrough? Half of items in the chests are crafting materials for weapons and shields, then decorations, some lotus, gold (aot of gold) and treasure. Last two are ok, but very quickly you will be skipping those chests as you did before. FunCom need to create ingame economy. Then raiding will become more meaningful.
I think the idea behind more strings and shield frames is to bolster the idea of continually re-crafting your gear. The saturation might be a bit too high on those items right now, but seeing as legendaries are gonna get a bit harder to acquire by virtue of being at the end of a dungeon, I can see the logic behind providing more shield frames and sturdy strings. It's a shame they don't at least dismantle into their component parts though
The Legendary weapons are still the same...mostly useless. Better for new players for sure. Isle of Siptah has some great weapons but noone plays IOS. How about some eldarium drops or some siptah weaps/recipes in the original map?
Honestly, the loot is still just trash. In an MMORPG you at least have loot that you need for your build for example. Here you get a lot of thash. Most of that you just dismantle.
Meh i don’t like it tbh. Too easy. Makes the legendary chest re-moving pointless. Run into warmaker open first few chests. Find tons of weaponhandles, bowstrings, starmetal - go n craft lvl 1 bazaar weapon for an easy start. But as well too easy is that cimmerians drop star metal weapons too now. For armor i run then to unnamed city and get silent legion armor too from those npc mini bosses. They should fine-tune the drop chances for any weapon and armor related items imo. I do like the faction themed loot changes they did though.
They allready made it mor grindy removing the legendery chests by sound of it u wont be happy till you have spend 200 hours grinding to beat a single dungeon how much grind do you want

rip the 30 minute quickstart of running from the corpse tree to the crocodile with stone daggers and getting your hands on some legendary weapons
A crazy thing I saw is the Relic Hunter bosses in the Unamed City drops Silent Legion armor!!!!
I saw one of the bosses in New Luxor drop a Silent Legion piece too, I was quite surprised
