Not bad, hope you don't mind some advice from an ambassador of the Ray Harryhausen Foundation? Don't have the tail moving all the time, as someone who was taught by Ray before he passed away, he taught me that the tail movement implies the creatures thought process as much as the rest of the body, so cutting down the tail movements should give it more character. He also told me that both he and O'Brien kept the tail moving during high action scenes to distract audiences eyes from other, less animated parts of the body. Keeping the head steady was a good move. Glue one foot down, when something stands still it never really stays still, a simple step forward or backwards (even tiny steps) make big differences. Lastly, if you can, blinks, I know its a toy but if you CAN make it blink, even in post, it'll also add more life into the figure. Great job all round.
@@MTWC well, if by taught you mean spoken to many times over the phone and one three hour visit to his home and both spoke passionately about animation and tricks and techniques about his and O'Brien's methods... then yes :-)
SMEPIC Mammott agreed, the last video kinda reminded me of someone trying to handle a baby raptor sorta. If that was a real juvenile raptor chick, what you think the proper way to hold it would be?
I am not a professional by any means, but i would recommend Alan Becker's "12 principle of animation" video if you would like to learn how fluid animation is accomplished by professionals. Particularly the 'Arc', 'Ease In/ Ease Out', and 'Drag' Principles. The videos really helped me get a grasp on how fluid movements are accomplished. (Btw, I really enjoy your videos, plz dont stop uploading)
Excellent work .... try not to beat yourself up over the things that you feel don’t meet your expectations .... every step has is part of a learning curve .... keep up the brilliant animations.... 🙌🙌🙌
A very helpful video! I have to shoot a stop motion short for my animation class and am starting my process from watching some tutorials. Yours was first I watched and it is so good I don’t think I need to look for more. I’ve got Harry Potter action figures so will try to make mine magical ;) thanks!
Love your work, man! I just have a question though I guess it's maybe obvious: did you have to drill the figure's feet like you did with the indoraptor in your indomation short? I think you just used a silicone gun, but I might be wrong. Asking you that cause I also wanna make my own stop motion shorts as pro as yours (also I just don't wanna drill my Amber collection Blue ) Anyways, hope you answer this, keep the great work up!
Hey Tony, I actually made a whole video dedicated to “rigging puppets” and go into detail about how I did that. I’d explain here but it’d be a lengthy response. Lol. Should be easy to find on my channel- check out my stop motion playlist.
@@MTWC Thanks for replying. I did see that video You're saying but I think that's the one where you used the Indoraptor figure. I'm asking if you did the same for the Amber velociraptor (drilling into its feet or using a silicone gun).
Oh sorry mate. Yea, for the amber collection figure I just used hot glue. Although, if I could redo it, I would probably rely on tacky putty to fasten the feet down. Less destructive and holds really well.
Informative video! I think it would look more realistic though if you mixed up some plasticene clay that matches the raptor skin color, and cover the joints so it would look less like a jointed toy, and more like a flesh and blood creature. It will take longer to make the film, but the raptor will look better. Keep up the good work!

ML Tharme you were taught by Ray himself!? 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻

ML Tharme I thank that counts. 😊
I got A velociraptor amber collection toilet today😀😀😀
Toy
I've always wanted to see the Amber Collection Raptor animated, so glad you came in!

OH you said video… I thought there was a book. I went to search for it and was like, where is this thing? lol. Great video. Thanks
Making Things With Cameras lol, yeah I was wondering too 😂
I'm instantly brought back to the Tippet scene animatic.
Hugely inspiring!
Wait, he animated the Go Motion test?
This is exactly what I was looking for today
Awesome! I loved seeing the walkthrough of these shorts!
10 out of 10. Would recommend. Great watch. Super informative.

Could you please animate this scene where the velociraptors are searching the kids in the kitchen it would make me so happy
AAAH! That was so amazing!
I LOVE THIS can you do more stop motion with amber collection velociraptor?
Your video is really epic that I love your videos and I value all your work where you buy the figures
Wow that is so cool I always wanted to make stop-motion like that but you are the best at it
Love it but u should add one more raptor that look cool like a small pack.
Khoa Bradley send me the figure! 😂
@@MTWC lol :))

That was an amazing animation!
Is this the original movie 🎥 🍿
I liked it was really realistic🤩
Ya I am going to do one but when you move it how do you dont show the hands in the camera or the video???
What do you mean?
What do you use to keep the raptor planted on the ground to keep it from falling over
So cool i also try to stop motion. I am already on my way and your video really helps me on my way.
Its been like years since you uploaded. great stopmotion!
me encanta , sobretodo el momento cuando lo llevas con la mano , parece real
Awesome figure!!Awesome video!
This is
Art👍👍👍👍👍👍
Excelente trabajo. Ademas ya quisiera hacer mi propio stop motion con la figura ámbar colección que compre
I like your stile of animation excelent work great stop motion
That’s some good stuff
Amazing bro!!!! Which velociraptor from amber collection is this one??
Good work once again.
you must be rich to get that velociraptor toy because in the uk the cheapest I could find on google was literally £50 :(
You got my like!
i like it when people say thanks for watching. like, your welcome man :D
i just have one question
wasnt there two velociraptors in that clip from the actual movie?
Know I’m a little late to this party but I love the inclusion of some scorpios Rex sounds gives the raptors some better character in the animation
I want to learn how to do that. 😃😃 Can you show us some sprinting, walking, pouncing, and calling and other animations just like in the movie?
How about a animation showing a couple of these things tearing a Woden model apart (like with the indoraptor animation.)
love your work
I love this.

@@MTWC Thanks man! Good thing I've got both materials, so I'll try both and see which works for me.
Do you use dragronframe?
I do!

If you are still into this, do you think you could animate amber pteranadon coming soon?
Oh I plan on it!!!
Cool
I think its out on BigBadToyStore for 35 dollars. But coming to target on april for 30.
Cant wait to see it. I love the pteranadon. I will get it soon
There barley any stop motion animation with this figure line despite the articulation. More people should do this.
I’m guessing maybe if the stand for the figure was used it would’ve made it easier for it.
DUDE! YOU DHOULD MAKE A 6 EPISODE SERIES WITH THE AMBER COLLECTION DUDE THATS WHAT WILL PROBABLY GET YA SOME MORE SUBS
Were so you shop tihs dinosaurs!?!?!?!?!
i want that toy where can i buy it?
I NEED THAT TOY
What software did you use to make the stopmotion? Is it free?
DragonFrame
@@MTWC thanks for answering!
You need something to keep the raptors more steady and then remove it later with editing
After seeing this video now I really want to get it
Ray would be very happy.
i’m no expert, but i think the problem is that the feet feel to fixed. it should be stepping more when it shifts it’s weight
hey if you see this probably not.
well can you do this but with beasts of the Mesozoic raptors
how u do that?
I want to see the ppl who disliked this do ALL of this too
Wheres the tutorial?
10/10
Off brand Chris Pratt, this is amazing.
WHY ARNT THERE 2 RAPTERS
he didn’t buy two. and it’s raptors, not “RaPtErS”
I need this I like flexible figures
Just imagine the cera or the T. rex from the amber collection
Wheres the original animation
What do you mean?
Nice+100th comment

Hey man this is so cool, check out my indoraptor video you may like it
Awesome figure!!Awesome video!
