I like the Croat. I think he's a cool villain. Cool villain that also gave us a Simon flashback. Negan also has to basically face his past self in Croat. Pope and the Reapers were also cool until they were totally wasted by the plot cuz their storyline was rushed. So in Pope's case that is pretty much until his death. I get the point this video wants to make but it feels redundant to just judge a villain based on a few secs long clips about them. But then again that is UA-cam shorts content. Quantity over quality to maximize views and bite-sized vids with usually very little substance.

Troy Otto literally was one of the best Villian in FTWD, to the point he got brought back. And were NOT gonna talk about how he's alive and died again.
What makes the early villains more villainous and scary is because I feel like an everyday person could be pushed to the limit that those villains were to, to change. I also think it’s because of how realistic the crimes done could happen if something like TWD would happen to us.

Walking dead isn't really the type of show that always has black and white villains, or at the very least, Shane wasn't like that. He was a layered character that tried to do everything to keep them safe. Feels weird comparing him to someone like Negan or the Governor.

The villains went from broken or evil maniac psychos who were influenced by the new world to something I would expect from a fallout game. Like seriously it’s hard to believe someone like Teddy or that french guy exists in the same world as the Governor.

In my opinion the new villains hold their own compares to the old age classics. but besides Simon and maybe the governor the new villains have no redeeming qualities which makes sense in an apocalypse. the new are real psychopaths which fit the more modern world they find themselves in. The new villains who thrive in this world unlike Neegan who has seasons and a whole episode becoming a goodie and an explanation unlike the Croat or the general. Hit my opinion of course 😂
i never really think of shane as much of a villian cause he only sabotaged the group for one episode and that was to kill rick, not the group, his was a little more excusable reason (not saying it is completely but lori said stuff that made shane want to kill rick) than any other antagonist
