    Fujara, the majestic overtone flute of the Tatra Mountains!
    I will start at the basics and teach you step by step how to play and cotroll your instrument!

    Thanks Winnie for your videos, they are always great, I play pipe and tabor, I didn't know the fingerings were the same, they are giant tabor pipes =)

    • @1fujara
      @1fujara  4 роки тому +1

      yes that is correct! that's also the origin of these big ones by the way! Tabor players in the army made the small pipes spread all over Europe.

    Question. When all the holes are plugged, do 6 notes sound from the lowest to the highest?
    I ask because in the previous video I thought it was just the notes you showed us and in this video I can't see what your fingers are doing.
    Excellent video it's amazing

    hello there, thank you very much for this tutorial. i just received my first fujara and the thumb hole is bigger than what my thumb can cover. do you have any suggestions? beeswax?

  • @JimiVexTV

    Damn, was hoping for lesson 3. Also, I don't think you mention what key the fujara is tuned to - what's the key?

  • @veverka2202
    @veverka2202 3 роки тому

    Thank you so much! Very inspiring. I wanted to ask - is it possible that my fujara has different fingering? When I try to play F# as you show, it does not really work for me and it cracks to some lower tone but when I play it with the upper hole covered, it is fine. I am just wondering if I am doing something wrong or I have different fujara.

    • @veverka2202
      @veverka2202 3 роки тому +1

      No, sorry, I watched the video again, I got confused, it is the same fingering. :)

    • @1fujara
      @1fujara  3 роки тому +1

      ok, but still fingerings might differ a bit per fujara depending on the hole placement :)

  • @pennysasik3944

    I just have a question, so is it that every increase in pressure is an octave?

    • @fishercawkey
      @fishercawkey Рік тому

      Not necessarily - the overtones will follow the natural scale, so the only octave jump is that from the fundamental to the second partial. The higher jumps will be progressively smaller.
