Absolutely the manufacturers minimize the ability of the consumer to diagnose and repair. I have a True treadmill and have an issue with an error that does not appear in the manual. I contacted True and the first thing the guy said to me after I thoroughly explained the issue was, "I can contact a regional repairman for you." NO, that's note what I want, I want you to tell me what the error code means! So many consumer products have helpful customer support lines...why do treadmill manufacturers make it so complicated (I know, $$$$).

How did you get your cover off?
Thanks for this!! Mine stopped working today. I have had it for only 12 months!! And for like 9 of those months it was stored. So krs lightly used and I can't believe it just stopped working

Great video! Is there a difference between controllers that have white or black switches?
I didn't know there were different colors. The guy at the link I listed who sells them is really knowledgeable and helpful so you can ask him.
When you said you looked up the error code, where did you do that? My red LED just does a continuous blink when I try to start the belt, but I can't seem to find anywhere that tells me the exact issue?

How did you get the cover off? The screws at the front are removed but I can’t get the cover off for fear of breaking the cover
It has been awhile, but there might be screws on the side or clips to unpop. Be gentle but firm and it should lift off.
Just had this issue arise as I was doing sprint intervals. I hear the treadmill start and then it comes to a complete stop. Do you still think it’s the control board in that case?
You can tell by watching the error code LED on the controller board. It flashes codes when the unit malfunctions. It will tell you if the board is bad. It sounds like the same symptom as mine.

I have a PFTL13118.1 ProForm treadmill with the same problem. The control panel also flashes red lights as well. How can I replace it? And what kind would I need to replace it?

I had a similar problem and I did what you have demonstrated here. After replacing the board the treadmill runs ok if I don't step on it, if I am on it runs for 32 seconds exactly. After the 32 seconds it stops. Then I have to press the stop button and start it again, it runs for another 32 seconds and then stops. I called a servicing company to re-align the belt and they did. So I know this is not a belt problem. They also lubricated the inner side of the belt.
At this time it's looking like it is either a controller problem (faulty replacement controller) or the motor problem which seems unlikely given the motor is working when I am not on it. Any ideas what I can try?
Yeah, check the blinking lights on the controller board. There is a link in my video of how to decode them. They will tell you if the board or motor are bad.
I have a 2022 serenelife treadmill I turn it on it shows the numbers and lights up i press start and the seconds start to count down but the treadmill dosent movie might be to tight or gotten loose or maybe one of the metal wires got loose when i open it up

I thought mine broke when it was just the ifit program. They didn't connect movement to the video. Be sure to check that first. 👍

Mine blew a fuse in my house now my belt won’t move do u think this is the problem
Hard to say, but the on board diagnostics can help. Follow the video where it talks about the light that blinks on the main board and how to determine its meaning. Good luck.
Check the cable isn't damaged in any way, a fuse will blow because of a short
