The missing bit in the Body Snatcher intro is: "...since the Lugosi biographies and Tim Burton's film Ed Wood, watching these old movies can make you feel other things too. Lugosi was born in Hungary in 1882. For 17 years he was a leading actor in Budapest. He became a leftist at the age of 18 and after the defeat of Communism in his native country he left for Germany, then in 1921 for America."
B Kurious Thanks for uploading these, looking back on these now. I was always dismissive of Cousins years on Moviedrome, he seemed far more Art House Snob to Alex Cox who seemed to love any genre of film . I do think now His last year on Moviedrome, he found his feet perfectly and he's finding his personality that made Scene by Scene such a pleasure to watch. I thought he struggled after he replaced Cox, but I do love that he has the balls to knock director legends such as Altman and Huston and call them overrated. I also liked that like Cox they weren't afraid to say the film the audience was about to watch weren't that great lol.
Thanks so much for this. Moviedrome was really important to me as a movie-loving teenager in the 90s.
Thanks for sharing this!
