Engine sounds would be better than music.
You can’t really hear the engine inside the cockpit.
The engine sound is
All you'd hear in the cockpit is a loud whining noise... annoying and bad for your hearing.
This is an old vid. He probably couldn’t find the original without music but it’s still sick footage either way.
An F-15 sounds pretty much like constant whining sound from cockpit, it almost sounds like constant radio interference, unless I got that mixed up with another jet.
I was like, those video games are sure getting better
It’s the new top secret RTX 6090 😂
DCS in VR with a Varjo Aero on a 4090 is pretty close to this.
I concur with foobee2 😊
@@foobee2 With a 4090, the only thing you're missing, is the "G's".
they are
Can you believe these pilots are actually PAID to fly these awesome aircraft? Love it.
2:14 was going to ask what that flash was. Thought it might just be sun glint, so took it frame by frame and could see the sun hit the nose first and then your shadow appeared for a split second at the same time in a gap in the mountains. Awesome.
Geologically speaking, that is a classic picture of headward erosion.
I like seeing the shadow of the aircraft on the ground in certain views.
Has to be one of the best jobs ever~ Seeing so much more than the rest of us. Only way up is Space after that much fun~
I think this os more fun than space
The vastness and emptiness of the place! Imagine getting lost down there.
I thought this was a video game at first..
Nowadays, simulation games are so realistic that even pilots fly in simulators at first. :)
I knew it was real. Too good lol
lol; real life will never look as good as DCS does
Why is the seat position so high???
@@Ginuwine-kx2ivgo pro on the helmet which you see in the mirror
Nice to see a much cooler perspective of that country!
New DCS Afghanistan map!😂
So cool! Incredible. Thanks for sharing
Thanks!
Last Monday, I took the day off to go fishing with my buddy. We weren't catching shit besides some sun, but my friend kept reminding me, "But it sure as hell beats a day at work." Then we were blessed by the sounds of freedom as 3 pairs of F-15's from Westover ARB passed low overhead. While watching them, I had a thought and said to my friend, "I bet those guys would much rather be at work than down here fishing with us assholes." LOL!
I mean, what could you possibly want to skip work for? There's no hobby that beats blasting through the sky at the controls of a supersonic weapon.
It is an incredibly demanding job and the flying is one of the only good things about it. Even then some days are just about all you can do. To keep an edge that sharp you are almost always on the stone. Your time is seldom your own or to share with family but it is a rush you just can't get anywhere else.
Many references to DCS and flight sim games, but I must say, it does bring the pucker factor up a bit when you know there's no reset button on this one. Thanks for sharing!
That was beautiful! You are soooo very blessed to have flown in a F-15 for your country! With my bad eyesight I couldn't get into a flying mos ever. Thank God you post these videos! Love you man! I love all our service men and women! God bless! ❤❤❤❤
That clip felt way longer than it actually was, in the best way!
Was there much worry of a shoulder launched surface-to-air missile coming up to greet the aircraft?
Exactly. That's why the "Sometimes after missions fighter pilots would fly low level to keep their skills sharp" line is b.s.
No.
Less music more engine
Noted 👍👍
Phenomenal scenery and great skill flying in that canyon. Military pilots make it look effortless and I’m envious of it. I had no idea Afghanistan had these type of canyons and terrain. Thank you for sharing it with us. What area (N, S, E, W) is this in? Would love to cruise it in DCS when the map is released.
Wow this is so thrilling to see just how close this pilot got to the rocks, hills and mountains yikes, what an excellent pilot for sure, thank you for the ride along.
Amazing video highlights a fighter pilots skill to see and react to terrain.
Okay, that just looks like pure fun. How, I miss flying low level at speed. Thanks for the video!!!
Was there in winter 07 to 08. Cool to see it from the air perspective.
When I was stationed in Yuma AZ as an F-4B pilot I did the same thing in the Grand Canyon. It is tighter than these mountains and I was having a great time until I saw a cable drooped across the canyon. I went to afterburner and went straight up. I never did that again!
Glad to hear you’re alright. How come they let you do that? I always assumed you guys didn’t have much freedom on where to fly when they send y’all up.
It was very nice to see some of what the pilot see. Very nice, very enjoyable. Thank you.
Awesome brother! You're a lucky man!
Awesome video Neo 🤙 guns up
Great video. Thank you sir for sharing
Do you have any inflight where we just hear the sound of the jets? Thank you......Also, at times was there a pucker factor when doing these canyon flights??
Ace combat taught me that you could've kept going
😂
Beautiful flight over gorgeous terrain... suddenly running out of canyon is no real risk for the F-15 though , it can accelerate straight upwards anyway. 🚀
How much fun is that?! I think you'd like ski racing.....hope you were wearing your long-john's at the time!
This is kind of death star flying! 😮
But impressive! ❤
Thanks for sharing! Fantastic landscape; and feels unreal with one side of the Canyon’s walls appearing like hot desert mountains while the other still covered with snow, finally ending on the plateau under white blanket of snow.
What’s the altitude of the area, around 2.000m - 3.000m, or higher?
do u have it without the music and just the engine sounds ?
Awesome vid! I saw you didn't have gloves on, I figured your hands might get a little cold ,no?
DCS graphics getting really good!
not quite that good.
Like the flying part but don't understand the canyon ends suddenly title.
Clickbait title, but awesome video.
crazy how much bigger the displays look irl vs on a monitor
How many forms did you have to fill out to be able to post this?
DAM, That was AMAZING!
Looks like some decent ski terrain.
"Gotta watch those right turns homeboy."
Beautiful thanks!
Amazing view, thanks for sharing. For anyone asking for different music, mute the video and play it with "How The Gods Kill" by Danzig. Lol
WOW
I would love to go skiing or boarding, yeah that was soooo kool
Epic!
Many thanx 👍👍
Wow! Very impressing!! 👍👍💪
Amazing looking countryside
The Eagle's eye view.
There's always a few seconds where I'm wondering is this DCS World or real footage? Lol.
😂 that’s a big compliment to DCS 👍
Omfg that must have been soooooo epic 😮
Cool NOE, ending in a box canyon. Pull Up!
Any recommendations on how to ots into pilot?
Nice! Thanks for sharing..
Looks fun as hell! 🤘
Great video!
This would be a cool IMAX film
Flying fairly slow and the canyon doesn't "end suddenly"
I guess that is why the F-15E is called the "Mud Hen"! During this flight she is definitely down in the dirt!
The Canyon didn't suddenly end, he didn't follow right because it was a sharp turn, so he entered a tributary. Whenever you are in a Canyon, anywhere in the world, if you leave the main river the terrain WILL reach the base level very quick. He was totally aware of that and started a slow climb, didn't even need to pitch up, no sudden or surprise.
Yep, definitely a click bait title.
I do the same thing on flight sim. Are you somewhere near 400 or?
What the cruise speed in there?
Not sure about this particular flight but Strike Eagles usually fly at 500kts at low level.
Another round coming in from Stonehenge detected. Mobius 1, descend below 2,000 ft
"Remember: efficiency of enemy aviation is 50% , air defence is 70%, terrain is 100% efficient!" © a slogan at some air force base
Very cool!
When you realize the the F15 family is still in operation 😂
There’s nothing to replace f 15 yet, and f 22 is still in production
Me: Another bloody DCS Vide.......oh!
🫡
What a ride!!
DAMN that's good!!
That's a funny looking mach loop....
Thanks
Fantastic!
[Laughs in Swiss German] Is *that* called low level? ^^
STUNNING VIDEO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What was the music and who played it
“Just like Beggars Canyon back home!”
I think there was a womp rat about halfway through.
Did yall see that one rock? Crazy
Agreed! It was CLOSE
Is this yourself flying?
Ha, I thought you said it was low level?
You need to fly with the RAF mate
Awesome video
W O W !
Mezmorizing
And they get PAID to do this! Nice work if you can get it!
To keep their skills sharp, or to have a little fun while they can!? :D There is a video out there of an F-16 flying "the Lord's amusement park" in Northern Norway, Lofoten. That is even better than this... Mostly because it is a Viper, of course!
It almost looks like the plane is going slow, but i know that's not the case. Just wonder how fast they were actually going?
450knts
W O W ! ! !
Man of even 200 years ago would think only a God could do this. Now we watch it and, while it is awesome, we're like, ok that's cool, so what's for lunch?
WOW!
cool shot with the planes shadow on the canyon wall
Wow. 👍🏻
You missed the canyon...it went off to the right towards the end.
....where's that damn thermal exhaust port....
An artistic expression of what a jet sounds like, not feeling it.
Epic
“ Captain you don’t own that plain, it belongs to the taxpayers ! “
Is that Hindu Kush range ?
Turn the music down let's hear the jet, wth😂
My dad flies the F15, C/D model tho.
Lucky man. My dad crewed 78-0565. NASA flies her now. I’m gonna miss seeing the C/D go over head. 2026 will be a sad year in aviation with these gone.
Canyon ends? A big deal in a Cessna, means absolutely nothing in a jet fighter.
Imagine having tried really hard in school, working your butt off, being healthy, and getting to strap that machine on every day... wow...
And living in constant fear of the flight surgeon finding some thing wrong with you so you never say a word. Just live with whatever ails you.
