Sorry for your loss, I still have a grandmother and she is 96, I know the Lord has her in his hands and when she goes, she’ll be greeted by my grandpa, my cousin that died in 2004 and my mom that passed almost 3 years ago. I usually make pesto with almonds, but I’m the only one that likes it. 😊
So so sorry. It doesn't matter at all how old or young someone is when they pass. It's still so so sad. I hope all the memories you have helps you get thru it all. I will be sending up loads of prayers for you and the family and friends of your grandma
I am so sorry for the loss of your grandmother. Mine has been gone a long time, and there are still times that I think, "Mamaw would love that," or Mamaw would be so sad to see that going on." She and my grandfather raised my brother, sister, and me, so I have many fond memories of them. ❤ Prayers 🙏 for you and your family.
So sorry to hear about your loss. Prayers to your family. I'm sure she will be watching over you from above as you can and preserve. Nuts are crazy expensive in the states as well. I've been using up my walnuts in the pesto.
Lynn, you aren’t grieving grandma’s age. You’re grieving grandma. I lost my mom when she was 90 and I grieved like she was 20. I am praying for you and your family as you go through this difficult time. God is walking right beside you.
The pesto sounds good, even though I don't believe I've ever had a pistacio nut LOL I agree that pine nuts are super expensive. I bought some once when I was young and foolish and, at the time, had the budget for such "necessities." And, yes, it was for pesto. My neighbor and friend, who was Italian and made THE BEST sauce ever [my mouth still waters just thinking about it), was sponsoring our potluck meal one night. This was in an apartment complex, and a couple of times a year, a few of us would get together for supper. This particular night, she asked everyone to bring either a pasta main dish or a dessert. She and her husband would take care of the rest. Wine 🍷 was optional So, I found Pasta with Pesto. It sounded delicious. I saw my neighbor's husband and told him of my decision. He said it sounded great, but that I should probably at least make a double recipe since there would be 8 or 9 people. OK.. Armed with my recipe and list, I headed out. I had to go to 3 grocery stores to find enough pine nuts for my (doubled) recipe. But it turned out delicious! And no leftovers. If yours turns out. I may try it. Thanks for sharing!
Sorry for your loss Lynn. Those are cool freezer cubes. Blessings 😊
Your never ready even if you know it is coming, you are never ready, hugs and prayers Lynn.
