      Cheers Sharpey mate, exciting times mate but this step in appointing your builder is a MASSIVE one, also I forgot to mention in video a good builder wont beg for work they pick you while your picking them. As my builder told me "sometime you just know working for them aint going be worth it"

    Do you feel it was more expensive to do the project in 2 parts?, we are planning 3 projects and thought it would be more cost effective to have it done all together? We are just waiting for planning permission so nearly at finding a builder stage.

      I can only say I was happy with the way we split our house extension up. I will list the positives below as we split our home extension into 2 sections mate, I hope this helps.
      + Less disturbance to living standards during the build.
      + I learnt a lot on watching phase 1.
      + I was able to stack some £££ to the side during our short break, in order to readjust budget.
      + I was able reenergize (it takes a lot out of you, even when things are perfect).
      + By having 2 sets of approved plans it made approval simpler & if complicated on 1 phase you can crack on on the other phase while challenging the complications/ rejections)
      + Less disturbance to neighbours.
      + More space to escape the knock through, as this is the hard part.
      + The break brings back the enthusiasm.
      + The break let me assess the builders, electrcians, plumbers etc. I was beyond blessed with my team especially the builder. But if I wasnt I could pivot.

    You were lucky. We have done two extensions on the house and while the jobs got done I wouldn't use them ever again. I nearly throttled one of them. The only thing to say is sort out the payments plan before you break ground. That way they don't mess you about and keep walking off. I've told the boss....she wants anymore work doing...😡😡

      Gutted to hear that mate and I can see how that would honestly be so challengeing to deal with and handle. I was super lucky with Johnny B. The more i hear things like this about bad builders it makes me relise just how great I had it. 100% on payment plan, I should have stressed that more in the video mate
